I think it's fine to take vacation by yourself. You're more likely to be pleased with your choices.

You might meet people there who you can go around places with, or just meet people at each place you go to.
You don't have to be fully alone, and girls generally like foreigners in any country

EDIT: Appearantly, all the PD Days and Early Release Days are cancelled as well. AND since the teachers are given significantly less time to mark the final exams, the english exams - instead of being essays (which I am really good at) - are now multiple choice questions.

Man, rekindling a once passionate flame is really hard as hell....like REALLY hard, because every moment I try, it keeps getting extinguished, even for the few hobbies that I really enjoy (which are only two anyway).

I survived the first day of the reunion. It's my hubby's 50th. I guess they have it every 5 years. I went to the last one too.
I was bored out of my mind a few times when hubby abandoned me to speak with someone. But I went outside near a bonfire and smoked The place it's held is WAY too echo-y for me.
Everyone was nice but I'm exhausted. I forgot how tiring mingling can be lol

Tomorrow is the formal night and someone enlisted hubby to help with the mikes (or is that mics?) I'm going to try to get out of it, but it's not likely to happen.

I know people are just trying to be nice, but for some reason it gets on my nerves when people say stuff like "You found yourself a keeper" or "She's a real sweetheart". What the heck. They've talked to me for all of 5 minutes. I could be a serial killer for all anyone knows

As for traveling and vacations... I would love to go somewhere alone. It depends on your "scene". Are you into nightclubs and partying? Going alone wouldn't be as fun methinks. But then again, I think people who are into that are natural minglers and would have fun with whomever they met.
I'd like to go somewhere I could hike and camp. I like cultural things, but not as much. I'd be off by myself enjoying the scenery.

My friend who's also my neighbour was on TV last night ;o. He was performing in a show called 'Belgiums got talent'. He's officially famous now xD. He's the one with the black hair btw

My rant is that I'm finally back to "normal"... always exhausted, no matter how much sleep I get. And I've been getting a lot lol. I also missed an opportunity to LD last night. I dreamed I gave birth to 3 babies 1 month apart from the other. One of the babies was black I laughed and told people I had no idea how any of it happened- that labor didn't work that way. I told someone I should do a reality check but then they distracted me by talking about recessive and dominant genes
Then I was in a large house and people outside were throwing things at the windows and shattering glass everywhere. I put the babies some place safe and then I forgot where they were.
After the attack was over, I walked someone outside and a cop heard I had lost the babies. He insisted on coming inside and looking with me. I was worried about what we would find and about how much trouble I was going to be in.

I tossed and turned all night. My hips ached and I couldn't get comfortable for anything. I got 9 hours of sleep but I've still been falling asleep as I type this
And my son is insisting I leave to get him some food because we're all out. But I think I'm broke so he's out of luck until tomorrow.
I bought a large bag of chips at the beginning of the week when I shopped last. I still have 1/2 left. My son doesn't understand how, but I tell him I make my food stretch. I don't scarf everything down at one time unlike him.

My Current Rant is that last night I got some dank (high quality weed) and just took two or three hits not expecting to get that high because I had stuff to do but I ended up being completely out of it and had some pretty trippy moments including one very emotional scene with my dying cat, and four or so hours later I was just wondering why I was still so high as I hadn't smoked anymore, then I passed out in my bed earlier than I wanted to without getting anything done, facing the wrong way, not covered up, and with all the room lights and stuff still on, and then I slept for like twelve hours and had a bunch of crazy and vivid dreams, including one really psychedelic lucid, and then I woke up still feeling really baked.

My Upcoming Rant is that this magical dream-enhancing weed that lasts forever will, in fact, eventually run out.

My Anti-Rant is that right after I woke up this morning I smoked some more and hopped in the shower and then went on a walk through the forest and a bit of the creek, and it was beautiful outside.

