I think that the reason that your mind can create what seems like strangers, but look kind of familiar is because they're mostly a composite of faces that you've seen and remembered. The closeness...

Damn it feels good to be credible. I wonder if we might have a new member or two from your class?

One thing about this is that you're trying to simply get into the habit of doing RCs instead of doing them for a certain reason. While doing RCs often helps, I think that doing them for a reason...

I agree with Alzarin. This is not really a paradox so much as it is a problem with semantics or how things are observed. That one grain of sand DOES make a difference, whether you can see that...

First of all, weird sleep schedules can seriously mess up your chances of LDing. Having said that, I find the reverse blinking is really useful. What you do is calm down your breathing, then keep...

So, I had my first lucid in over a year on my second DV anniversary! Excellent timing, brain!
I remember looking at my hand. I counted it over twice. On the first time, I had six fingers. The second, my fingers had weird 'half fingers" in between them. Very obvious signs of a dream!
In a very poor attempt to stabilize and increase the vividity of my dream, I felt the texture of my mother's laptop in front of me. This didn't actually do anything to help that. I should have just looked around carefully and taken in my surroundings.
At this point, I get up from where I was sitting and decide to try and hover. I get up from the couch in m living room and start to jump as hard as possible. I was trying to jump to a degree that would make me "stick" in the air and hover like that. It didn't work AT ALL.
I woke up at this point.
This entire dream was in black and white, so, yeah.
I'm in a small two room building. I don't know where the building is, but it appears to be a street outside. In the first room ( the lobby), there are several chairs in a circular shape, and filing cabinets line the walls. At one end is the entrance, a glass door. At the other, the door to the second room. Three people go into the third room, one at a time.
Inside, it is very dim. The only thing in the room is some sort of press (not printing). Two man and a women go in and use the press. The first man gets invincible teeth. the second is simply invincible. The third, the woman, is turned into some sort of zombie. ( She didn't appear to be decaying, like most zombies, so maybe she was just the sexiest cannibal I've ever seen) The dream ends as I'm talking to the woman.
I was in my living room. I do the Finger Count RC. First thing I can think of doing is flying. I jumped toward the kitchen, aiming for the door, and faceplant into my tile floor. (no pain.., curious) I look up and see an old mac monitor
I'm unable to make out what's on it. I wake up here.
I don't remember much, but what I did remember was pants-wettingly scary.
I am walking down a street near my house. I em nomming on a brick of cheese.
That is all.
I find myself in some sort of room. I don't there are four couches in the room, two side-by-side facing the other two in the same position. Sitting on the couches is a motherly and fatherly figure, and possibly their huge family.
The mother announces "How about we go play Laser Tag?" To which, the children shout and yell for joy. Next thing I know, they're attaching frozen fingers to their fingerless hands.
While they are doing this the children sing a song I've decided to title "It's Eyes". Don't ask.
Really disturbing dreams last night...
