Yes!

I haven't met anyone so far who has had this kind of uncomfortable experience as a child. I used to run really high fevers when I was a child, and quite often. Since I was a baby. It was due to this ear infection. It seemed to disappear though, I haven't really had any dreams like it since.

I can't say it had anything to do with a clay or rubber like matter, but the feeling, I assure you was most likely the same exact thing.

I remember two dreams in particular. One happened when I was sometime below ten years old. I had been running a fever and my parents went out to get some food from Sonic Drive In. They were bringing me back a cherry slush. Both times it had to do with sonic, strangely.

While they were out I had fallen asleep on the couch and I had a dream where I was riding my bike down the sidewalk at Sonic. I don't know if you're familiar with Sonic Drive In. Not all states in America have it. I don't know if you're even from here, but anyway, it's a drive in, so there are lots and cars park in stalls, right? I'm riding down the side of the building and the sidewalk is nice and smooth. It feels right, you know. Then suddenly the sidewalk becomes all distorted and rough. The bike is now shaking and rattling and I wake up crying and sweating something fierce. I feel really upset afterwards.

The second time was after we had moved into our new trailer. I was sleeping on the couch again, I was probably 11 or 12. Around the same time I had my first lucid dream. I was again, running a high fever and I had my foam sonic cup sitting on the coffee table next to me, but the coffee table was like water. It was all nice and smooth at first and peaceful. Then suddenly it was disturbed by something and a bunch of ripples came, wildly disturbing the cup. Again, I woke up crying and was so upset.

The feelings those dreams gave me was something I really haven't felt much since. It's like things got so chaotic and out of control, like I wanted to have a mental breakdown. It's just inexplainable, really. But I think our dreams are along those same lines.

I don't think it means anything in particular. Depending on the personality of the child, I think all children have different types of disturbing fever dreams. My fiancee used to have dreams when he was running a fever, but his were from delirious hallucinations. He's not even sure if he was actually asleep.

Those are really the only two I remember. I'm not totally sure if I had them more than those experiences. I remember a lot of my dreams from when I was a child and mostly those crazy ones, so I figure I'd remember if I had more.

Anyway, welcome to the forums! Feel free to PM me further if you want to discuss, but I've told you everything, I think. I know our dreams weren't exactly the same, but I feel like I understand exactly the feeling you are talking about. The erratic movement of the line and how uncomfortable you felt.
