      Imagination

Im not sure if this exists but I think I've developed a new technique. After awakening from a dream, it is a little like DIELD's but you imagine yourself in a dream. First you can only get the concrete details, like in a waking state, but the more you think about it the more vivid it becomes. Then the next thing you know your in a dream. Has anybody done this? I've been able to get so many lucid dreams out of this as long as I become lucid in one.

This is the main technique I use when I DEILD - I basically imagine I'm in a dream again, and visualize a scene, along with tactile and auditory sensations. The dream eventually cements itself around me. It's not new, per say, but it's a good method to use.

I do this sometimes, too. When I am trying something like DEILD or MILD, I will use the previous dream as a starting point. When I am doing something more like WILD, I will use whatever memory comes easy. Sometimes it will be a dream, other times a memory from life.

I imagine objects, until they become more vivid.. And yes, this is my primary method.
---o--- my DCs say I'm dreamy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the VILD technique?

It's similar, but it's not used with WILD, intead with DEILD.

DEILD is a form of WILD however, so yeah it is VILD right after waking up. In fact, DEILD is a WILD right after waking up. So it doens't really matters so long as it works.
