      It's been awhile...

      So, hello!

I'm a user from way back in the old days, apparently I joined in 2009. I didn't post a ton, but I used to read these forums religiously in high-school and eventually stopped keeping up with it once I got to the point where I was having lucid dreams semi-regularly. Unfortunately, those days have passed! I haven't had a lucid dream in a few years and recently have found myself wanting to have them again. So like anyone, I think I ought to start from the beginning. And it's been so long, I figured why not introduce myself again.

So, I'm Lifeinsteps! I first started my dream journey as apparently a 10th grader in high-school (though I think I read the forums for awhile before I ever made an account), and now I'm 25 and almost done with college and have made my way back again. I hope to learn some new stuff that people have come up with in the past 10 years!

It's nice to meet everyone! Or will be, once you see this thread.

it's important to stay aware of your surroundings in both Dreaming and waking life, or you will miss the strange but, amazing things that happen around you. Like this:

Thanks Lang! Gonna inaugurate my first day back at Dreamviews by drinking some water, waking up in the middle of the night, and going for a WILD!

Gonna try to get into using the DV dream journal as a daily habit too. Even when I was getting lucid dreams I was too lazy to journal as a teenager...

Thanks for the encouragement monsa! I've had a few dips back in the pool of lucid dreaming, but it's been awhile since I've been quite as excited about the idea as I've felt the last couple days.

My main goal right now is to get that WILD! I love the feeling of passing into sleep while conscious, and can't wait to do it again! I'll take any lucid dreams my brain will give me, but I want that WILD!

Looking forward to the Tasks of July so I can try some monthly tasks for the first time ever!

Welcome lineinsteps! I've just come back from a hiatus like you and monsa199a. I joined the forum in January and stopped practicing near the end of february. Now I'm back and ready to explore further with you! Good luck in your efforts!
"Lucid dreaming makes us kinder in everyday life. It shows us how our mind creates illusion, which allows us to see how other people's mind do the same. Once we see that, we realize that everybody is trying their best and that we're all in this together. We become a bit more tolerant and responsive, rather than closed and reactive."-Charlie Morley, Author of 'Dreams of Awakening: Lucid Dreaming and Mindfulness of Dream & Sleep'

Yes. I just joined a group, and so far experiences have been amazing.

I agree, also. There are no coincidences, and every choice that we make, at least every choice that feels right, we've already made. We just have to figure out why? (having a matrix moment)....

      OOOooohhh!!! Very interesting!

Is the group on this forum? I'd love to read some of the experiences you have shared if they are in writing somewhere near.

And perhaps I could join you when my dreaming abilities have sharpened a bit more

Absolutely!, I'm not familiar with shared dreaming...But I got to say my dream recall has increased exponentially since I joined and committed to lucid dream, awakening to a whole new reality!!!
We've already taken the first step, and that is to be here...

Will do! I feel we're on track to the blissful path, like I always say " take and practice what enriches your soul", and let the rest flow...
