      Smile Noob with questions (:

Hello, my name is Josh and my friend recently told me of lucid dreaming. i researched it and came across this site, and had some questions.

How can you improve dream recall?

Is a lucid dream like virtual reality?

Whats possible in a lucid dream?

      thank you

For your first question a dream journal helps with dream recall. At least it did for me.
For your third question I would say everything is possible in a lucid dream. I have only had one lucid dream so I am not all that sure what is possible. Oh and welcome to dreamviews!

REM or (rapid eye movment) is the period of sleep in which dreams take place. Its best to write down your dreams as soon as you wake up. You may feel like you will remember them later but memory of dreams are temporary forgoten easily unless if you don't write it down or have a way to remember it. If you wake up while still in REM it is easier to remember the dream than if you woke up between REM periods.

A dream journal helped definitely helped my recall. Just try to write down dreams as soon as you remember them, preferrably right when you awake from them.

Anything and everything is possible in a lucid dream. You're only limited by your imagination!

For sure start a dream journal, and lucid dreaming is like the matrix and anything is possible it all depends on your imagination.

      Like everyone said:

      - Keeping a dream journal.
-Yeah like virtual reality (although I haven't had lucid myself, good one but yeah, virtual reality, just better).
      - And everything is possible. Sky is no longer a limit, you can fly, you can create, you can destroy. And stuff. Anything.
      Lucid dreaming goals:

Fly( ) Tame a recurring wolf that has been in about 10 different dreams/nightmares ( ) Fly on a Night Fury from HTTYD ( ) Ask my subconscious why I have so many nightmares ( )
Fight agent Smith ( ) Ride a huge spider to a battle against a beenest ( ) Face all of my nightmare creatures and beat them ( ) Be a god ( )

I would say lucid dreams are less comparable to virtual reality and more comparable to normal waking reality.
