      I like 2 and 6, but I chose 2 because it's a bit less boring.

Since we're deviating from the OP's list, here's one I'd rock

I'd have the water connected with the ocean though. I hate chlorinated pools with a passion. I'd use big pipes so there was plenty of water interchange and fish swimming around and stuff. I think it would be really cool. I'd have to have a lot of natural light supplemented with artificial light. I bet I could get a reef going...

      This one is cool too.

I'd have more plants though and I don't think I'd like the chairs. Also, I think that the bookshelves above the window look fairly useless. The space could be better used for extending the windows up and getting more light for the plants.

Here's another sick one. Looks like they had a similar idea to mine for the first room. They get a better view but they can't go snorkeling in their bedroom. Gotta love the light filtered through the water though. Maybe it would be acceptable to have to climb up a set of stairs to go snorkeling.

You wouldn't want to jump in the water from your bedroom, you'd need another area to dry off, unless you plan to drip water all over your bedroom all the time, then things would get moldy and it just sounds like a bad idea. That bedroom surrounded by the swimming pool might look cool, but you'd be like constantly in a gas chamber from the chlorine, and when you're drunk, or hell, if you trip and fall in...shit...that would suck, not to mention, you'd probably drown.

I've always wanted a bedroom with a creek running through it...running water is my favorite. Or maybe a waterfall, and a nice little stream...how perfect would that be.

I also want a circular bedroom....cylindrical walls with a domed ceiling that shows an accurate representation of the night sky with constellations, kinda like a planetarium. The bed would be in the center of the room...in an area that is sunken into the floor. The lighting would be ambient, and the lights would be located all around the ledge of the cylindrical wall at about eye level...and recessed so that they project upwards toward the dome, blue lights, that mimic the ambiance of twilight. Also all along the wall, at eye level, there would be silhouettes of houses and hills in the distance, that are back lit...so it feels like you are outside looking off to the horizon and seeing hills with little houses with lights on or trees etc. I had this room in a lucid dream once, and it was the most amazing thing ever, I've sworn to recreate it at some point in my life.

(oh and I also want lots of fish/water/aquariums...but I haven't figured out a way to incorporate this without feeling claustrophobic under water...maybe the aquarium could be the floor instead of the ceiling and walls)

I had a small water feature in my room, just for the soothing sound of water. Didn't last long since it caused me to use the toilet more than calm me. I couldn't see any way around that.

I've also thought it would've been quite decent having a transparent curved ceiling leading to walls that allowed you to give the illusion of particular weather effects, such as it raining. I'd love that, if not for what happens above.

Yeah, like I said, it would be ocean water, not chlorine. Anybody that can afford that can afford cleaning staff to handle any mold that may form. I guess I'd have flagstone floors or something. Good point about getting drunk in the bedroom though. That can be a very fun place to get drunk....

ME TOO! Seriously. Though I've always pictured it running through the whole house.

As far as the aquariums go, I was thinking of having one built into the walls through the whole house. Just think of a two foot tall band of aquarium running through all the interior walls. Say it's two feet wide so the walls have to be five feet thick. That leaves choke storage under it. This way, there's still windows and wall space and what not so that you don't feel like you're underwater. Of course it would have to connect with larger portions. I'm thinking of something like a raised, indoor pond. One could walk up behind it to get a top view or look at it through glass. I'd probably keep discus in the large portion. I'd have ottos, badis, a variety of fresh water shrimp and other invertebrates, probably neon tetras, snails, etc. I design fresh water planted aquariums a lot like Amano so this is something that I've thought a lot about.

I can't wait to be a billionaire. I'm gonna have the most rocking house ever created. I haven't even talked about the aquarium big enough to snorkel in yet....

I basically agree but see Nina's points about watery bedrooms vis-a-vis getting drunk and drowning. Smart one her.

There is a hilltop to the west of here, on the way to Johnson City, that I always wanted to build a house on. I would have built the house into the rock, with a wall of windows on the northwest side, affording me a view of the sunset and incoming storms, while not destroying the shape of the landscape and the overall aesthetics of the area.

Sadly, in the last five years, someone built a five-story castle on top of the hill, and it looks downright gaudy.

Still, I bet it has a great view.

I think I could be happy with something like this, though I also like Nina's room.

Yes, please - what would you see gazing out the window, man or nature, or both?

That's not bad but I'm looking for something a little more masculine

The view from up there is of the Texas Hill Country, and it borders between the rolling hills and the western plateau area. My view wouldn't have that many homes in it, mostly other hilltops and a lot of sky.

Oh well, guess I'll have to find another hilltop for my dream home.

1 all the way. Seems the most comfortable and laid back. seems like a perfect place to smoke a bong and relax. The colors are a bit overwhelming. Prefer things a bit more plain myself. All the other choices seem overly plain and to perfect looking for though. That makes me uncomfortable. It doesn't feel natural to have things way to blank and neatly organized. But if I had to choose another it would be 3 because having your bed elevated in a secret little spot is pretty cool.
another random thought is it would be really cool to have a fire place in my room.

Four or six, but preferably four. Then I'd take out all that Batman stuff.

The third, because it's pretty awesome in general, or the fifth because it's sci-fi and dim.
Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week; you have a schedule, a calendar... Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures.
A fear of time running out.

Oh, man! Take out the TV, lampstands, and half of the lights and I'd call that my ideal fantasy-world bedroom!

#2 If I was still livin' the stoner days...

But #3, defo. The nautical theme is nostalgic heaven, and sleeping in a ship, secluded in a little private room area... Just for me.
