That is the point as I understand this, you have no sense for logic in a dream, your dad being a yello alien monster is perfectly normal when dreaming. The actual thing is to be critical to your environment in waking life, performing reality checks on repetative actions and hope you condition yourself to adedept to this in a dream. This will activate your sense of logic and make you realize you are dreaming.

Here are some nice dreams I remembered since some months ago (Sorry for gramm fail I gonna typ this fast)

Was in my neighboorhood but it rained and somebody with a car drived to me and say step-in I'll take you to your home when I was in the car he drove a other way where my house is so I said WTF are you doing then he changed into a zombie then I opened the car door and jumped out then I run run run but it was verry slow the zombie followed me and then I had a knife and knifed him about 10 times then he still didn't die... so was close to my home my mother was calling " Kevin come to home we're gonna have dinner"

Then dream changed to same place but then a plane crached into my city
