Thread: New Age Explained Rationally!

I shared a video about "Hidden Human History" in the Beyond Dreming section (I realize now that it is probably better to put it here) But I found it too late...

Anyway now I just wanted to share what basically made my view of humanity and consciousness a little different. I used to stay away from stuff that mentioned chakras, kundalini and other shenanigans. But this video totally changed my view of the spiritual, because they explain it in a much more rational way which I also can relate to!

General Spiritual things is usually ended with "it's something you have to experience for yourself to believe." But this video really convinced me that there are things like telepathy, chakras etc. I hope it gives joy to you readers

Haha thanks but that was a table of contents rather than any summary. Though now that you posted that I realize it would be pointless to ask for a summary without referring to a specific chapter. So what's with this UFO that's supposed to appear tomorrow? Who says?

About the ufo thing..

I find it hard to believe myself, astral information have been wrong so many times... Yes astral projection (percieving the real through a different frequency than the physical) have been proved to me and I am thankful for that. So that is why I would trust my astral projection mentor, because he have proved the impossible to me before.

This person told me on Skype that I should look up into the sky tomorrow because there was going to a world wide UFO thing going on. And by UFO he mean aliens, but don't worry if this happens he doesn't mean aliens like from the alien movie, predators or screaming mars attack terrestrials that lies about "coming in peace" ACK ACK ACK ACK ACK ACK!
He means higher conscious beings that wants to help the human race to get back to the level of consciousness we once were. These aliens have such a high understanding of dimensions that they wont be shot down either because they can just jump from one dimension to another, basically astral project their whole ship. I don't know what the purpose of their visit would be, but my guess would be to open up the humans for the change that awaits us.

The problem lies in science perspective of the "new age". Religions all over the world are correct but also wrong at the same time, they make gods sound like an indivdual and the people they describe having powers like Jesus, Moses, Zeus are actually just beings with a higher consciousness than us humans. God exist and it's the good source that everything from this physical world branches from, just check out some sacred geometry, for example Leondaro Davinci's drawing of the man with a circle that's circling the square or the square that's squaring the circle. This is a drawing on our level of consciousness. The next level of consciousness that is believed to be our shift in December 12 - 2012 is called the Consciousness of Christ. And that is the next level of our evolution of consciousness. Now who's pumped for December?

Anotehr funny thing you can try, it doesn't prove anything but it's funny to see the signs of sacred geometry that works as a blueprint to all of the physical world's creation: Meassure the lenght from the tip of your nose to the tip of your chin, I promise you it will be exactly 7,5 cm.

Anyway the problem I talked about is that every juicy valuble part of the spirituality that now counts as superstitious like for example astral projection, intuition, telepathy is tabu to talk about in science. But the irony is that science proves the existence of them. For example: Just look up noetics that explains how our thoughts manifests just by thinking, it's really cool! And basically is proving the law of attraction.

This is why I rationally and relieved actually can believe in the very thing I used to call new age crap... xD

I even managed to make my mom and dad believe by showing the 5 minutes of sacred geometry. And they used to hate new age now they embrace it!

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it...So now I am going to listen to: The Immersion album by Pendulum, it reminds me very much of the forgotten Atlantis =)

I am Pumped to see... So many disappointed new agers. I wonder how many will actually commit suicide when they are still here on that day?

Here are some major problems with the 2012 Ascension theory.

1. Everything concerning 2012 ascencion begins and ends with Channelled information. Channelled information has always been an extremely unreliable source for predictions. Remember October 15th a number of years ago? Or even earlier David Wilckock, who is currently promoting 2012 ascension predictions, had failed to predict ascension before back before 2000, which was originally supposed to be the ascension date.

2. Channelled information Always spout psuedo science. Science which, is not actual science, and fails to hold up against anything resembling reality at all? The Earth is not going to line up with the center of the galaxy.. that even't is still 30 million years away, The only thing that will happen on dec. 21st 2012 is the precession of the equinox which will make the sun appear to rise in galactic center. This is only a VISUAL EFFECT, based on the strange wobble of the earth, so the earth or sun doesn't align with anything.. it's just a visual effect. There also is no Photon belt, or planet X, or Anything else that that the earth is lining up with or passing through on that date. Also There is no planetary alignment happening at all.

