Hello, Dream View community! I have been working on achieving a high quantity of lucid dreams since November 28, and so far I have two lucid dreams in December (or three since exactly the day that I start working on lucid dreaming in November 28, I became aware in one of my dreams but did not have at the time the tools to retain lucidity

). The reason why I want to work on lucidity is that as a child I have a positive relationship with dreaming; I love recalling fun and comedic dreams during my childhood. However, I stop remembering dreams during middle school around 2010. Seven years later, I am resolved to obtain my nostalgic relationship with dreams.

As a person, I am a student working for a psychology and statistics major. I believe that my passion for psychology promotes my interest to lucidity as both come together in a package, not to mention my fondness for dreams. When I am not studying, I do fencing at my free time. Fun fact: I believe fencing helps me with lucidity as fencing requires discipline, or as Stephen LaBerge called it "will development", and working with lucidity is no exception. Being aware of one's body position is also important in fencing, and breathing meditations that help with lucidity come to me with ease as I need to be aware of my body for both fencing and meditation.

Remember that as a member of DV you have your very own dream journal section which others can view. Writing down your dreams as soon as you wake up is super important if dream recall is poor.

Fantastic that you're into psychology. And fencing, definitely cool and I can totally see how it would help train for lucidity!

Thank you for the information about the dream journal! I currently have a dream journal in my Google Drive so I can modify sections whenever I need to, but I will use the dream journal in Dreamview, too!

I am glad you are posting on here. Involvement in this forum is an important tool. Not because we can share information with you, but because it involves many parts of your brain in focusing on lucid dreams. Excitement about the subject and taking part in discussions about LDs has a big impact on reaching lucidity. It is actually very impressive for you to have had 3 LDs in so short a period so soon after deciding to focus on it.

I have to admit, I learn a lot of the nuances with lucidity within two days of being in the Dreamview community that I have to reorganize my dream diary (for lucidity records and notes) to maintain the loadout about lucidity! It is a good thing that I keep my dream diary in Google Drive so I can adjust it whenever I need to.

I am also surprised that I am one of the few fortunate people who can recall dreams (and have a few lucid dreams on the way) the instant they want to work on lucidity. That said, this is no excuse to slack off and I have been researching and meditating ever since to achieve better lucidity.

Welcome, Neo! Glad you found your way here! This place is definitely THE online resource for getting better at attaining and enjoying the maximum benefits of Lucid Dreaming. Check out all of the different sections, there are so many awesome places around here. Welcome again, and feel free to ask anyone around here anything at anytime! I found DV around high school/college due to my interest in psychology and sleep study as well! Great minds think alike it seems lol.

In-group bias for anyone who are in psychology activated. One of the managers I work with lends me his copy of Stephen LaBerge's "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" because he knows that I am a psychology major, thus entailing interest to dreams. It has been a heuristic of mine that all psychology students should be intimate with dreams as for how mathematics students should be intimate with infinities.
