This was last week. That's not snow. It's all sleet!

Even as much as I f'cking detest cold weather, that snow sure is beautiful.

It's been a little while since I posted any pictures. Here's a video I recently made with pictures from some of the places my friends and I like to hike and kayak.

Today we got together and spent over 4 hours planning some of the upcoming trips for this year. So much to look forward to.

really heavy snow is a pain to shovel but it's a damn good workout

The other night I got to walk through virgin snow - about a foot of it, covering the entire street! It instantly brought me back to my paper route days, when I had to leave at like 5:30 am and was often the first to walk through it. Made me feel like a kid again! Also had fun driving on the sleet/snow/freezing rain sandwich we got a few nights ago that shut down much of the world around here. Was fun being one of the few vehicles on the road - mostly I just saw snowplows and a truck or two, and ended up sliding sideways a good deal. Just kept it at around 20 mph or so and everything was fine.

Lol I live on a little dead end street with only 2 houses on it, so the snowplows don't do my street - in fact they go past and pile a huge wall of snow at the entrance of it which is up a little hill to begin with, so it wasn't easy getting out!! Had to hit it with some momentum and smash my way through. That part was probably the most fun.

I've just finished jury duty, so I've not been able to post pictures of what I've been doing given restrictions in the uk about filming in courtrooms.

But today I was released! and I'm now free.
Rather than go back to work immediately I decided I would try and hone my awful Japanese understanding abilities. I mean seriously what an absurdly cryptic language.

Just these sentences alone took me nearly an hour.
First you learn the words spoken, Then you learn the hiragana, then you have to learn the Kanji, then you have to recognise them in the insane punctuation the Japanese use. Dakuten's especally kept tripping me up aswell as the lack of spaces in Japanese text.

THEN THEN if you understood and decrypted all of that you still have to deal with an metaphorical language to figure out the meaning. ie (The White-Confessional) Means (A Love confession) Which is what you see in my notes. "To Shoot the topic" Ie "To have an interview." ARGH!!!

So here are two pics of my brand new bow I'm really excited about it. I got a trigger release too, but accidentally got the junior one instead of the adult one. As small as I am, it doesn't fit my hand.

And the draw weight, it's set to *drumroll* a pathetic 21 lbs. The normal draw weight range for women my size is 25-35 lbs, and 40-60 is recommended for deer. Going to have to work on that, I think just shooting will help a ton. I'm very happy!

Oh wow another person who dose archery, I myself use Recurves I also don't hunt just field in my case.

Yes it will help with draw weight it's not just strength either it's technique, my bow is a 30ibs draw and it feels too light for me now that I've been practising on it, where as when I've let other male newbies use it they seem to struggle to hold it. (I can see there arms trembling at max draw) these are men who are clearly much stronger than me.

Got with some VelociRaptor drives to play with. These should speed up the video editing machine.

Electrodes used, the two with shiny metal snap onto adhesive pads with more metal for the ECG. Three long ones go on the chin, one short one by each eye (one above, one below), and finally one behind each ear on the bone.

Not the cap we use, but one with an insane number of electrodes.

See how all the trunks are black? They're not supposed to be. There was a huge forest fire a year or two ago. It was crazy seeing these huge trees just split and fallen over. A lot of the bark was just sheets of ash that could be picked apart. Some trees had no bark whatsoever until about 15 feet up.

Good thing I was watching where I was stepping, could have crushed this little guy.

Paracord bracelet for my husband. Once I get my hands on some buckles I will make him a new one and make one for me It's the double cobra, in case you are wondering.

Keychain I made a few years ago. Amazing how well it has held up, but it's starting to look worn. Maybe I will refinish it back to it's shiny glowing niceness or make a new one.

Told you it wasn't a shirt. Basic European 4 in 1, nothing fancy. In its compressed form this is enough to cover my front if I remember correctly. The top part is compressed and the bottom right is spread. The top right is the wire, wound into those spring-like coils, then clipped apart and put together to make the weave. Epic pain in the ass, why I'm leaning towards tiny jump ring jewelry now. The box of matches is for size comparison.
