What supernatural/paranormal stuff has happened to YOU PERSONALLY?

No need to delve into the potential meanings and interpretations of the words, I think we should very well all know what I'm talking about. To put it into simple words, I'm referring to things that are currently unexplainable by physics, or any other established science for that matter.
That being said, my personal belief is that the world is full of such things. And that such things, as intriguing as they might be at times, are not actually "supernatural" or "paranormal" but rather are simply not detectable and explainable by what we have today. If you could bring radiation or modern telecommunication hundreds or thousands of years back into history, those things would without a doubt be considered supernatural or even magical back then.
You know, just like ghosts and all that stuff might actually exist. Maybe ghosts, spirits and souls are actually some kind of exotic matter that builds up something conscious, matter we can't detect yet like we couldn't detect Higgs bosons until a short time ago.
Enough of that though and onto my personal story.

I have only 1 experience in my life that I just simply can not explain with normal science of today. Sure, like pretty much all humans I had experienced some creepy places, and unexplainable noises here and there, but all those things can have various explanations. Here's the one thing I can't explain.
My story happened in a place I lived in for quite some time, it's a town in Germany called Marl, it's in NRW.
Me and some friends loved to take strolls around the forest during the night, and there was this one particularly weird abandoned house. Now this is not going to turn the probably expected "We broke in and saw ghosts" turn.
Actually my story happened half way between my home and that abandoned house, I was alone and I was on my way back home after going to (not in) that house and relaxing. I can even give an absolutely precise location: 51.666313, 7.062002
You could put it into Google maps or so, or just go with me saying it's close to a highway, pretty much on the middle of a small field. It happened during a night, sometime around or before 2010 I think (I wish I would've written down the precise date...). I was listening to music, not really hearing the outside world, and I was dashing across that field, taking a shortcut, my eyes mostly focused on the ground as not to stumble. It was sometime between 1:00 and 4:00 I think. Almost right in the middle of the field I came to a full stop as I saw 3 pitch black dogs in front of me, like a maximum of 2 meters away from me when I stopped. Needless to say I was shocked at first, because meeting 3 dogs alone in the night while I essentially just ran in their direction seems dangerous.
Those dogs however were really pitch black, as in they did not reflect light, even though the moon lit up the place enough for any normal black dog to not appear like that kind of perfect black silhouette. I could rather feel their eyes than I could see them. Those dogs or whatever they were however barely acknowledged my existence, with only 1 of them even bothering to look at me. No growling, no malicious intent or anything of the likes, it just looked at me and what I was doing. Actually it appeared neither scary nor scared itself. Reflexively after I had stopped I turned 45° to the left and started slowly walking around them. Once I took my eyes off just for a second to confirm the direction I was heading to, they were gone, and believe me the field was far too big and flat for any normal dogs to just get out of sight in a bare second. Any normal dog would've at least taken 5 seconds or so to get out of sight. By then I had also removed my earphones, but still heard nothing.

Naturally I've been asking myself what I had seen.
Normal dogs? Extremely unlikely. Not just would dogs in almost all cases behave substantially different, they also couldn't have gotten out of sight in just a second, not even 2 or 3 for that matter. Much less could 3 dogs achieve that in total silence.
A hallucination? Also extremely unlikely. My mind usually behaves normal to a degree it annoys me. Whenever I had friends who were claiming to sense supernatural stuff I sensed not much or nothing, much less did I ever see something. I have often been tempting my mind to give me hallucinations or see out-of-the-ordinary stuff, to no avail. I have never taken any drugs of any kind so far. Add to that I was mentally very occupied by just generally feeling fine, even a little euphoric due to the music I heard. It came right out of the blue.
So actually it was less like I hallucinated, and more like I just stumbled into these dogs or whatever they were so fast, unsuspecting and surprising that my brain had failed to filter them out of my perception. A mistake it corrected once I looked away shortly.

So, what do I believe happened? I'm honestly not sure, even up to this day. I had absolutely no other unnatural events or anything happen in my life. It's just that all evidence I personally have on this case does not allow me to believe in ordinary dogs or hallucinations as an explanation. It just won't make sense to me no matter how I turn it, so until I get a better explanation, I must assume I encountered something which was not ordinary at all.
To this day I regret looking away. I have sworn to myself that whenever I would find another seemingly paranormal thing, I would face it with an open mind and would not look or run away. I will look at it, analyze it and interact with it unless I feel an immediate danger to my well-being. Those dogs? No matter how I look back, they seemed a tad creepy, but ultimately harmless.

