Thumbs up It says to do my introductions here so...

      ...wassup people!
I am kinda buzzing from my drop into Lucidity but will try to be calm enough to post rationally...
      pffft who am I kidding
I am currently one week and three days into my LD journey, and so far am loving it!
I have reached a head crushing Sle-Par and been thrown out of a 5 metre wide heli copter
      But any way...
I am 19 and make safes for a living.
Most of my dreams are from third person or feel like a movie and any advice to becoming "inbody" from a MILD WILD MABA would be great
(staying awake while entering SP If I used the wrong terms)
None the less off to bed for me and I will get back tomorrow
Also is this to many smiles?

Welcome to Dream Views! You can use smiles as long as you are not being obnoxious or insulting. This thread looks fine as far as smiles. Some people put the same smile 12 times in a row to insult someone, and that is not good. Here are a couple links that may help.

My "method" and I use that term loosely, is watching a subliminal video (with an awesome soundtrack)
Then I go to bed and chant "my mind is awake, my body is asleep, I am in a lucid dream" in my internal monologue.
I then try to enter sleep paralysis by relaxing everything then willing my limbs to go to sleep. I found out how by accident but I am grateful that I did.
The reason I use method loosely is because my mind trails off VERY quickly to do other things.
Also I am only one and a half weeks into this so I doubt I have tried everything

Any way, thanks for the warm welcome.

One question I do have is : what is astral travel? Is it the same as OBExploration's?

That is a good question...for Sivason. He has more experience with that arena.

If he doesn't respond click on his name and send him a PM.

He also has a great counting technique for awareness when going to sleep.

If you have questions about astral travel and OBE, check out the Beyond Dreaming forum. People over there might be able to explain the difference. Personally, I have never seen the difference between OBE and WILD.

Be sure to check out the sub-forum beyond-dreaming! It is a fun section for talking about anything odd and mystical. You will find many threads there about it. I would put it like this OBE is a generic term like UFO. It describes any experience, real or not in which you feel as if you are out of your body. AP is astral projection. Most people will only consider an OBE to be astral if you feel as if you have left the real world and entered some state of existence beyond our understanding. I have lucid dreams in which I go to an astral world that has its own physical laws and is nothing like the waking world, so that would be AP. I also have meditation states where I am not in a body or experiencing any normal stimuli like touch or sight, so that would be AP.
If the experience feels as if you are still in this world, but out of your body it is not AP. Like I said check out beyond-dreaming, it is very fun.

Here is a link to one of my DJ entries that involves the kind of AP that takes place in another world type setting, 02-19-12 First Astral City experience in this journal. - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

The state in a WILD before you form a dream body and after you loose your own body would be an OBE, so would the WILD itself if it takes part in 3rd person.

Ok I will check out the BD forum later...

I always thought of OBE's being your mind-consciousness leaving your body in the real world.
I.E. What you see is really happening. If you see your bro down stairs then wake up and walk down stairs he is there.

So AP is just another type of dream...
I got the impression that it was a totally different thing. Like an OBE:sad:

No. I am not saying it is not real. It may or may not be, but in my opinion my experiences are real mystical experiences, but I can not prove it. AP counts as an OBE as anything you experience that seems to be out of body, counts as OBE. OBE is just a blanket term. I fully believe that all sorts of mystical things are real.

      Oh-kely-doh-kely

      I didn't realise it was a blanket term. . .