So unfortunately no ascension will ever happen on that date. This is nothing new. the beginnings of the 7th day adventists saw the same failure of predictions when they were mislead to believe that the rapture would happen back in the 1900's. We've also seen a more recent false rapture scare. No Aliens landed on october 15th and on and on.

The only thing I am interested in seeing is seeing this disappointment on such a MASSIVE SCALE. I mean this massive deception has never before on earth had so many followers before.

So yeah... Don't get your hopes up.

I'm not a fan of spirit science, too much of it that I've seen has either been over-simplified to the point statements could no longer be deemed even close to accurate, unverifiable, or just completely wrong (like his description of what meditation is, where he leaves out mindfulness and just describes TM)

Meditation is just like lucidity probably something that one have to understand by experience. It's good to be skeptical because only then the belief can become knowledge, if it's get proven to you.
I might be a little over-enthustiastic when it comes to spirit science, but that's just because I can relate science and religion to it, I can also make associations to the old greek philosopher Plato and matematican Pythagora and artist and inventor Leonardo Da Vinci and understand what they understood. Plato for example talked about an old forgotten city that sunk to the bottom of the sea called Atlantis. And well even though if all this dooesn't turn out to not happen on the magic date, it still feels good to have a belief that is based on a rational explanation.

I am not trying to convert you, I am just trying bring joy to who ever feels it gives them joy. The way that person that sent me this video made me feel.

People have been talking about December 21, 2012 for way too long...it's time to "put up or shut up" in a matter of speaking. Just let whatever happens happen. I'm not going to expect anything to happen though, because I'm pretty sure a large population of this world is going to be super disappointed on that date when absolutely nothing happens. Unless it's terrorist attack or something manufactured by man. A lot of people actually expect the world to end then, and I think they will go crazy when it doesn't and they realize they actually have to keep living, and pay off their debts, etc. Grim reality.

It's not an end it's a new beggining. Time will tell exactly what that means. However the information this video is sharing is not really dependent on that date, December 21 - 2012 is probably just a bonus. A jackpot that the whole world is winning, either way you as an individual can still make positive changes in your life. Just lucid dreaming is a good step in that direction.

You don't have to convert me, I'm already interested in combining science with religion on many levels. I simply don't like the presentation of information Spirit Science uses because it lacks accuracy in its attempt to be concise and furthermore the author behind it appears to be a little ignorant regarding many facets of the studies he's explaining.

Aw ok again... Over simplifying is good because it goes straight to the point, the value of the journey. It doesn't mean it will be exactly like that.
For example if you see lucid dreaming documentaries, they don'y say that there are many obstacles of awareness along the way that one have to cross or that, sometimes reality checks doesn't work or Dream Journaling might feel exhausting at times. However the people who chose to continue and believe in the possibility of the impossible which also have been proven by many experiences like for example Shamanism and even the aborgines believed in lucid dreaming long before it was accepted science. These people will get the cookie of the jar (LOL I dunno any english expressions.)

I know this is not a fully valid argument, but you see my point?

I don't fully believe in everything Spiritscience say either, like for example crystals ever since I heard about new age I have always laughed to what logic it would be behind that...

But I have empirical evidence of astral projection and even met a guide, helper etc. My usertag "Neter Iapetos" is just a funny idea that the unknown person I met in my AP was a Neter.
I can of course not fully know or even believe that, but it's just a cool idea. Although astral projection or atleat shared telepathic connection is proved to me because my friend shared an experience with my AP mentor and I have explained that before in the forum so I wont write it here again.. =) It wont do anything to anyone else of course, but I just want to make sure that I don't fully sound like a crackpot and don't have any reasons to not believe.

Anyway it sounds like you are still open for something like this to be true, but also skeptical. Then we are on the same page and it's good to be both open and skeptical. I on the other hand might be too open, that is a regular habit of mine, but it have got me far in lucid dreaming so I guess it's good to something...

I just want to spread the love, because somehow I believe a beliefsystem can be very important to what the greek philosophers would call justice, today we would call it morality.