What do you think? Do you have any nice and rational explanation, or some psychological effect I might not be aware of? Or do you have some interesting stories to share yourself?

This definitely isn't as paranormal as yours, but this one is related to a dream I had. I could even remember the dream very well.

This happened years ago, around 2011 or 2010. I really forget.

Anyway, in the dream, I was watching a group of kids and they were all scientists in lab coats. I could feel I was with them, but at the same time I couldn't see myself and I was watching them from a 3rd person perspective. They were doing an experiment and mixing chemicals. The wall behind us was very high with a tall window, similar to the ones you can find at a church. When one of the kids were pouring a chemical into a vial, a large clap of thunder and lightning appeared outside and you could see it from the window. At that instant I woke up. It was the middle of the night. My memory of the patterns that you have on your hands was gone though. When I looked at my hands, I was bewildered. It was like it was the first time looking at my hands, and I thought that instead of the patterns on your hands it should be blank instead.

This experience still surprises me now.
Just a scared old llama on the outside planning to dominate these forums...

      Don't you dare defy me!
Note: I'm big on grammar, you won't see one error coming out of me!

That indeed sounds, albeit probably not paranormal. Remembers me that one time, one morning I woke up, with a feeling I assume not many people experience in their life. I felt some kind of regret, but densely concentrated and pretty much physical, as if all the regret from my life came at me at once. It hurt physically and paralyzed me for seconds, immediately jerking tears out of me. It was weird and shocking to say the least. The same thing actually happened the next morning, although much weaker. Wouldn't call it paranormal or anything though.

I saw 3 pitch black dogs in front of me
*Shivers* look up Jinn, or don't. I've heard they can appear as pitch-black dogs. My friend claims to have seen one in its ethereal white form. I think I may have seen one.

It was in a place far, far away from my home. I was with a group of ~7 guys, all old friends of my cousin. We went up to this guy's farmhouse, we had to drive 4 hours out in the country to get there. It was in the middle of a bunch of hills and mountains, with no neighbors for acres. The house had no electrical power line, it was powered by a hand-cranked generator. When night came, it was pitch black all around. You could see galaxies in the sky, it was amazing. We split into groups, some playing cards, some doing other things. 3 guys had locked themselves into a room and wouldn't open. Soon after, the generator's power died. A few guys went out to re-crank the generator while we lit candles, but it stopped working. The 3 guys in the room came out and told us they had been playing Ouija. We joked around about the lights, but got quiet when one of the guys pointed out a new light.

Like I said earlier, it was pitch black for miles. No houses, nothing but hills. There was, however, a small well atop a hill about a mile from where the house was. Someone pointed it out - where it was supposed to be black, there was a bright light. A lantern, floating in the darkness.

We boarded up the house, locked every door, lit every candle, threw out the Ouija board, stayed up all night and prayed. Or rather, told ghost stories. I was the only one who wasn't informed that apparently, the beings known as Jinn were also known for playing tricks, appearing as dogs, and with lanterns. We planned to stay there the whole weekend, but left the next day. Apparently, that's the thing - they are known *specifically* for playing tricks, hoisting lanterns, and appearing as black dogs.

I had another encounter, but I don't think it was paranormal. It was after work, I was with one of my coworker/best friends. We'd been working all night, it was 2-3 AM when we left, and he fell asleep while I was driving down the road. I heard a strange sound, like something was forcing its way through the wind, and I looked up and saw a craft silently hovering/flying about 200-300 ft above the ground. Not far above the treetops. I thought UFO, but somehow I didn't think it was aliens. The craft looked like a truck, and it had truck-like headlights, but the "cargo" bay was covered with that radar-reflective material used in some fighter/spy planes. It had random tetras-like shapes protruding from the "metalwork." I didn't see a rotor, or even hear any kind of propulsion system, it was like a hovercraft, and really interesting to see. I woke up my friend, freaking out, and pointed it out, he cursed a few times and flipped out about it too, claiming it was probably new military technology, but I dropped him off home not 2 minutes later where he passed out, and I passed out shortly after. When I called him about it the next day, he didn't remember a thing, but I remember it vividly.

