Sorry to hear about that Jacob. Something I always tell people about goals is to have 1 simple dream goal and try and remember it. Get more complicated later. Something easy like "I want to jump up and down" or "I want to fly." The goal is really more to remember it.
Also I try to make it part of my day work. Slow down, realize I am dreaming, insert dream goal here.
Like most things, you need to start small. I think that a lot of people think that their dream goal is determined by their amount of control, but it can be capped by that or your amount of memory. Whichever one is lower is your limit. I don't know if you have had a chance to read Percylucids dj or dreamers, but they both have a massive amount of dream memory. Percy even, one night before the competition, realized that it was one night before the competition and that points for those dreams wouldn't count.
This is why we have tasks of the month in seperate categories. The basic are going to generally take a small amount of control or memory, things like "find a dc kid and tell him/her it is a dream". Whereas bonus will take more memory like *"Become a pilgrim on an adventure to a new world, be it a new country, or an undiscovered planet. Enjoy a feast with the natives" always a good place to get ideas.
Also, if you would like continuing help with this, you should come to the dream control class (link in sig).