Just look how the Christian religion shaped the morality. And the message in spiritscience is to go towards even more love and to back up it with science (to convince people that love is scientifically the right path).

So either if this is not right or whatever it's still an important message.

Have you tried to view the sky with a infra-red camera? Just nighvision mode on a videocamera can do wonders! (I'll send you the best docuentary on the subject if I find it) I don't mean that the astral is infra-red xD But they might just use a simple frequency to "dissapear) as well.

You can of course never know until you have empirical evidence or mathematical exact or when that belifsystem is acceptered socially by the majority.

I mean how do you know Saturnus exist? Have you actually seen it? (I believe it is exists... but you get my point)

There are lots of stuff in the wold we just accept without really knowing! That the earth was round was superstiscious h*ll even Lucid dreaming was!
(Just because of that statement doesn't mean this is science and correct, I just want to let people open their minds just a little to such a possibility).

Ok I notice now that I am saying more than I needed to in post, but I just want to share how I feel!

Right now I am reading Moral Philosophy in a University. We discuss the problem of "WHY doing something morally to another person?"
If you do it because GOD said that if you cimmit a sin will be punished in hell, well then you do it because you are selfish. However if you do it because you want to think of the other person's wishes, emotions and situation then it's a moral and just action. But we still have some problem in imagining how we are supposed to do that all the time.
However if we view everything as a single consciousness, it's wrong to say but it's true, we all come from a single source, yes we are individuals with free will own thoughts and so on, so we are in control of our lives. But all awareness comes from spirit which also every single element in the physical existence originate from. To make the picture much more simple:

They have recentley found a coral that is one big being but it have small buds that grow out from the coral that is totally by themself, they are aware of themself and not the other buds and are a small being by themself, however all those buds are connected to the same coral. We are like this coral we are all from the same source and are ONE but we just doesn't feel like it because we are totally focused in ourselves at the moment. This is what I hopefully think will change in 21 December, if not ah well no biggy we are still changing to the better but we have to do something fast before we destroy ourselves. All people who have been out of body and seen their true self have realized this truth. Robert Monroe is the perfect example, he didn't beleived in AP or OBE but when he had one he immediatelly realized that he was like a ghost inside a physical body. Even though that the energy body he saw was just a self-created selfimage he could still be aware of places in the real physycail world and get it verified. We are awareness! Soul is another word for what I am trying to explain because this is what we should call the soul, however it might not even have a form because awareness is just * and perhaps not even that.

This explanation of Monroe's spontanious OBE is a relif for me though, because that means that one doesn't have to meditate Oom Oom all day in order to achieve this, it's much easier. Well.... easier but not easy xD

Lesson 17: Universal Geometry - How to find a solution or a connection to anything!

It's not all inaccurate but some of it is inaccurate and I think it's important to take the information with a grain of salt. Over-simplification is not good when one loses accuracy in the process of the simplifying. For a lot of the information, I feel like he states his opinion based on his research as fact when there are many differing conclusions.

So Spiritscience is a good tool to get your feet wet but if you're at all interested in subjects brought up you should do your own research.

I know and I absolutely agree with you Original Poster, but every strange experience I have been through have been a total pain, because I wanted to believe in such things but couldn't because I had no rational explanation, so I wold just think "Yeah it's cool but I need some valid reason to why I should believe". And my doubt was very much in the science, because I have always trusted science, but somehow my experiences was not accepted in the scientific research and even the soul was something superstiscious... So either I was crazy or science was wrong.

Now I know I was right in my decision to stay with science, because just beleive without reason isn't knowledge that's belief.

But since I was more on the science side it was a big dilema for me...

Then I see this video that explain all of my experiences WITH SCIENCE! It was such a relief...

I mean now lucid dreaming is scientifically and almost completley socially accepted, but just imagine being lonely about the knowledge of lucid dreaming, science say it is impossible because the brain does this and that, and then suddenly get the science to prove that you was absolutely right. That's how I feel right now! My goal is to learn as much as I can about astral projection and then try to atleast get MORE people in the world to consider the possibility.
