      Wink Greetings fellow dream enthusiasts!

I am new to all of this with the exception of a couple accidental LDs and one OBE that I haven't been able to replicate since. I am hoping to learn a lot from you pros out there and hoping that this forum will keep me motivated. With one success in a month of experimenting, and the exhaustion from the nightly attempts at WILDing, I am on the verge of calling it quits, but I came across this site and figured I would stick it out just a while longer.

      Cheers

      Welcome to the forums!

WILDing can indeed be exhausting, and if you feel it's not working after a month's attempts, you may want to try another technique. That's not to say abandon WILDs, but if they're not being good to you, it can't hurt to look around. The most common induction methods can be found here.

I highly suggest you stick it out. Lucid dreaming is an amazing thing to experience and as you get more experienced they only get better . If you have any questions feel free to ask!

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Some methods may take a few weeks to start working. We are trying something completely new, afterall.

Check out our tutorials. They are basic, simple, and should give you good results. If I may, I would recommend to start with DILD. Ask if you have any questions. Happy dreams.

Thanks, I am reading one of Steven La'B's books now at the suggestion of another forum member and he recommends the same thing, saying that WILDs are more difficult when you are starting out. I have a months worth of dream journals and dream recall has never been an issue for me so it is time to start documenting some dream signs and doing some more consistent reality checks from what I am reading. One of the first points Steven makes is that pushing yourself too hard can be counter productive and actually lead to failure rather than success. I think that is where I have been going wrong. My very first shot, very first night, I had insane vibrations, paralysis, 6 false awakenings and an out of body experience. It was probably in the top 10 most unbelievable events of my life. I have been chasing that high ever since without luck. I guess that is why it is called beginners luck. If I could make that a consistent occurrence, life would never be the same you know?
