I like the idea of an island. We can always put a carnival on the island.

Maybe we can also come up with an easy way to get into the middle of the ocean. Like if there were portals, or a password that you can say at any door and it will turn into a portal to the island/carnival.

The place I was in, it was an island.

Not far from shore, when I was there, but that is what the long curved bridges were for.

Here is what I had drawn, if you all want to use it.

Something I could mention, is that places like these, just like any recurring lucid dream place...they sort of have to be solidified, in the place itself.

If they are mental ideas, of what it could be...there is not solidity in it...and it could become just another discussion. Or story projection.

But solid places can, and have been formed, or found. It just has to be done, while there. At least that is what I have learned.

I feel it is a good idea that you all collectively go to one place. Like a carnival.

Ill get it together and make it the official BD task for April. Should have the task posted by the 1st, as long as my new laptop cord arrives on time.

I like the carnival idea but my only complaint of this whole BD Task list is what's next after April is done. Are we doing another meeting of some kind or is there something else that has already been planned?

I disagree. No one has to be accepted into the Deep Dreaming forum. It's just a matter of asking for access. The info on it is right there for anyone to see. And most people who are interested in this subject already have access anyway.

But, at least, other than the one exception, negative people have been ignoring this thread so far.

The DV carnival is an awesome idea and should be an ongoing thing. There could be other tasks within that one, or other side tasks. But I think it would be cool to have a permanent DV dreamers hang out. If it's just a one month thing, I doubt I'll even get around to trying for it. Maybe one or two tries at best. And my control skills at trying to consciously manifest something of that scale have not even been worked on...


I love the island idea. I come across oceans often enough. I should be able to find an island on one, hopefully. I doubt I could find one specific waking world island. But I should be able to find one in general terms.

Let me just say: Many of you guys here already know how to LD and OBE so the only thing I would request is:
Don't forget about us little guys! who are still on learning stages!...

maybe we could develope tasks for those who want to "challenge themselves" (like someone around here said) and another task for us begginers!

Actually they have this shared dreaming thread somewhere around here... They have this whole thing built up on the moon , they all go and add stuff... many of the members say they see what others create there, so.... it could be possibl

You misunderstood mea. She meant that the deep dreaming forum requires aproval to be involved. Which shuts the door on people, especially if they are labeled negative for raising questions and variables.

But, at least, other than the one exception, negative people have been ignoring this thread so far.

I guess negative people are not acting like assholes enough.

I think it's a good idea if all of us try to go to the same place on the same night. For example, every Thursday night for a month.

I think you misunderstand Deep Dreaming. It doesn't shut the door on anyone who has a genuine interest in the subject matter.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I would imagine that anyone wanting to get involved in beyond dreaming tasks would have an interest in the subject.

So far I have only labeled one person as negative. That person joined DV and made their first two posts in this thread. Both of those posts were obviously intended to be insulting. What type of person does that? well, I think I already said it. I didn't see any questions or variables.

Edit: Nomad, that is a good idea. But Sunday night works better for me. I'll try for any night that's picked in any case.

It seems to make more sense to make this a semi-permanent dreaming place until we collectively get bored of it . Nomad has a good idea making it a weekly thing. But the problem with that is some of us can't 'control' what night were going to be lucid on. Even if we are lucid four times a week, it could be every day but the chosen day!

If we make it every day, obviously people get bored of it!

Maybe we can create a party system? Let's imagine that this dreaming space is already real! Then someone decides to have a dream party at this special place for a number of days straight in a row, at least three days. If you missed the party, it's okay! Start your own or wait for the next party.

We should try to collectively as a group hold hold a three day party at least twice a month. The advantage is, it doesn't mean you have to be a part of the party every time. Maybe you only want to participate once a month. This also means that anyone can try to hold a party, and no one has to feel obliged to party, in case they would rather work on another dreaming task.

Holding a party simply means you will focus on this dream task for the next three days!

Well, what do you think? Too much?

If we still want badge icons there could be two kinds! Successfully dreaming of the party of dream sharing! And successfully bringing something to the party that someone else dreamed of!

I want to build a Giant statue of Me and Asuka on this island!

Regarding the DV island carnival, this would be a month long event for people to try and meet up with other DVers and share dreams. Each month, if you guys want, we can have a different meeting place. So basically the BD task would be to dream share with another DVer at this island resort. And this will be for the whole month. You can come back as often as you are able and meet as many DVers as you can. Perhaps special recognition will go to the person who is able to meet the most DVers.

The dreams should NOT be made public or posted in you dream journals, but instead please PM them directly to me...and I will post all dreams from the same night at once, so we know that one persons account is not effecting anothers. We will all be able to look through the dreams and decide as a group if genuine dream sharing took place. That is the only way to get credit for this task.

I have many ideas for BD tasks, so there's no need to have this on go on any longer than a month. Next month, it will be something entirely new, but extremely cool. =)

It doesn't matter what island or what ocean, so long as you know where you are intending to go. If you come from air...you will see the island as you are flying over the ocean. If you come by portal or teleport...just know telepathically where you are going...to the DV island. If anyone has any other suggestions for how to get there, or about the task in general go right ahead. But let's have this ready to start April 1st

Aquanima: I am wondering, if you have ever created a solid place in dreaming, where others could also go into?

I feel like maybe you have not...because this takes more than a month to create a large solid place.

What nomad mentioned about repeating going there, he is right, it has to be over and again, and it takes a while.

I have seen in other places, where they do this thing of everyone try and dream on the same night...and report back...but the ones here already know that dreaming can be shared. And when this BD task was suggested, it did not seem like it was going to become just another test to find out if shared dreaming is acutally happening...

Creating a solid place, is something beyond dreaming...

Mea:

Nomad built his tower and temple on the moon in one of the first nights he made it there: without even trying. Me and raven created hotsprings in the bio dome over night. All three of us built a snow castle, Only I remember it. ALL THREE of us built a theme park on the moon, and neither of us remembered it. They all seem pretty stable to me.