I'm now ranting because of the actions of a stupid friend of the family. I wanted to get out of hubby's thing this evening, but not like this.
A girl I pretty much grew up was found dead this morning from an overdose So now I have to go be with the family.
Hubby doesn't understand why this takes priority because they're not officially related to me. But they're closer than cousins.
She babysat for my kids- her mom came to my wedding, I was close to all of her sisters.
This is heartbreaking...
She has 3 kids of her own now that she's left behind. One of them is still just a baby

Sometimes I read my old posts and I want to kill myself because they are so bad.

There's not a lot of answers at this point. They're not even sure she died of an overdose. But her purse and jewelry were missing and someone withdrew $300. from her bank (atm) after she died.
I felt pretty useless, but I was there, comforting everyone as best I could. And so were a lot of other people- friends and family both. The outpouring of support was amazing and inspirational.
But I'm glad to be home...

Don't feel useless, you did your absolute best. I'm sure your friend would be absolutely honoured that you did what you did. She'd only want you to be happy, do that for her!

Bought an extension plug for my mum because she said she needs it, and she told me not to forget about it so I assumed it is urgent. I went to a shop and got the first plug I saw (that looked the nicest) and when I returned home and showed her the plug, she was disappointed that it wasn't nice and small-looking.

She kept complaining about how I lacked the heart to help her with running an errand since I didn't comb several shops before buying one but I was out with my friend too. So I guess I need to go and find another extension cable for her tomorrow. To think that I got her the most expensive one with my own money.

I know it's doesn't amount much to a rant.

Carrot, I know it doesn't count but *I* appreciate what you did for your mom. You're a very devoted daughter. I just wish your mom appreciated your efforts instead of always tearing you down!

Tomorrow, I find out about the funeral arrangements... if my Tracfone manages to accept the time I bought for it I bought 60 minutes while I was out yesterday and the units still haven't been accepted. At first, nothing happened when I typed in the code. SInce last night though, I keep getting a message that the system is down and to try again later. WTH?

Other than that, I ranting about fatigue. I was in bed by 3AM and awake before noon. I slept terribly again. I tossed and turned and my legs ached terribly. I couldn't get comfortable for anything. And then the temperature plummeted and I froze. The dogs were in the main part of the house and they froze even more along with my son. He's going to have to move the living room soon. I can't believe how cold it's been getting!!
I also need to find or make some sort of shelter for the bunny. The bathroom floor gets very cold so I'm sure he's been miserable too.

I do admit I lacked the heart in finding that plug extension for her because I was with my friend so I didn't do a thorough job by going to other shops to compare the designs. By the time I randomly stumbled into another shop that sells it, I've already bought it. I'm just upset by the things she's saying.

You always seem to have issues with sleeping comfortably. I hope you can get some good rest soon.

@ Zhay, I'm so sorry about your family friend. It sounds like you stayed strong though, so as yuppie said, you have no reason to feel weak. You've already done more than you had to, and that says a lot.

My rant is that I've realized that I have a completely one-track mind. Completely. And I always have, for as far back as I can remember.

I guess you can't change who you are. Might as well embrace it.

Being a poker dealer is tough when some people don't even treat you as a human being. And you can't really do anything about it, especially if they're rich. I routinely get verbal abuse and I've even had chips thrown at me. I thought I had thick skin but it's starting to get me down, being treated like dirt for no reason. There's just no good in some people.

Also I haven't been on DV enough. You guys are awesome...

I "died" earlier. I laid down to take a brief nap before going to the grocery store and I was in lala land for 3 hours.
I had terrible dreams though. I dreamed of a large number of corrupt cops and about one female officer being forced into the trunk of an unmarked car though she was naked. I made a huge stink about their actions and said I would report all of them.
Then me and some guy were being pursued and a bunch of female officers standing guard duty had their throats slit. WTF? What messed up dreams!!
They were inspired in part by both an episode of Prison Break and then Covert Affairs. In Covert Affairs someone had their throat slit but in Prison Break it was just a threat. But I guess the visuals stayed with me and spawned that crazy dream!

Patrick. We've missed you! Sorry people can be such assholes!!

And now I go grocery shopping I'd rather not but the animals are also out of food now and hubby has a huge list of things for me to get as well. Blah...
