      Thumbs up Am i dreaming?

Discuss about your experiences on reality checks. Like how do you notice you're dreaming. My first and only one would be That My room was upside down, literally.

XeL, you beat me to it! >:C

Yeah, it's always a sudden realization. I notice I'm dreaming at completely different times, even if something isn't strange or "out of place". I've become lucid from one or two reality checks, but if I wasn't aware enough in the first place, I would've stayed non-lucid. That's how mine usually start.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Well I was talking to my mom, she was talking something about lifting... lifting me up maybe? Then she said "look around" and I felt excitement and woke up.

Dunno how that can trigger lucidity for me, when usually I have the most random stuff happen to me and I don't have a clue that I am dreaming.
      Lucid dreaming goals:

Fly( ) Tame a recurring wolf that has been in about 10 different dreams/nightmares ( ) Fly on a Night Fury from HTTYD ( ) Ask my subconscious why I have so many nightmares ( )
Fight agent Smith ( ) Ride a huge spider to a battle against a beenest ( ) Face all of my nightmare creatures and beat them ( ) Be a god ( )

I will usually realize I am dreaming. I have a habit of reminding myself that I'm going to bed, and my room is the last location I am in before going to sleep. Sometimes I end up realizing I am in a dream recalling I just fell asleep, and follow up with a RC.

Most of the time I just suddenly know I'm dreaming, not from anything in particular.
A few times I realized I was dreaming because something scary was happening (I have lots of nightmares and anxiety dreams), or because something very strange happened. Other times I've become lucid after seeing my reflection in a mirror.

I usually know I'm dreaming when I perform a simple reality check.
