      Stop Panic

      What is "Stop Panic"

I have a theory that it has something to do with a course of action you should take while dreaming and in real life, sorta like "Reality Check"

But idk.. Is it a meme or fad specific to the LD community?

      Explain further...

Stop panic is when DreamView's servers were taken over by Russian hackers with bad English and announced that DVers should "stop panic" which aroused suspicion and lols from the community.

It has nothing to do with LDing.

Haha I forgot I still had that in my sig until I just read this post. I wonder how many others still do or if it's just me.

But it does fit: if you attain lucidity and don't want to get too excited and have the dream end too quickly, you have to Stop Panic.

      Haha.

If "Stop Panic" gave you a thought on reality check, then I think you should try it.

For the record, SP stands for sleep paralysis, not stop panic. However it is a generally good idea to stop panic during sleep paralysis, unless you want to wake up, then you start panic. I foresee more threads about this in future.
