A wierd way I got lucid last night

Hello fellow dreamviewers! So last night I went to bed and had a dream and while I was in that dream I went to sleep. I was sleeping while having a dream about sleeping. When I went to sleep in my dream I became lucid. So I was in a dream that was in a dream and became lucid inside the second dream. The funny thing about it is that right before I went to sleep inside the dream I thought to myself "I hope I can become lucid!" and then BAM! In the second dream I did. So I'm thinking that could be some really wierd way of doing it So tell me what you think and has this ever happened to you? Thanks for reading!

Wow, that is an amazing new technique! You should test this with other people, and if the results are consistently positive, then you can post a tutorial of some kind of the forums! I hope you are successful!

Kind of like a reverse false awakening. Instead of ending a dream and waking up in a dream, you go to bed first then live the dream. Weird :S but nice

Oh yeah. It was extremely wierd. In the dream I was like "I'm going to go to sleep. I should try to WILD!" Then right when I laid down on the bed I was thrown into another dream in which I became lucid

I've had a few dreams where I've WILDed, entered "sleep paralysis" and then went into a new dream. Then I'd become lucid, and not realize the sleep paralysis wasn't real until after I woke up.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

A similar thing happened to me too.
I was having a dream (Non-Lucid) then I tried to WILD.
I felt Sleep Paralysis in my dream and everything.

I've had one LD and I got it by having a dream within my dream...

Yea my second ld was kind of like that, I was on a ground after a normal dream, and closed my eyes and ended up in a FA which i recognized immediately. Maybe when in a lucid you could use this to extend your time within the dream, and when you "wake up" you will just be in your regular dream which will turn to FA and another LD. Good job on the discovery!

Technically, a brand new dream, as it's impossible to actually have a dream within a dream... Inception's a bit far from reality after all.

Did you have a FA from your lucid by any chance?

If your talking to me, yes I have. The thing is I didn't recognized it as I was so intent on getting back into it. Even though I was in a completely different setting than my room. So I went from a lucid dream, into a false awakening which played out like a regular dream, into another lucid dream. Its weird, but it worked.

False Awakening, it's when you think you wake up for real. But really it is just a dream of you waking up. It usually happens after an LD, so be on the look out.

Whenever I go to sleep in a dream I either have a false awakening, wake up for real or become lucid in the original dream as soon as I close my eyes.

Lucky guy madmonkey. It took me a week of dream recall and actually learning about LD to get my first two, then a week later 2 more. I feel like I should be better at doing them, but I cant even enter SP, well the SP that is described here on the sight.

I should probably have said that it only makes me become lucid now that I know how to become lucid. It wasn't until maby my 10th lucid that I became lucid that way and it is because think about going to sleep cauzed me to think about being lucid.
