      What was the first question you ever asked on dreamviews?

      Write it here if you can find it for some back to the past memories. XD

      The one below is my first question.

      A Thought On Dream Sharing ^ w ^
      Hi. I'm new to this website and was thinking about the topic of dream sharing.
      I'm curious about it and had a question about it. From what
      I read you can probably share a dream with someone you've
      never met before or with someone you have and dream guides
      are important. But what is a dream guide? Would you call the
      person that saves you from your nightmares and kind of hangs out
      with you when your bored in a dream your dream guide?Another
      thing i would like to mention is I don't like magic, spells
      and I don't believe in that past lives thing. Oh and what do dream guides really do?

      So I kind of had an unintentional WILD attempt... I was taking a nap in order to have a DILD, but I woke up about an hour after I started my nap. When I checked the clock and realized I still had time, I laid back down and tried to do a SSILD. I kind of lost concentration and started to drift.

      All of a sudden, my left arm jerked about a foot to the left on the bed. It felt like someone picked up my arm and tried to throw it away from my body. I also heard kind of a pop in my ears when it happened. At first it caught me off guard, but then I realized it was a hypnogogic jerk. Then I started to see some hypnogogic imagery. At first it looked like blue static, but then it started to get brighter and clearer, and it began to look like hundreds of cameras flashing repeatedly, like at a sporting event. It kept getting brighter, and then all of a sudden it faded out. There was kind of a ringing in my ears, but other than that, the hypnagogia stopped.

      I wasn't sure if I was dreaming or not, so I slowly tried to breathe through my closed mouth, but it didn't work. I relaxed a little bit and tried to let my head kind of sink into the pillow. Then I started to feel this kind of swirling sensation in my head (I've been able to induce this kind of thing before, although I'm not entirely sure what it is). I was able to get it to intensify a little bit, until I began to hear this buzzing. Unfortunately, that was not part of the hypnogogia... That was actually my cell phone ringing... And it was a telemarketer from Illinois, no less! So needless to say, that totally ruined the whole experience.

      So my question is, how close was I to a WILD? I know it's almost impossible to pinpoint exactly how close I was, but what I want to know is like what steps I missed. Like, if it were ever to happen again the same way, what could I have done differently to successfully have had a WILD?
      Knowing what I know now, I definitely know I was super close to a WILD. Too bad I'm pretty sure it was another year or so after this that I actually had my first WILD.

      Hehe : D You were pretty close but wow. You've come a long way since than. How many WILDs do you usually get now? That thing where your arm jerks and moves use to happen to me too.But it would usually try and hit my chest so I would have to be in a position that would make it less likely to happen. I think expectation might play a part in it for me.

      We have days before the month here So 22! Yeah I did pretty well, must have been my extreme interest and commitment to it. I knew LDing is a real thing and I really wanted to have more of them.

      Spellbee, what methods do you use now to induce LDs? Do you still use SSILD? Or only WILD or something else? And do you make use of other things such as ADA, or just reality checks?
      Maybe a combination of things? What's your routine generally like? Sorry for the questions, I'm just curious

      Sorry for not answering your question, been having internet problems at home and didn't really have a chance to reply.

      I don't use SSILD anymore, as it kinda stopped working for me after a couple months of doing it. Mostly I do MILD right now, doing RCs throughout the day, and reaffirming my mantras during WBTB. Though I try to WILD whenever I take a nap, as I usually fall asleep too quickly for WILDs during my WBTB.

      I think my key is emphasizing quality over quantity when it comes to RCs. Each one can usually last like 5-10 minutes for me, and the whole time I'm remaining aware of everything around me while also sincerely questioning if I'm dreaming.
