First Lucid Ever Last Night!! Finally

Hello Everybody. I'm male age 30s from usa. I have practiced lucid dreaming training( RCs and Dream journal dream recall) for since about November 5. That means it's been like 1 month.

I was disappointed about my recall and about not having a Lucid dream. Bu i did it!!! I finally did it
I kept practicing everyday. Mantras, RCs, awareness, and sometimes meditation. I thought i wasn't making progress especially since like 5 days ago for 4 days i coudnt remember my dreams at all and it was disappointing.

but last night the first wake up time was at like 2 and that failed. i didn't have any dream recall.
But then as i went back to sleep i kept saying mantras in my mind as i fell as sleep. And thoughout the day i do the
looking at my hands and asking myself if i'm dreaming. And i specifically did the Mantra that i posted about yesterday which surprisingly did work. This one "I'm dreaming" or "this is a dream"

Then i had it I had my lucid dream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll tell you how it went.

==First i was in my house , kind of like waking up or something and i looked at my hands several times and i had 5 fingers. But then I looked again, and i had 6!!!!!!!!

So then i just went crazy already lucid. testing out RCs even though i already became lucid. hehehe. I specifically tested the mirror one alot. Sometimes my face would be there and then i woiuld check again and there would be like a weird background behind me or i wouldn't be there. It was funny and fun.

Anyways, so i was in my house and I wanted to try meeting sexy girls. I didn't really know how. I thought you just call it out "I want sexy girl" and that she would immediatly come to me. Mmmm. that didn't work. and i kept trying that. heheh.
So i was disappointed. But i tried flying and that did work perfect. It was gooood. I just flew inside my house alittle.

Then, I said "why isn't not working with the girl thing" and i decided to go to another room where my sister used to live because i thought that since it was a Girl room that there my "I want a sexy girl" command would work. And it didn't really work.

So i went outside, and i flew bit more and stuff happend. Then i thought, why am i asking for 1? I should get 10 girls!
But that didn't work anyways. but
at least i got one snippet of a girl , driving to meet me. but never got to met her, didn't wait.

just went walking downtown thinking that "Maybe this is not how it works, maybe i have to GO where girls are"
      And so i headed downtown..

And then it ended. It was my first lucid but it lasted pretty good amount of time.

Yesterday at night I was watching Lucid dreaming videos and i watched this 30 minute video of some British Lucid dreaming instructor he was being interviewed by some athletic body builder guy who also likes dreaming. And then other
videos that said "How to stay lucid" and it said something about not letting the excitement get to you.

So in my lucid i was excited but i didn't let it get me. I just experienced it But it was
      disappointing that i couldn't get what i wanted(girls ).

I also watched one video from a guy talking excitedly about how awesome lucid dreaming is and HOw to Experience and Maintain a Lucid dream and what to expect.

      Anyways, it was great. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      Great Lucid dreaming.

But i wonder why i couldn't call out what i wanted to see (girls) . it just didn't work.

Another thing i want to add about why i didn't really wait for the girl that was coming towards me in a car.
After that shot appeared, another shot of inside a car with a bunch of gangsters appeared so those guys were either heading towards me before her or capturing her before she gets to me. In any case i didn't want to get involved so i left .

Also i want to say an interesting thing about when the lucid dream ended.
As it was ending and i was waking up. My fingers went back to 5. and also i lost the ability to fly. that was interesting

      Heeeey, congrats

You did it. Now you know you can for sure, and more of them are on their way.

Just please don't be disappointed. You tried to summon and that doesn't always work in first LD. But you flew!! Isn't that great?

Best way to summon something is to KNOW that it is just behind the corner. Or behind you. Or behind the next door. Some nearby place, that's out of your view. But instead of wishing it to be there, you KNOW that it's there. You can try again. But if it doesn't work, don't be disappointed. Work on getting your lucids longer first, so you have more time to do things.

You can also practice summoning during day. Say "wow, what a pretty brunette standing behind me". Imagine her there and turn around and rejoice. Same thing behind the corner or door. Say to yourself "I'm meeting Rachel in the caffee behind the corner" Then walk there and know that she is there".

You can find more about this in Dream Control section. Happy dreams

Congrats, that is really great. One month is a fairly typical time for dedicated practitioners to get their first LD, some are longer. Mine too came in one month. I know it feels like forever when you really want it, but this is another important lesson: with patience and regular, dedicated practice, the LDs WILL come!

Congrats also on a nice long first LD. You had time to move around to several different rooms, fly, that's great!

With summoning, the key is not "wishing" for something, but "knowing" in full confidence that it is there. As gab said, you can practice this in real life. I do this alot and I think it helps a lot. Summoning around a corner didn't work for me either the first time I tried it in LD #2, but in retrospect I think it was more wishing than confident expectation. However, the first time I did behind-the-back summoning in LD #10 (hold you hand out behind you, call out "XYZ, take my hand!" and pull your hand back in front of you) it worked. Also the first time I did "BE THERE" summoning (I called out a name and pointed at a couch (not directly looking at it), said confidently in a commanding voice "BE THERE!") and looked and the DC was there) it worked, but as you see, LD #7, so getting used to the dream environment and building confident commanding expectation can also take a while....

so remember, patience, and real life practice. I also didn't summon something vague ("cute girl"), I summoned a particular person by name (didn't matter if it was a real life name, or a nickname that I had given them) and a mental vision of how they looked. That may also help increase summoning success.

Or you could work on something like "behind this door is a nudist colony beauty contest" . Just theoretically speaking, of course

      Congratulations, man!

I like to think of lucid dreaming as "mental workout".
In the beginning you might not notice any immediate results, but if you stick to it you will gradually build your "dream muscles" and start becoming better and better at it.

Congrats, bro. I have been reading a lot of your posts, and have been rooting for you. That's so cool how you stayed in the lucid dream like that, and that you had a lucid dream after only one month of practice!

One thing that's cool about mirrors, is in dreams you can walk right through them! They usually lead to another land. I am sure you will get with girls in your lucid dreams eventually!

Sadly i was so happy but i'm having health problems so it's tough to be happy today. I've been having some like parkinson-like trembling and suddent jolts in my limbs so i'm having trouble when walking. So i'm not feeling great. But at least i'll try my best to continue my dreaming life . Although my neck is hurting badly cause my body is getting slamed over and over when i walk and almost fall..so it's hurting badly.

i'm gonna get checked with neuroglogist about what the heck i'm experiencing. as i said in some of my thread before. i have history of head trauma(but as kid). but that was long time ago so i don't know why now i'm starting to get theese weird involuntary movements.

I hope i can have some nice dreaming and sleep.
Maybe i can get healed in my dream

By the way guys. That flying in my Lucid was awesome!!!!!! I still remember how it felt. It was pretty awesome and unique sensation being off the ground flying.

Sorry to hear about your health problems. I was injured in a car accident, a neck injury. I had these symptoms of temporary paralysis of an entire arm or leg for about 10 0r 15 seconds, muscle spasm, and seizures. I thought it was because of the car accident, but it was actually because I was deficient in sodium. (I restricted my sodium intake because I was taught it's bad for your heart.) Anyway, I now eat as much sea salt as I want on my food, and the paralysis, spasms, and seizures have all gone away.
I still have chronic pain, though. Maybe if you can get some traction on your spine, that might help. Sounds like your spinal cord might be getting pinched by your vertebrae.
      And yes, FLYING IS AWESOME!
