Being woken up by someone while lucid dreaming?

I have not had a lucid dream yet, but there is one question I'm wondering about.

If you enter a lucid dream with the WILD method, and you are doing whatever in the dream and enjoying yourself, then all of the sudden one of your parents comes in the room and wakes you up, how does this feel?

I just can't imagine it because from what I have heard lucid dreams can be very vivid and realistic. So if you are woken up from a dream, you go from a very realistic dream to reality itself. Wouldn't this really mix your brain up and confuse it?

I'm having a hard time putting this question into words, but that is the best I could do. Maybe I'm making a big deal out of nothing.

Nah, you would be mixed yes, between awe from the dream and anger with your parents though lol
But, it feels to me, like being pushed from some place then thrown into another, like thrown into water, going down, reaching a certain distance and then floating back up, just to find yourself in a whole different area.

The feeling sucks (I'll usually scream though-some on purpose)
Its like pulling you from dream to reality. And I hate it most when my image shatter because of it.
      Arh~that'll cause headaches for me.

My cat usually wakes me up few times in the morning. One particular time she woke me up from lucid dream - that was the last one and haven't had another LD after that. Evil little creature X)

I don't think it would be too bad, because when you wake up you don't usualy instantly open your eyes (I think) and they would have to adjust to the light, so the change wouldn't be instant. But then you could ask wether LD's where you normaly wake up could mess with your brain. They probably can. If your overall awareness low. Besides, you'd probably remember the dream better.

I have actually woke up instantly and opened my eyes because the light was turned on. I wasn't Lucid or anything though.
Let your sub-conscious take over in your dreams until you one day may have the ability to take the wheel!

There is not that much light to adjust to in the morning, unless someone opened the curtains or switched the light
BTW, that time when my cat woke me up from LD, I didn't write it down straight away, I thought I'll be able to recall it in the morning. "How can I possibly forget something when I was lucid..."
Half of the dream just been erased. Never do that again, dumbhead!!!

Argg I hate when I get woken up. It's not a big deal though getting ripped out a dream, you usually realize what just happened after a few seconds.

To me it's not very different from waking up from a regular dream. In the one I had, I could feel a few times when I was losing the dream, and would do things to keep myself in it. But at one point I found myself just BOOM, awake, I was frustrated, thinking "No! What? I thought I had the dream under control!" Then I realized my alarm was going off. -__-

For me, you would just wake up normally but likely be extremely upset once you realized you were woken up from a lucid dream. This is one reason why I think ear plugs are important and you need to warn others not to disturb your sleep so you can lucid in peace. You will likely realize as you are lucid that you are losing lucidity and awakening into the real world again so there wouldn't be any dramatic feeling of anything kind, more a disappointment as you realize you are now awake! -Chase

Most of the time if I'm being woken up from a lucid dream I already know why. If someone was being too loud or whatever I can hear them while I'm dreaming. And yes, I'm frustrated with them ARGH. As for the confusion upon waking question, I can't remember waking up from a lucid dream like that, I always fade out, through hypnopompia.

Aaaaa! I just have been woken up by the phone call...As a result I almost forgot the half of the lucid! It was so long and great.
And yeah, that's actually a funny feeling - in lucid I was at the point when I wanted to try door technique for summoning person, next thing I know - I have to talk on the phone in the way as if I've woken up hours ago X)
