I don't think about anything in particular. I just let my mind wander and try to stay aware of what direction it's wandering in.

I usually repeat my goals a few times as mantra and do some visualization while relaxing, if for whatever reason i am not sleepy enough by that point then i just let my mind wander off while being aware of it.

I just recently found out how to have WILDs on a consistent basis and it was way easier than I imagined it to be.
All I do is to get into a position where I'm slightly uncomfortable (usually my back or side) and then try to get sleepy. The uncomfortableness (it that even a word?) prevents me from falling asleep completely and then I just do whatever I would do when I try to fall asleep normally. Usually I start to daydream at some point or just become unconscious for a short while.

Alright. So three different people here who have had quite a few of lucid dreams so far. And each of their method is different. Conclusion seems to me that everyone has a different method that works for them personally. Is that correct to assume? I have never had a WILD.

Yeah, everyone is different. What works for one person might not work for you. You gotta figure out your own preferences and behaviours (sleep behaviours in this case) and use them to your advantage. Don't go down the same way I did for years, don't try to re-create the results of another person. Find your own way and use the tutorials only to gain the basic knowledge.

      I mostly prey. ???pray????

Here I am reaching weird half sleep stuff and must anchor. I anchor around the feeling in my mantras. Comonly it is just the mantra 'thank you'

A usefully anchor AND serves as preyer time.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

I repeat my mantra and visualize myself in a dream. If I am tired enough the visual will go on by itself (Like a random train of thought). If I am awake enough I will be able to keep my mantra going through it. Then I will start feeling both bodies and normally gain consciousness right there (I lose it a little, but keep my mantra up). I concentrate only on what I am feeling in dream and start rubbing my hands together, this makes me lose feeling in my real body and be right in the dream. I can do this upon initial sleep if I am tired enough and have some caffeine, it just takes a while. From WBTB it just takes the right mindset and timing.

Use the turtorials only for basic knowledge. So true. I AP'd own my own devise, a sort of willed meditation. Not like yoga meditation, but concentrated. Hard to explain. Anyway, find it for yourself - that's the only way. It's a journey inward and someone may plant a seed for thought, but you own imagination has to germinate it.

      Good thoughts

I personally repeat my mantra until i find that i am having to correct myself on it and that's when i realize i am starting to doze again then i just let my mind wander while anticipating the dream "softly" if that makes sense. i definitely don't start focusing too hard on it, that's a recipe for insomnia. it starts to happen much easier and more naturally though if you just keep putting in the work.
