Once you become lucid. What do you normally do?

I'm having problems here since I started to say (Don't remember when nor why) "I'm dreaming" in stead of "It's a dream".
I would like to know other people's experiences in order to see different ways to face the dream once lucid.
      Thanks for your answers

Unfortunately for me, I wake up as soon as I realize I'm dreaming.

The first thing I do is examine my surroundings through my new lens of lucidity. I find that helps focus me as well in a way.

I think it is great to wake up because of it gives you the chance for a DEILD which is i.m.o. a really good experience. This time I cannot remember what happened some seconds after I realized I'm dreaming.

There's exactly my problem. I see my surroundings thinking to myself "I'm dreaming" as I'm saying some sort of "I'm stoned" or something like that. I mean, I realize I'm dreaming but I don't realize It's a dream.

Thanks, I never thought of it that way before. I've never tried one of those because I always get up immediately to record my dreams. I'm afraid I'll forget the ones I've had if I go back to sleep. Next time I might try going back to sleep after waking up.

If i got this right i guess you are just having this type of lucid dreams, where you really are lucid but you don't have control...
Live as if you 'll die today, dream as if you 'll never wake up...

Wake up (I get too excited). If not, I try to fly.

When I was 9 years old, I had a lucid dream with out knowing what it was and I flew out of my window into the night. It felt so real that I woke up and tried to fly! Now I just want to recreate that night and see if I can get it to feel as vivid and real and once I do, I'll be happy. After that, I'll either have sex while lucid or teleport to places like big mountains somewhere that I've only seen in videos.

Edit: My second Lucid Dream that I didn't wake up from I did fly. The only problem was when I said "Now, LETS FLY!" in my head, I somehow landed myself in a crashing airplane. Well I was like "What the hell?!" then I just jumped out of the airplane (Funny because I didn't help the people, lol). The sad thing was it wasn't very vivid and I didn't feel the flying sensation much. I thought once you become lucid, everything because as vivid as real life almost. I guess I was wrong.

Usually everything is as vivid as real life, but waking in a lucid dream is like waking up too early. You can't take anything in and you sort of zone out, allowing the details to blur. Try staring at your hands or rubbing them while in the dream.
      Current Goals:

[X]-Have a Lucid Dream again []-Explore my school []-Speak with a friend []-Fly []-Enter the world of TF2 videos []-Meet the Pootis-Man
[]-Meet my dream guide []-Achieve perfect realism/clarity []-Visit a sunny field

Lots of times I look at my hands and rub them together. This doesn't always seem to help any, but it's sort of become a habit in lucid dreams. Other times I just look around at all the detail in things. Often I comment to myself about how beautiful something is.

What I do first is stabilize while wondering what my goals are, always think about it before going to sleep, I think about stabilizing and goals, that is.

I think my logic center just doesn't work as well as I would like that moment.

I use to feel my weight to stabilize my dream (It works best for me) and it's good to think about my goals when I have the time to do it. It works when I have the time. Nowadays I don't have much time to spend around lucid dreaming (may be I have a little by now to visit this site).
When I realized I was dreaming (four times this month) I didn't have any goals. I didn't remember anything about what I wanted to do before. I ended up improvising (if I did something) with whatever I had at hand and I lost the dreams.
I'm wondering if there are people who don't plan to lucid dream but they know what to do whenever it happens or at least most of the times.

Box77, the great thing about lucid dreaming is that you don't need time. You can be busy all day and still LD! It's such a great activity because it really doesn't take any time out of your day - you'd be sleeping anyways!

I must never forget to stabilize first!!! and if there are no goals, just look around, It's ALL a dream!!