Hm, interesting, though I guess it could still be explained by some random person actually being up there with a lantern, for whatever reason. Sometimes people do the weirdest stuff, because they are insane or to freak out others on purpose, and maybe someone decided to creep around there, exactly this night of all.

I'm pretty skeptical about Ouija boards. They work through the ideomotor effect, and even from a metaphysical logical standpoint it makes no sense to assume they'd make the appearance of ghosts more likely than anything else. Apart from the thing there seem to be dozens of people believing in Ouija boards or similar things, and maybe, just maybe it is that belief with makes supernatural occurrences more likely, not the Ouija board or whatever else itself.

      So I copy posted my story from another thread as it's relevant to this discussion and I hate to rewrite it all again;
I was at a sleepover at a friends house and was warned by her that if the lights flicker or the sterio cuts out it's just the ghost. I thought she was pulling my leg but she insisted that the spirit of a woman would sit on the foot ofher bed in the night and brush its hair. Spooky but yeah right I thought. So we were all in the basement and there were about 4 of us. We decided to sleep in the rucous room floor. All wrappwd up in our blankets, everyone had fallen asleep except me. I was reAlly cold and uncomfortable. I roll over and see the light is on in the stairwell leading upstairs and a man is siluetted in the light just standing there watching us. At first I was a bit shocked but then thought, oh the dad is home and came downstairs to check on us. I had only met the mom. So I said hi.
The man turned back to the stairwell and proceeded to disappear with the dimming stairwell light (it was not a dimmer light either) of course this is scary but what happened next was really strange. A large blue orb came back out of that hallway and floated about 4 feet off the ground down the back hallway to where the washer and dryer were kept. It would pulse and I could see the glow of it get beighter and dimmer on the walls of the back room where it was now hidden from my immediate site. At this point I ran to wake ip my friend and the spirit just dissapeard. It was real, not some misunderstood phenomenon. Before I saw the spirit I was feeling like I may have eaten something bad but after that encounter I got so ill (it only lasted about 20 minutes) I was weak and shaky and got down on my knees to make it to the washroom where I was throwing up. everything went black and I started blinking but I couldnt see anything. It was daylight early morning now and there was plenty of light but I couldnt see anything, this scared the hell out of me and lasted about 5 minuytes. Spirits are real. I'm not just talking ghosts either, this thing knew I saw it, it was messing with me on purpose

I've had a lot of strange experiences actually but this was the one that convinced me the supernatural exists.

I was on a camping trip in grade 8 as part of a program set up for kids who had been having trouble in their home lives. I don't remember where the actual location we went was but I think it may have been in the crowsnest pass area. It was winter so we were either doing activities in the lodge, cross country skiing, or going to bed in our cabins we had to hike out to. Well we had been told that there was some 'thing' that looked like a man but had glowing red eyes living in the woods in the area. Of course none of us believed this.
It was durring one of our activities one evening and it was already dark outside, the cabin had a balcony on the back with big glass doors but no one used it in winter. Well I can't tell you to this day if it was a hoax or not but man who seemed to be 7 feet tall, he was (assuming it was a he) unaturally tall. His eyes were glowing red orbs. We all were screaming and pointing when we saw him. The staff told us just to ignore him. Well later that night when we hiked out to the cabins and had all climbed into bed (girls were all in one cabin) everyone was talking about this thing when sure enough I see him looking through one of our windows and yelled there he is and some screamed, some cried. I just hoped to hell the door was locked. We herd the thing circling the cabin and it sounded as if it was cratching our walls. There was an upper part of the cabin sepparate from our area but right above and the thing had found its way up there. It sounded like it was dragging stuff across the floor. That was a scary night

      Well, you asked for it;
Another strange event.. My friend Justins family was like a second family to me. I had been in an abusive relationship and ran away from the guy. My mom wouldn't let me stay with her since she was crazy christian and I supposedly carried demons around in my pockets (of course I'm telling it sarcastically) I stayed with justins family, his mom was the sweetest lady ever and she took me in until I could get back on my own feet.
Well justin and his sister and brother, Sabrina and Methias, are telling me stoories about seeing floating sisembodied hands and hearing huge stomping upstairs when they were alone in the house. Well I was a bit scared becAuse I'd already witnessed the spirit I told you about earlier...but I'm also a bit daring and stupid. Justin had been telling me about this shape shifter that would hang out in his back yard and drive the dog mad.

