      Frustrated

The thing that frustrates me is that every night i have dreams and remember them in morning.. and i'm always so close to becoming LD. I stopped looking at hands during day maybe cuz i don't do RC i cant? I feel that i'm there in dream but i don't have proof if its real or not. How much RC's should i do during the day and how often? When i did often it often i had 2 LD in first 2 weeks but then gave up, it takes alot of practice and i cant stick with it cuz of my depression :/.

If you have clinical depression you may want to seek help from a doctor first.

It takes a lot of practice to ingrain a habit into your subconscious. I would recommend doing RCs as much as possible, combined with visualization techniques, and mantras. Also, many people (myself include) go through times where the lucid dreams just don't happen. You MUST stay positive. You must truly believe the LDs will come. If you believe they won't, your subconscious will comply.
      DreamscapeGoat and Despot like this.
      Total LDs (some very brief) = 2004: 4 * 2005: 18 * 2006: 16 * 2007: 2 * 2008: 0 * 2009: 0 * 2010: 1 * 2011: 12 * 2012: 3 * 2013: 1 * 2014: 6 * 2015: 1 * 2016: 0 * 2017: 18 * 2018: 3 * 2019: 0 (so far)

I hope you start feeling better soon.

Describe Lucid Dreaming in 3 words: "I Can Fly!" How's that?

LDing in 3 words. Adventure, explore, unknown.

In order to LD consistently, you have to practice LDing consistently and sleep consistently. LDs snowball and you get more and more consistent you are. If you are off and on again, you will more than likely never get good LDs.

Lastly, about the depression. I don't mean to "look down on your condition", but every single person has something that they can use as a crutch as to why they fail. The biggest killer of sleep is normally work, school, and young kids. I don't go to school, but I am studying under my pastor, and that takes time. I have a 9 month old daughter, and I work full time. There are crutches everywhere to grab if i want to claim one, but when I was a kid, I would fail to do things all the time and blame it on things like being busy. My dad told me that "people do what they want to do." Simple, but true. If I want to do something, I will take the time for it and do it. That is why it is good to make a list of things that you want to get done, no matter how you "feel". If LDing is part of that list, do it. If not, then don't.

This is the easiest and most effective technique:
