Post if you're happy or cheerful

I just kissed a girl for the first time in my life!

Obviously, I kissed the co-worker I have a crush on, the same one I made out with in last nights lucid. I had been recently having thoughts of kissing her so I figured this is something I should do, just to get it over with and get the thoughts out of my head. I would be thinking about it for weeks otherwise.

So, here's how it went down. During our shift together I upped my energy level a bit and helped her out a lot, my way of getting her to like me more. Also, during the shift as we were playfully interacting with my female manager (who I used to have a crush on) they both referred to my crush and I as buddies (placing us firmly in the friend zone, right where I want. I have a crush on her but I don't want a romantic relationship with her. It wouldn't work out, we're too different). However, as I playfully lamented how to my female manager how I only had two shifts with her while my crush had 6, my crush said to me, "Don't worry, Shawn. I still love you". With all this in mind, a kiss seemed fairly low risk. I could live with the worst that could happen.

At the end of our shift where my crush initials my checkout to verify I did my side work I sometimes give her a good bye hug. Tonight, though, for the first time ever, she gave me the hug. Confident as ever, I added a kiss on her head while we were hugging. It was a hairy kiss, but I felt kissing her on the head would be practical and safe as she's a foot shorter than me. She got excited and immediately went in to the kitchen to tell everybody while I stayed out front. I could hear my manager say "Don't get jealous", probably to the male co-worker who my crush is dating. I ventured in the back by the office to wait for my manager so we could do our final checkout. The male co-worker was staring at me, giving me a stank eye, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Afterwards, however, we bit each other a nice night as usual while doing the fist knocking thing we do. Also, there was nothing unusual about how my crush and I bit each other a nice night. So, I think all is still normal and I made it through perfectly unscathed. Whew.

It was fun! I'm so glad I got the first one out of the way! A little courage and risk assessment is all it took.

Wait a second... you kissed her on the head? Was this after the kiss, or was that the kiss? Because I don't think kissing someone on the head counts as a first kiss. :/ Plus the whole thing seems kinda weird. Especially that she has a boyfriend and you don't seem to think there's anything wrong with making a move on her. And you think the guy is overreacting, but seeing his girlfriend kiss someone else is a legitimate reason for him to be concerned.

Yes, that was the kiss, right on the head. It counts for me! I've been so antisocial my entire life that this was a big deal for me.

I never said the guy was overreacting, I understand that. I don't think he sees me as much of a threat though because he's able to see her a lot more than more than me and he's so confident/stuck on himself that he probably thinks I'm insignificant anyway compared to him. He might have been a bit jealous but I think it will pass fairly quickly if it hasn't already. I don't see my crush again for 6 days and he'll probably work with her at least 3 of those days. It'll work out.

I get a call from my dad and I'm happy for awhile, and I reaffirm my confidence and my motivation, I don't know how it works, but it does. Only wishes are to go up there and just talk with him.

I cannot explain what has just happened. Holy fuck. I can't believe this, I can barely even feel the excitement because this doesn't feel real. I've been accepted into the university I applied to, bachelor of science in CS degree. I was rejected when I applied, but I submitted the good grades I got from the last couple classes I took, very late, about a month before classes start, thinking there was no way I'd get in. I've even already signed up for classes at college and have been assuming I was going there.

But I did get in, just found out like 10 minutes ago. I thought I was dreaming at first, or reading it wrong, there was no way it could have been true, but it was..... I'm not even feeling that happy, I'm more just... . shocked. So fucking shocked. THis is amazing. My major stress lately has been that I'm so behind in my studies, now I'll be a year ahead of what I thought.

I've gotten stuff done today, it's Friday and I'm going to drink soon, which I haven't really done in a week.

I was walking on a trail that I walk on every day an hour ago and someone had written "Fish" in big letters in the rocks with their foot or something. For some reason I felt cheeky (no one was around) and changed it to "Fishy =)" with the smiley face. I found amusement almost the whole way home just imagining the person coming back and seeing the change. I'm not sure if that would be funny to anyone but me though.

I had a very nice day today!

I don't have class on Fridays, so I got to sleep in a little. Then, I met a friend of mine, we saw The Bling Ring. We also agreed to go out next weekend, we're taking my dog to the park.

I came back home and had a very relaxing afternoon/evening. Oh, and I'm almost done rewatching the first season of Community.

Well, feeling calm inside and not stressed tends to boarder with being happy/cheerful to me since i make a statement to always smile, regardless of how i'm feeling inside. So yeah.

This month: I broke up with my insane girlfriend, I'm really excited about starting school again (and I've paid off most of my debts) and I've started a new job which I absolutely love. I haven't been stressed or have had panic attacks in a couple weeks. I feel like my life has dramatically improved in so many ways in such a short time. For the first time in a long time, I can honestly say I'm happy.

Also I've started playing video games again for the first time in a while. I'm currently playing FF6 for the first time in like 10 years its terrific!

My life is finally heading where I want. I have a good home life, I met the absolute best friend I could ever want or ask for, I am set on graduate school, and I am picking up contract work. Though I have been unemployed for nearly 2 months now, I am still pretty optimistic and happy. I am fretting grad school may fall through, but if it does, I can continue to do my thing.

Since there's not a version of Siri in Brazilian Portuguese, I chose the British English one and it's a guy... I'm pretty sure the American English Siri is a woman.

Oh, and I asked him to marry me and he said we should just be friends.
