Exclamation Help! LD everynight! is this normal?

I'm glad that i finally found a forum that is about Lucid Dreaming. I lucid dream nightly, and i can't seem to figure out why. I have never had any training, and have never practiced any methods to induce it... it just happens. I'm in no way complaining, because i think of it as my second "reality". But my question is, Is it normal that this happens every night? I can't talk to anyone i know about it because they think i'm crazy.

Also, Is there anything significant about what is in LDs. In these dreams, here recently, i always seem to run into one of my old friends, and i don't know why. He show's up out of nowhere, and then follows me my whole dream, i just don't know what he is doing there.

      Yo.
Some people can get lucid dreams naturally without any practice, and you happen to be one of them, so you are lucky.
And you are not crazy, it's just most of people can't understand us dreamers, and that's why this forum exists so we can talk to people who can understand and share the knowledge and stories.
As for old friend, why not ask him in the dream why he's following you? Maybe you have been remembering him lately?

      Hey megan, welcome to DV!

Wow i'm jealous, lucie every night, that's awesome. It isn't very common to have them every night, though a handful of people around here do. Congrats! And i agree, the best way would be to ask the dream character directly. Do you have good control during your lucids?

Oh btw, you might want to check out the Tasks of the Month/Year we have here on DreamViews: Task of the Month or you could try to do the previous tasks of the month if you want.

If you need anything, dont hesitate to ask or send any of us a PM cheers.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Wow, you are very lucky to have a LD every night without any induction method. I wish I could that, then I wouldn't have to get up in the middle of the night when I want to practice xD
Sometimes I surprise myself wondering how would my character sheet be.

I'd say the frequency of naturally occurring LDs depends on the person. There is no norm here. I think it's a great skill to have no matter whether naturally or gradually developed and you can surely use it to learn a lot of things as well as to have fun.

I often have friends from my distant past appear in my dreams, sometimes even more often than current ones. I feel like our subconscious is like a big memory storehouse and is not very good at telling present from future or past. To it there is just now. So it may pick up a person you met when you were five years old, and feel as if you last saw that person yesterday. Also if you have spent a lot of time or emotions of any kind of on a person, then this person will be remembered more by your subcon. This is my explanation, but I also agree with the others to try and ask the person why he is there, and since you LD every night, I would suggest to ask him a number of times to see if you get the same answer.

My friend's grandmother is the same way, apparently nearly every dream she has is an LD. She figured it was normal for it to be that way. If only it were, lol.

Welcome to DV ! i hope to hear about your experiences, and possibly learn to do it like yourself ( no RC, no WBTB... )

your friend's grandmother hehe that's so coool
Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way

Hi MeganMassackre! I belive that LD's occur depending on one's personality and view of the world. Me for example, I do think/over thinking waaay to much to get my mind clear enough from all those distractions that occupies my subcounscious. But with meditation or ADA (All-Day-Awareness) I get my mind more clean from all the tought's and I have a much bigger chance to get lucid.

But what I like to know about you. How do you view life, do you take everything as it come? Or do you almost never worrying? It would be nice if you would like to describe yourself a little with good and bad habits about yourself.

And I just got to say that I dont think that any one here would think that you are crazy, because that would have been crazy for real. I think some people that might be afraid of the idea to be aware in dreams, are just afraid of it because it's so unusual "not normal". But what you really are is just gifted
