Have you hit that golden stage?

      Hey,
Within the last two weeks, I've finally hit the stage I want to be at in lucid dreaming. I spent over a year tirelessly investing every waking moment looking into lucid dreaming, involving myself with the dream world (whether it be art, helping others, or just thinking about dreams) and trying to WILD and DILD so much, I eventually started to get mentally drained.
Over the last few months, I've just been too tired to keeping WILDing. But with all the experience I developed over my intense lucid dreaming year, I've finally achieved what I wanted.
For two weeks now, I've been realizing I am asleep flawlessly, once a night. The best part is, usually this happens after I've had a big adventure in the dream, so after the non-lucid fun is over, I become aware I am asleep, usually wake up, and can DEILD. I have noticed that sometimes I become aware I am asleep, then just don't bother to do anything-- but now I have so much opportunity, I don't feel as desperate to make use of the lucid time as I used to, which leads to a better quality of dream.
Its very low maintenance now, I don't have to keep up with those hardcore RCing programs and whatnot, I just RC when I feel appropriate (which I find is about once or twice a day now).

I want to know, have you hit the stage where you get huge results with less effort (Its almost like I've been promoted to a job, with less work and more profit. )?
I know for a fact there are people here that have got to that stage already, which has always been motivation for me, knowing that it is possible. I've always been astounded at Mzzkc's lucid ability, which also kept me going.

You have hit the Lucid Master stage. Now here's my question, do you do any type of RC during the day? Even if it's once or twice? It sounds like you just naturally become lucid, so are RCs obsolete for you?

So how did you do it Loaf? Do you have a special technique or something? If I were as good as you I would've reached that point by now since I've been trying for almost a year now .

      Anyway great job

Yea, I was getting to the sweet spot, but unfortunately got sidetracked and have been set very far back. But Now I've finally got all the time I need to divote to it, so hopefully I'll be right back at it in no time...an you may be seeing me sometime soon, Nomad.

Oh Nomad is one of the shared dreamers.. sorry I'm still new here

I'm working on bringing back my lucid dreaming as well. Once I do, shared dreams is something I'm definitely interested in. It seems so unrealistic though!

Actually, it's fairly simple. (remember that simple does not mean easy) (and I know, I'm not Rathez, and I'm also not by any measure at all a lucid dreaming master)

      Devote 10,000 hours to it.
If you don't know, it's a rule that to achieve mastery in almost anything, all you have to do is devote 10,000 hours to it.

That's only 51 days away from 10,000, and since he said over a year, I'll assume it was around 50 days. Either that, or Loaf had devoted some time to it before he started devoting his whole life to it.

I guess this proves lucid dreaming is not an exception from the 10,000 hour rule.

Yeah I hardly ever do state checks anymore and I'm lucid almost every night. It's true, once you get to a point where your dream consciousness becomes activated to a certain degree you don't really need to put very much effort into it, its easy and natural. I think if people dream journal extensively for at least 4 or 5 months before they start trying induction techniques they will reach this golden stage much quicker. Too many n00bs put all this effort into trying to make it happen and then they give up after a few weeks because it's not working. Lucid dreaming should be easy, and fun.

I had at least one LD for the last 2 days so far. The second day, i had 2 semi-lucid ones, a short one, and a crystal clear one (the clearest ever). For some reason, i feel like i'll have one for the third day too. LDing is easy after all

LDing is an exception to the 10k hours rules, considering it took me 8 years of trying and that is over 10k lol
Anyway, yeah after training for so long you get to know your dreams better and the chances of DILDing become even greater.

That's only if you're thinking about it all the time, every day.
If you're only thinking about it for about 3 and a half hours each day, then it takes 8 years to have 10k hours.
Also, if you think about it more than that, but you have periods when you don't think about it.
Loaf said that he was thinking about it 24 hours a day, every day, for over a year.

i don't really think there's such a thing as a "golden stage," or maybe i just wouldn't be happy with things being static.
i've definitely settled into what i'm doing, but i'm fine tuning on a regular basis.

The gold standard don't seem to be what it use to be.

Exactly what do you consider to be progress?

Forgive me, I am in the mood for a myth.

Once upon a time, there were two young dog breaders, who both brought their prize pups to master Yu. Each of the boys displayed to master Yu how fast the dogs could turn about and chase their own tails. Master Yu told both of them that their performance needed improvement and gave them a month to return.
When they returned, Dave showed his prize pup to Master Yu. Master, look at him now! A month ago he could only turn 20 times a minute chasing his tail, now he does almost 45 revolutions.
Then Mark showed his prize pup, who speedly took off and pounced on a cat.

Remarkable said Master Yu to Mark, your pup has indeed improved.
What! said Dave! That is unfair! Master Yu replied, is the accomplishment of what can be done less important than what cannot?

Dave, of course, did not understand, and left to find a new Master.

Much more than 3 hours a day, I mean, as I kid I was kind of crazy about it, so from waking up to going to sleep, that would make what, 12 hours minimun daily? Exception I say, exception!

I bow to a skill far greater than my own. Congrats, sir.
I love just randomly getting really good at something after not being good at it for a long time.
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

I noticed I started to have big issues with inducing lucidity before it became a breeze, too.

Those still crop up for me from time to time. Like this past week for instance. XD

Still man, it's great to hear you've hit that mark. Oh, and I've never had a week of consecutive LDs, so props on you for beating me out. =P
