If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
Well, this it the DVD I have. It's also where I ordered my didge from. |

That's them. Columbus, OH has one of the bigger juried arts fairs in the country, and they had a booth there one year when I was living down there. The agave ones were the cheapest non-tiny didges, and yes are kind of cool in concept being from this continent and all, but they're not 'real' didges insofar as they weren't hollowed by ants, but by a hippie with a sharp stick. The sound is more reedy than most didges and it takes quite a bit of warming up, but once you get there it can produce a decent tone. |

My word for those days is "the present". Except for the driving around part (What's wrong with you?) Happy mixing Dark. |

Lol, you just made it soooo easy for me. I imagined in my head this inflection: "Well MY didgeridoo is authentic," as if you were a huge snob. Then the thought of a didgeridoo snob cracked me up. Also, I've been keeping my mouth shut about this whole didgeridoo thing for far too long XD |
|
The agave didge is actually anti-authentic, insofar as it's not from Australia and was hollowed out by humans rather than ants, and was produced by a white guy with unkempt hair. I'm recently coming to a new appreciation of the ease of cultural appropriation when you're 'default race.' Still, no PVC trees were murdered. |

Mmmmmmm... well what does that make me then? I have a cheap-ass PVC didge that I can't even play. Guess I'm a didgeridufus. |
|
Authenticity is by definition inartful. in the moment authenticity is pursued, it is lost. |

Supposedly, my didgeridoo is eucalyptus wood from Australia. Supposedly. |
