Is this weird or does everyone experience it???

Every time I set the alarm on my phone to go off at 4:30 for WBTB, I always (well, not always, 9/10 times) wake up at 2:30 am, but if I don't set my alarm, I don't wake up at all during the night. Does this happen to anyone else, is it normal?

Actually, now I'm quite glad for it because it means I can attempt WILDing at 2:30 rather than the usual WBTB at 4:30 because my alarm just repeats over and over, so I have to reach to turn it off lol

Anyways, this happen to anyone else???

That is weird. You probably have a natural awakening around 2:30. When you set your alarm, you are anticipating waking up, so you notice your natural awakening.

Yes this has happened to me many times. I think that because your expecting the alarm to go off that your body just wakes itself up.

yes this happens to me. When I try and can-wild I always wake up before the alarm and I did and experiment if I set the alarm during the day, and I dont look at it before I go to bed, then I wont wake up before my alarm. I think your like me, my mind sets its own natural alarm.

Your body doesn't like to be abruptly awakened. Once you are woken up by a set time every morning, you'll eventually wake up earlier and earlier. It happens to me too; I set my alarm clock for 6:45 at the beginning of school. A few days into the week, I was waking up at 6:15.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I set my alarm for 5:30 and wake up at 4 AM. EVERY GOD DAMN DAY. I think its because I hate being woken up b the alarm. I just hate hearing it in general, no matter what song I use I quickly start hating it.

Hmm, I don't set my alarm clock but when I think, "Hopefully I'll wake up before 7:00 am" I wake up in 6:00 am and during the weekends I sleep late even though I always wake up at 6:00 am on week days.

This happened to me this morning. Over the weekend I slept in both mornings until about 8 or 9. I forgot to set my alarm this morning (monday), but woke up exactly on time anyways. 6:45 exactly.
