Though I'm not really interested in discussing Aneas anymore, both because I'm not sure he's even here anymore and also, well why bother, since he (or perhaps his ID thief?) is completely uninterested in or unable to communicate with us. But, given that you did all that research and it looks like your post was lost in yesterday's activity, here's a thought:

Though I probably could find debatable issues in it (i.e., seriously? you learned to LD from a voice speaking into your ear? That is disturbing on so many levels), the stuff you found does indeed lend excellent support to our complaints toward Aneas. But shouldn't he be telling us this stuff, and not you?

Perhaps he cannot. Perhaps you are correct, and Aneas today is actually an imposter. Or maybe his condition has taken its toll on his mind, as it would, and the folks at the hospital only let him out long enough to sneak a couple of incoherent lines on the nurses' station computer. We may never know, but what we do know now, thanks to you is that Aneas today is much different than Aneas of yesteryear.

Anyway, I just figured someone should let you know that your effort was not ignored -- maybe Aneas already PM'ed his thanks?

To me it seems that a natural at anything wouldnt really be able to explain the how very well because they could always just simply do it. Whereas a student of whatever it may be (lucid dreaming here of course) would have to learn it by learning the how part to ever even come close to achieving the same. If im right (very possibly not) then I can understand that it might be much harder for aneas (possible natural?) to elaborate on the details and such.

      Sorry Aneas

      I missed that bit.

I met a woman in 2008 who was in her 60's. In the 1970's (she was 20 ish) she went to doctors because she was always tired. finally they sent her to one of the early sleep laboritories in US.

They quickly saw that she never went into REM.

She feels very luck that they discovered that, because people with the congenital condition that prevents them from ever going into REM-state sleep, die of heart failure in their late 20s-early 30's.

The heart needs REM sleep to keep healing itself.

But they put her on a tablet that helps the heart to keep healing and she is alive today.

      She never remembers any dream.

I guess you may have something similar but no NREM instead.

I hope there will be help for you soon Aneas. The way there is for those unable to enter REM.

I appreciate that. It was a little tl; dr; anyway as you like to say. I found it fun to dig back into the archives like a mystery I was attempting to solve. I wasn't sure how I felt about my post so I wasn't worried about it getting buried back there in the thread though. He hasn't PM'ed me either.

Firstly before you get anywhere I think it needs to be defined what exactly a Natural LDer is? As one Mans/Woman's interpretation seems to be different from another's.

If we look at other Skills in which the term Natural is used we get an idea.
If someone says "they're a Natural Guitar Player", referring to Hendrix or Clapton say, then it doesn't mean that either of them could play the Guitar before any of them picked one up!

Again if one says "they were a Natural Wordsmith or Poet" referring to Shakespeare or Kipling, again it wouldn't mean that they could Write the way they could without any Learning!
Had they lead different lives they may have never written a Play or Poem in there entire life.

What it means is that they picked it up quickly and became Masters of it once they applied there self to the Skill!

From that my Definition of a Natural Lucid Dreamer is somebody who after finding out what Lucid Dreaming is and applies themselves to it, has many Regular Lucid Dreams from that point on with relative ease.

Obviously if someone has many Lucid Dreams without even knowing what a LD is, then they would also be considered a Natural LDer.

That bit actually didn't seem odd to me. I have disembodied voices in LDs and NLDs. Usually offering advice. I had one last night, advising me not to drink a really disgusting drink that I had every intention of gulping down. Whether or not you see who is talking, it's all coming from the same place anyway.

Where do you think these voices come from? I get these a lot too, and often times they give me advice/info that I had no previous knowledge of before. Even stuff that I doubt my own subconscious could tell me, but who knows what goes on in there!

Do you believe in spirit guides or shared dreaming to be a possible source?

I think it's my subconscious, though I can't dismiss other possibilities. It certainly is someone very familiar to me, since I never bother to turn around to look at them.

I was first taught how to control the dream body, how to fly. And then it transitioned into how to change shape. I learned how to move through solid objects, which is like moving through water. I do feel the breeze when just floating to relax. I was taught by someone who spoke in my left ear. At my first teaching it was the representation of Casper ( I was six).

That reminds me of a dream I had not long ago where I became lucid during an FA in my room, and I was hearing a song playing like it was on the radio. They song's lyrics told me to feel surfaces and textures around me, and then to punch out the glass in the window (which was ridiculously small - much smaller that in waking life), to reach outside and feel the bricks, and then it told me to eat the broken glass. I did all of this and each one made the dream much clearer - it rapidly became my highest-level lucid yet.

Personally I believe any spirits or dream guides that help you are just manifestations of your subconscious (and that includes you Gab ).

For what it is worth, many of you know I claim to have received training from entities. I am incapable of doubting someone based on a claim of divine/entity derived knowledge.

Aneas has asked Sageous why he is angry with him, Sageous answered that he is not angry, but keep in mind that for someone who has been abused one is more likely to perceive anger even when it is not there, and the Internet is not good at showing emotion, so those of us who are prone to do so, are likely to assume worse than there actually is.
I have spoken in depth with Sageous and have been quite open and expletive about my experiences. I have the uptmost respect for him and there is no problem.

I am happy to hear that Aneas and Sageous were able to talk. I will not pry. By the way, I finally had the chance to ask my father about some of his lucid dream experiences and he also had what he described as a voice or entity talking to him. I haven't experienced that but have dreams talking with my dad and have some weird dreams which after talking to my Dad or Brother we seem to have had some level of a shared experience or dream about each other in what seems to be the same nights...could be coincidence..I am skeptical as is normal for me.

Wow. Just read all of your responses. So, to start, I am the Aneas of old. My name is Tony Lee Erickson. I came back to see how others are progressing. And all the claims I have made are true. I did have a dream teacher and yes I always dream....almost. In reading your threads I went back to recent girlfriends and asked them about my sleep activity. Apparently I have multiple episodes of waking during the night saying "help me please, please help me"". Of this I have no recall. I dont know if I want to know.

Hi Aneas, glad to see you back. I was not skeptical about my father hearing a voice in his dreams, just the later part about a possibility of a shared experience...that they may just be a coincidence.

Do you have any theories on the significance of the voice coming into the left ear?

It would be great if we could learn more from you!

I never understood the importance of why it was in the left ear. The closest I could come was the story of Odin's ravens.

Well, It is known that the left ear is better at picking up speech patterns, and the right ear is better is better at picking up music. This may transfer into the dream state as well. just a theory though.

Maybe I should not even have read this far, I definitively didn´t plan on posting - but your sudden reappearance, Aneas, brings me back to this:
