Regardless of what the truth is, how would you prove it? |

I had a dream the other night and a random DC randomly popped up and said something which blew my mind and then dissapeared? I woke up like " what the hell ". Ever since I've been thinking if they are really apart of our subconscious? Some stuff they come out with seems like they have there own mind. Dreams don't usually give us a straight answers( non lucid), it's more like like puzzle for us to figure out ourselves. |

Some do have their own consciousness and others do not. It takes quite a bit of effort to tell the difference, but generally those DCs with their own consciousness possess knowledge you do not, and can teach it to you in a dream, and you are later able to confirm this information in your waking life later on. What that information is can be up to you, just make a request. |

I wonder, have many weird encounters with DCs, but then again I can make up normal characters in my imagination all the time and they seem to be conciouss too, so don't see it that difficult in dreams. |

I don't think DCs have their own consciousness either.... but.. maybe except subconsciousness that reflects our mind in dream. I also had several experiences like yours, where a DC or voice in my head tell me really wise things. It's from your higher self, rather than the subconscious. aka super consciousness or 'angels' that everyone has. I know that it's part of me, but when I look back at what they have told me, it feels like a different person. We talk about lower self(subconscious) all the time, but strangely enough, on a very few occasion people talk about the higher self. It's as real as the lower self, but much different. It's also called 'inner voice'. |

It's so very interesting and amazing to be able to have a frame work to ask such questions - I have been listening to Gateway to the Inner Self for a while and Robert W touches on these kinda questions a lot. He encourages LDreamers and all into dreaming to spend time with these kind of questions ..do little experiments and ask questions etc. I Have started doing that - I find it very rewarding that there is this new 'place ' I can go and ask all the questions I have rambling around in my head. Recently I have been looking for DC's that have deceased so that I can ask them questions...it's slow coz sometimes you get the DC's that seem to be a little 'slow' |

In fact it actually happens all the time irl as well, it's a matter of recognizing it or not. If I remember correctly from the book Man and Symbols, the nature of subconscious is helping us for spiritual development, speaking through images and symbols in dream, picking up common archetypes within human collective unconscious. So it does make sense it has do with our connection. |

I have no proof, but sometimes my DC have their own will and consciousness. Sometimes very different from normal man. I agree that it is most probable that DC are mirrors of our subconscious mind. However one thing is what I think now, other is what I feel about some DC sometimes. Isn't it possible that other dreamers could penetrate into the same dream as we are in? (dream telepathy). Not very scientific view of things, I know |
|
From my own experiences I am of the opinion that it is possible to encounter entities in the dream state that have their own self-aware consciousness. |
|
This doesn't even include the possibility that it actually is something you know, but are unaware of, or something made up and by chance actually matches information in reality. The probability of DCs having their own consciousness is pretty low. Right now all I see is a bunch of confirmation bias. There isn't anything remotely conclusive that's been presented so far. |
|
I would like to test this, but... you know, it is not reliable. Because the dream is most probably only imagination. I'm not sure about prophetic dreams or OBE because I had such... But it is not provable that it is not imagination. What experiment could prove that at least some DC are real dreaming people? |

DCs are also connected to the fabric from which you originated. The conscious mind is the dream state and waking life is often the subconscious. Practicing perspective shifting allows for understanding the whole. From the perspective of the whole, source, God, higher self whichever one you feel most comfortable it is all part of the same. A DC is a mirror with messages from your conscious and your subconscious mind. The conscious mind is aware of it all, it is whole. |
