First Time I Entered Sleep Paralysis - AMAZING

I woke up at 5:00 this morning and went on DV's for about 15 minutes, reading different WILD techniques. I laid back in my bed and decided on breathing and counting. I would breathe in, out, 1, in, out, 2, and so on. I kept losing track and losing focus but would keep counting numbers none the less. After what I think was 100, I dozed off. Out of nowhere, BAM. My body goes insane and I feel intense, very fast vibrations of electricity. It's hard to describe. My heart was POUNDING and it was hard to breathe. My whole body feels very tense and I was extremely excited. My eyes felt like they were fluttering. The bed and lower half of my body felt like it was twisting and turning. I loved it, it's definitely not scary, you feel accomplished.

It only lasted for a minute before it faded away and I was laying there normally again. I tried to roll out of bed into a dream, but I was awake. My quick reality check failed. I laid there for another 20 minutes until i had to get up for school.

Any tips on how I can go farther?

i was so pumped to get into SP because a WILD felt like a technique that i would be able to do
but after reading the old hag stories i've been getting paranoid but this kinda reassures me that it'll be okay !

Yeah I was worried about all that last year, but it's an amazing experience. Very few people ever see frightening imagery, most of the time it's just colors and a big acid trip.

That happens to me every frickin' time. And worse, my body gets REALLY REALLY hot when I get to SP. Funny thing is I have no audio hallucinations and I see very little HI
The only sleep paralysis I had that my heart didn't go insane was when I went to sleep listening to an induction mp3 and it woke me up in the middle of the night. I felt my body go numb and tingle all over and then I fell asleep haha

My tip is: well, the only time SP didn't make my heart race was when I woke up but didn't move after waking up, so I suggest you put an alarm that stops by itself and once you wake up lay still, count to 100 and do an RC, or just watch HI and transition to a dream (however that's done )

but i tried this afternoon and i actually saw HI this time, light blue lights and heard a bit of popping in my ears but never reached SP
i don't think i was tired enough, so i'm going to try again tonight using WBTB

I tried sleep paralysis, and after a long time of lying still, my heart began to pound and I felt very stiff and felt great pressure on my legs. It was exciting, but I was scared that something frightening would happen so I stopped it. This is the second time I've stopped sleep paralysis because of fear! But I'll be brave enough one day. And keep trying, I know it'll work for you eventually! At least you're not afraid of it!

i was afraid too but i was told few people have frightening hallucinations
you know what makes it so scary ? the fact that all you ever hear about it , is how scary it is !
it is what you make it, but think about it
your in the same bed, and you're still walking and dreaming today
things don't randomly grab you in the night ! we just fear the unknown,
so the only way to overcome that fear is to face it
i think you'll find it more rewarding then harmful/scary

The first and only time I got SP was when I was trying to wild but I feel asleep, had a quick dream but woke up and hit sp instantly. So basically it was almost a DEILD. But sp was awsome. I was hearing some lady screaming outside my door and my sister screaming "go get him." I liked it because it meant I was getting close but then I think I screwed up because I listened to the yelling to much.

I honestly don't know. I can't get to it either.

Anyways, the technique I linked gave me no success at all. Failed twice. Gonna try to WILD again tonight!

was that the technique where you tape the cardboard to your wrist lol ? If it is then all the posts I made on it are gone and so is the thread. Im gonna try the "no technique" tonight where you use confidence to have a lucid dream

Not only that, but the dude who created the thread got banned
My guess would be he made up that theory and most dudes who posted saying they had succes were registered under the same IP... or it's all a big conspiracy or something

It was the easy way out though, to just put a piece of cardboard in your wrist and have a lucid dream? How awesome would that be?

Oh, vmenge... you and I are the same I also usually get very hot when I'm in SP, and very little in the way of any kind of hallucinations. So, what I do, is when I do my breathing technique, I imagine that with each exhale, I'm sinking further into the couch. The further I sink and relax, the better. I try to do some 3rd eye focusing too (it's the spot on your forehead between your two eyes... but just lightly above it, if that makes any sense)...

From there, I usually start to feel vibrations at the base of my neck and head. Now... here's where I have been tripping up lately. I know I'm WILDing too early in the night, because I often pass out at this point (3 hours, I don't recommend it!! The reason was because I was trying to beat the sunlight though, because bedtime is usually around 2am for me - I work late).

Alternatively, I wimp out and move, because SP gets pretty uncomfortable, at times I need to man up

So, here's what I intend to do... Not wimp out or pass out, first off But secondly, try to induce either more frequent, or longer SP vibrations. If I get them lasting a really long time, I'll just sit up and interrupt them. Why? Because the chances are pretty strong that I'm actually already dreaming at this point

Alternatively, if they are still short, then wait for about 3 waves to pass, then get up.

The point is, that I'm fairly positive that when I transition, the start of my WILDs see me laying on the couch, exactly where I left the waking world. I got this idea from a buddy of mine whose WILDs act exactly this way.

      Too good to be true.

Now that I think about it, his original post made no sense, he put some stupid "visualization" picture that was just a hypnotic spiral. Goes to show how bad we all wanna get Lucid though!

Damn, now I feel dumb for trying it hahah. Yea I was wondering how the hell a peice of cardboard on your wrist can do anything. why would someone make that up. OH and I think he made a thread before saying that if you look at that picture he posted , then you'll get a lucid dream. But that thread got deleted to.

Going to try some 3rd eye focusing (never heard about that before) and the sinking further into the couch thingy (thanks! )

Usually my problem when WILDing is going back to sleep when I WBTB
I have fixed this problem by using a timer from Lucidology (so I don't have to get up from bed), but I've been falling back asleep every single time or moving as soon as I wake up (after I move I can't get back to sleep for some god forsaken reason).
Not moving used to be a huge problem for me (I tried WILDing tons of times haha) but that was because I used to count numbers and got really really bored, now I just let my thoughts flow (though sometimes they tend to get frenetic and I think that hurts my attempts), yesterday I spent a little more than 1 hour laying in my bed trying to WILD to no avail (still very relaxing though).
Lately I've been having something I thought was SP but now I'm not so sure (this is only when I try WILDing before I go to sleep or on afternoon naps). After a while not moving my whole body gets numb and I feel tingling all over when I try to move (which also results in twitching), and I just sort of freeze in this state. If I make an effort I can move any limbs and feel the tingle go in an uncomfortable way, but it's downright weird I think. Since during the second time this happened my parents talked to me and I opened my eyes, I'm thinking this is something else but not SP

Well looking at a picture at getting lucid does seem pretty moronic, but it would be incredibly awesome, and easy, and to good to be true

Well I can gladly say, I had my first ever Lucid Dream last night. It was a DILD, and I wasn't fully lucid at all. But it still counts!

I was wondering what happened to that cardboard topic as well. If it was a conspiracy, why? The guy didn't link to anything he could profit from. Perhaps he just wanted to mess with us?

Awesome Gratz on your first LD. And congratz on reaching SP! I've been attempting WILD for the past few months now, but have failed each attempt. I haven't even reached SP yet.

Whenever i try to wild, i get some flashing lights, like its really bright outside and its hitting my eyes. I know its not real so i keep going. Then i keep getting whispers in my ear from my mom of really stupid sounding things. Something like,"Hey, i'm here." It annoys me since i can't do anything after that. Its the worlds loudest whisper.

Hey, BrettWp: Can you describe the technique you used and what you did to achieve it in greater detail?
