Smile The most realistic feeling/dream you ever had?

      Hey there

I was wondering, what's the most realistic feeling/scenario you have ever had while in a (lucid) dream?

Mine is definitely when I experience a false awakening! All of it feels so real, from the texture of the bed sheets to the layout of my room...It's so cool when first you don't realize you're dreaming because everything feels so real...Amazing how just our tiny brain can duplicate all of these feelings! Kind of makes everybody an architect :p

I'm interested in your experiences, so please share them!

There are some times when lucids seem more real than reality. One dream I had involved free falling and was the greatest feeling I've ever experienced. It was an overwhelming feeling of bliss that completely filled me up. When I awoke, everything seemed right with the world.

That's really cool! I had the same experience where I was slowly running trough a bright forest where I suddenly saw these butterflies. I ran after them and one of them came sitting on my hand, it was so crystal clear...I could not believe my eyes! I also felt this feeling of bliss and utter happiness. Amazing what our minds can do

There is no one dream in my dream journal that I can point to and claim to have been my most realistic. However, I have had a plethora of lucid dreams in which everything I touch feels exactly how I would imagine it feeling in real life. My brother, who I managed to get into lucid dreaming, didn't believe me at first. So, in one of his dreams in which he became lucid, he touched a tree and reported that it felt scary real.
My Lucid Dreaming Motto - "I have walked upon the the surface of a burning star. Observed events so infinitesimal and instantaneous that they can barely be described as having occurred at all. You... you're just a dream character. And this world's most powerful dream character poses no more threat to me than it's smartest cupcake." - Dr. Manhattan (kinda)

I would say flying because it feels so real but I don't actually know what it feels like in real life

Some of my more "OBE" type dreams have been beyond description. Floating under the stars in a world that I can feel in every way. Waking up from these dreams can only be described as the effect of composing a piece of music for an orchestra and then recording it on a 3 track recorder from 1961.

Meskhetyw: I love floating! You saw/liked my blog for that one I had that was out of this world. I also had a wonderful one where I was floating up among many different varieties of trees, blossoming beautiful trees in what was otherwise mostly a void.

I take it that you mean by this quote above that trying to record or convey these types of dreams to others is difficult, correct?

Hugs. They feel exactly the same in dreams. Even the dolphin I hugged felt the same.

Though I haven't had a real lucid yet (still working on it every night hehe), the most intense dream I had was (warning it's a sad one) watching my girlfriend get stabbed to death and dying in my arms. Though not a good dream at all I've not experienced anything even remotely like that in a dream. I don't think I have to tell you what a relief it was to wake up and find it was just a dream.

Sorry if that was a bit ambiguous. I was mainly referring to the experience of a "more than realistic" dream being transferred to memory when I wake up; and yes, it is very difficult to explain.

Floating is great. I often find myself in secluded places in the wilderness, floating upwards in the night. I can feel even the air around me in such a way that it is as though I had some other sense.

I enjoyed reading about your delta encounter. It is a strange place to be to say the least. Do keep us posted on your progress.

I enjoy interacting with water. Say you summons mountain lakes and stream. Know the the water is cool and that a light breeze will blow.
Jump In and screw around feeling the slashing water and such. Very freaky realistic stuff.

Fighting with my family members. When i woke up it felt like i really fought with them. They acted so real and the emotions were very strong. It was all most hard to accept that it wasnt real. Yesterday i had dream that mail that i had waited came i was so real i even read it and when i woke up it took me while to realize it wasnt real . Kind of stupid but intresting how some of my dreams are excatly like real life the memory and the scene match with real life.
