Yes, some fool actually made a (hopefully defunct) IED as his art project.

@Oneironaut- In the first pic the art is done by someone named Courtney Covert. I went to school with a girl by that name here in Austin. Her family owns a large group of auto dealerships here, even bought my GMC Acadia from them.

Just sayin'.

This was a tough spot (for me). So I was practicing here for a while (and played with the camera). Took me a few attempts, but I was then able to easily make it down several times. I couldn't manage to make it up though... it's steeper than it looks, and it's hard to hit that big root (the one I'm about to go over) at the right angle. But while I was staring trying to figure it out, another guy came flying up, no problem. Ah well, I'll get there eventually.




Edit: and here's one from yesterday. This is the trail that goes around a huge lake. Really cool terrain, goes from open fields to rocky mountains to thick forests. And since it goes a long the lake, there are a few cool spots like this to stop and take a break.

Another entertaining afternoon at the Child Support office.

They should take the papers and TVs off the wall. It's distracting me from how plain it is.