arts because my phones really hard to post from and I keep loosing parts of my story.
Well the mom and justins uncle had both seen this shape shifter in both human and dog form though it was dog like but didnt look like an ordinary dog as they tell it.
Anyway I decide to provoke this thing one night cuz the dog was going mad in the back yard again. I went to the back window and said some stuff and laughed at this so called Shapeshifter. Well Justin tells me to stop so I go sit down with him and we are talking about his x or whatever at the time and his bro is downstairs with some friends and we hear this unnerving howl just vibrate through the house. Webstop and look at each other. It happens twice more. It didn't sound like a dog or even an animal but not like a human either. Well, I left that window alone from then on.

Want more? Because I have more lol but those are the most interesting occurrences I've personally experienced with the paranormal.
Oh yes, and when I was using a Ouija board too, something one night was tapping on my dresser like someone tapping fingers and then my bed shook. That was the night I decided not to mess with Ouija boards.
My advice is to respect the spirits.

I wouldn't mind more but you really ought to post things in one post. Though as you said I guess that's difficult to do on a phone.
I've tried "provoking" the supernatural multiple times, provoking not meant in a disrespecting manner but challenging some stuff to happen, but aside from that one thing pretty much everything in my life is totally normally. Well with the exception of things just sometimes appearing in impossible places. Like one day I go out shopping, and when I return, at the door I notice my key is missing, but just 1 of them, and I stored all 3 keys I had in the same spot in my purse. That's weird enough, because I was dead certain not to have dropped it anywhere but who knows.
The unexplainable part is that we found the key months later, in the house and to be precise in the secret cache my wife had for these keys, I didn't even know where it was, so I couldn't have put it there myself. Also... we had 3 keys, one that my wife has, 1 that I really genuinely lost because I'm stupid, and then that last one I "lost" while I was outside and which we found safely stored back in the house. Almost as if some glitch rolled back the location of that key as if we never took it out or so. Creepy and I'm not coming up with a single physically possible way for this to happen as I know I had the key when I went out.

That being said, anyone can feel free to post more, wouldn't mind hearing more perspectives.

Love this thread staysharp i have one occassion that might sound positive more than ghosts or demons. I think since few months ago, one morning, i started seeing a single bright dot of energy floating for 1-3 seconds. Its bright enough to catch my attention thinking 'woah what was that?'. This has been happening 4-9 times a day.

My intuition told me it was because of rising of consciousness i had been working on. Later i asked my energy teacher about these bright dots, and then i started seeing two ... then he answered me that its peering into greater density, so i can try tuning my consciousness into them. I havent done it yet but other member told me he also read other person seeing hundreds of these bright dots or orbs and could control their size and movements.

So as crazy as it might sound ill update more when i discover something about this. Its fun playing energies.

Interesting stuff, I really wonder what's going on there.

I have no idea what an energy teacher is. Can you give me brief summary?

As for myself, nothing supernatural has happened to me in all this time. I'm still heavily cracking down on the limits in my brain. It's going slow but I'm making progress. Maybe something more interesting will happen to me along the way.

have u heard of Reiki, or Qi Gong? It's the same, but a person who teaches about energy is simply mastering art of energy that resides in everything in reality (such as energy flow in body, controlling fire, water, air etc)

I've heard about it, but not much to be honest. Also I have absolutely no reference values from me or any close ones regarding that...

About a year ago, I was riding shotgun with my mom as she pulled her car into our garage after coming back from the store. The driver side door was nearest the door leading into the house, meaning I had to get out of the car and then walk around the car to get inside. As I am doing so, the first thing I see is my mom completely frozen, halfway out of the driver side door. I then look up to the door leading into our house slowly closing shut, and which it does completely. There are two things that make me think it wasn't the wind or anything "normal". Firstly, the door was shutting at one speed,as if somebody was pulling it with a string with a constant amount of force, it didn't change in speed at all, just uniform closing speed I guess. Secondly, it is one of those heavy doors, one where if you push it like a normal one it won't shut all the way, you really have to slam it shut or pull it shut completely. The fact that the door at the slow speed it was going means somebody had to be pulling it. Right as the door shut, my mom instantly went and got our shotgun in the garage closet while I got a baseball bat, the only logical thing that was happening was we had an intruder. We go inside, search everything, and don't find a single thing out of place. Really put me on edge for a while, and I still can't explain it.

