I have trouble getting to sleep often. This is due to the many lights in my bedroom and out my window and through my shutters. |

When Pikachu is in doubt he does a reality check.
Blindfolds made for this work great! |

Well it's this damn lightpost out my window, even with shutters it makes this pattern on my bed which lands over my head and looking the other way doesn't help much. |

So...for $14 you go get a rod and a curtain. They're not hard to install. |

Move your bed if you have enough room? I did that as well, though I use my shutters most of the time. |

A slightly cheaper, much more redneck solution is taping black trash bags or aluminum foil in the window. That's what my dad did when I was growing up and he worked night shift. Also, if you live near a Walmart, you can buy paper black out blinds for like $5 that you cut to fit your window with regular scissors. It's really just black paper with a sticky top and bottom, lol. I use the paper from Walmart, but they fade after about 6 months and have to be replaced. The trash bags and aluminum foil don't fade. |
