      I see, therefore I am

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

I was going to participate but then I read some of the awful responses in this thread and nevermind I'm going to go die now.

In the end, all what matters is love.

....and spelling correctly, otherwise no one knows wtf you're talking about.

I find no meaning in life. As lonelyturtle said, I envy people who can find some sort of reason for living.
Coz atm, I don't know wtf to do.

One must be pretty stupid if he/she can't figure out which word "al" would possibly stand for.

I don't buy it, people who say they find no meaning in life at all. If that would be true, you wouldn't be breathing anymore, let alone posting on internetfora.

Was just joking with the first bit.

I honestly cannot find a meaning for life, like most people do. The reason I post on here is to pass time. Because I don't know what else to do. I do like the people here, and like putting forward my view on things, but that's not my reason for continuing to live.
The only possible reason to keep living would be just to have fun. But if I was dead, it's not like I'd care about anything, let alone having fun. It wouldn't matter.
Plus I can't just have fun, coz in the culture, you need a job which takes up most of your waking life. So the only rational option is to get a job you do like.
But that's the hard part for me. I'm not sure what I'd like to do. Mainly because I have no life purpose.

And then it happened... a door opened to a world... rushing through the phone line like heroin through an addict's veins, an electronic pulse is sent out, a refuge from the day-to-day incompetencies is sought... a board is found. "This is it... this is where I belong..." I know everyone here... even if I've never met them, never talked to them, may never hear from them again... I know you all...

There's no such thing as "The Meaning of Life", the least thing we could do is just ease the pain of our brothers' suffering til the dawn of death.

Well the meaning of life is exactly that, to live. There is no goal, quest, unless of course you want there to be. All it comes down to is - if you're happy, you are more likely to live longer, thus allowing you more time to live.

I don't have a life purpose too, in a sense of "a goal" like some people appear to have and yeah I know that can be kinda depressing sometimes... But you know, we're still young, right? There's no job that interests you at all?

I wasn't asking for "the" meaning, as I don't believe in that either. Im just interested as to where people find fulfilment. It was kind of a mistake using the word meaning in my OP. I like the second part of your post.
If theres one thing for sure it is that suffering is present in all walks of life, no matter who you are.

I live for seeking relatively rare and awesome patterns in the wilderness, especially unexpected new ones.

There is, but I'm not sure if I can attain it yet. I'm trying though. I would thoroughly enjoy working in a wildlife reserve or something similar to that.
But it's not some "I want to save all the animals" thing. Coz I realise the futility and and probable counter-productiveness of that.
But I just love animals and natural environments (or non-man made environments rather).

Thinking about how small and trivial we are, and how big and astounding the universe is, and how everything you are comes from matter and minerals from exploded stars and asteroids... its just amazing.

On a side note, you may as well try to do something outrageous and daring in your life time, even if it ends up failing and massively screwing you over. Everyone is going to die, chances are you'll remember nothing afterwards. Human life is 100 years at best, that isn't even a blink in the universe.

That's a wonderful dream. Is it a competitive field in Australia that you think you can't attain it?

It is apparently very hard to get in to anywhere, afaik. And I'm only going back to study science this year, so I guess that might put me a bit behind other people who want the job. Seems to be the way things are done these days. But I'll try anyway. If I fail, I'll go live in a jungle.

I derive the meaning of my life from the purpose I create for myself through the creation and performance of music, my passion, and the company of people i love.

Also I like using big words in grandiose sentences.

Defy the laws of existentialism: truly know another, escape the binds of oneself; the purpose of life is not self-improvement but self-destruction for the sake of knowing others in a greater sense.