Interesting. It might've been something supernatural, but depending on how your house was built and furnished the intruder might also have found a good hiding space, it's not unheard of that the one or the other intruder manages to hide even when people are out to find them for real.
The intruder also might have slipped out while you were searching. Guess we'll never know the truth though.

I started experimenting with Time Travel 20 years from now. It doesn't go like I hoped it would.

My wife and I were lying in bed one night probably 15 years ago, awoken in the middle of the night by a sound. We both very clearly heard a small child wimpering and sobbing in our (connected) bathroom for a minute or so. Our older son told us he heard it too. I got up and went into the bathroom and flipped the light switch to turn it on -- the light bulb exploded in a single super bright flash, tripping the circuit breaker. I didn't see anything (our younger son was in bed, I didn't see anything in the bathroom). I went outside to reset the breaker, and we didn't hear anything else after that.

Oh, that is pretty damn creepy. Could be some weird coincidence, maybe the sound came from the light bulb in the first place, but it's hard to imagine.

Remote control car started driving downstairs while the remote was upstairs turned off. Tv turned on and off randomly. Found a top spinning on the dryer, vitamin hit me in the head while in the basement alone. There may be logical explanations for all of these things but they were weird. They happened in the same house 20 years ago. Oh, also, when sitting on the ground my best friend and I felt the earth beneath us jump or bump a little. May have been an earthquake or the ground settling? Another time while star gazing a friend and I saw what we thought was a satellite.
It went straight then at the same speed zig zagged across the sky.

My experience is definitely paranormal, what scares me to this day tho, is thinking what does it mean or why did I experienced that.
To start off, my mom has told me things, some more paranormal, others showed more of a strong intuition of hers and I think I inherited some of those abilities, although in a different way I'd say. But she's never taken any interest in the paranormal, she doesn't want to even hear about it. I, on the other hand am and always have been interested in the paranormal, parapsychology and psychology in general. I've had other things happening to me, like predictive dreams that came true and other things, but this one is so far the worst and least otherwise explainable.

It happened few years ago, I was in uni, living at the dorms. It was two old blocks of flats, each 20 stories. One night, about 2 am I was up watching a tv show on my laptop, when suddenly I got this weird feeling of being watched and intuitively turned to the window, being shocked by what I was seeing. It was a man's face, right outside the window, very sharp features, his face long with visible jawline, joker type of smile eat to ear, how big it was. Don't know how else to describe it. But his eyes were malicious, evil. It seemed like as if some psychopath was about to get in and attack me. Only I was on the 15th floor, so there was no way anyone could actually be standing outside my window. Somehow I had the nerve to try and take a picture to see if it's just me hallucinating from being tired or if it's really there. Then I ran to switch the lights on and wiping the window with a cloth trying to convince myself it was just the stains in a reflection of a lamp or something. That was March.
I didn't realise until sometime in the summer, when I was posting the photo to a friend, that it was saved under the time and date of being taken. March 5th, since it was past midnight, 02:09, my birthday. That scared the hell out of me.
Many people have laughed when i told them, until they've seen the picture. Some people, including my skeptical dad have said they can see horns on that head, i could see them too. Looks a bit like darthvader. All summer, even at home, I always felt being watched from the crack open door to my balcony, so I had to keep it closed in the hot weather. Now I'm thinking, if the cracked open has a connection as well as I've just realised the window was a bit open at time too. I've been told he might be an incarnate, which I learned is a different word for a demon.

One less evil thing that I remember is when my friend used to work in this bar in town, everyone pretty much knew each other, it's a small town. During the times it was open, nothing really happened that i know of, it was a pretty tiny place. But sometimes I stayed after closing time to help my friend clean up so we could go home together. There was this small back room with a foosball table and a couch for smoking and a few times when the light in that room was off, I could see a black man shaped shadow of a man in a hat, sitting on the left side of that couch. The first time freaked me out. My friend said many people have seen him too. Probably sat down for a smoke. I don't know exactly the history of the place, but first thing I personally can remember, it used to be a shisha place. But so little I'd just go in for the tea and incense smell. Could it be the spiritual subtext invited entities?
