My best advice is to stick to ONE method for at least a couple of months. You can add other methods on top, but have at least one method that you do consistently--every day.

Think of it like this. If you want to learn an instrument, and you switch from piano, to guitar to violin all in a short time, you never really give yourself enough time to practice any one of them enough to get anywhere with them. Lucid dreaming is just like music--while some people may have a lot of talent, for almost everyone else it's a skill that takes practice. So just hang in there. Pick a method that you know you can realistically do on a daily basis (unless it's WILD, in which case for the sake of your sleep needs you can practice it 2-3 days a week on the weekends).

I second what Naiya said. What you might want to do in the beginning is to try them all out to see which one suits you the best. If you get all the way to SP and perhaps even further, then WILD seems to be a technique you're naturally good at. It's all about choosing a technique that suits you as a person and fits into your lifestyle. You don't want to sacrifice sleep or real life quality time to try to dream.

Don't give up! Staying motivated sure can seem like a hazzle when you're not seeing much progress, but trust us, you'll get one eventually as long as you keep at it.

Watch movies, read books, other people's DJ entries and daydream. I also suggest you pay attention to your non-lucid dreams and appreciate them for what they are: amazing adventures that goes on in your head.

Good luck and keep on dreaming!
