      Pop Quiz
I am in my car and driving down the street that leads to my house. The street has recently been widened, but in the dream it was just a 2 lane road curving through the desert. I come to a place on the road where they are doing some road construction. It looks more like road destruction. The road is really torn up. I follow the detour for a ways and I see the entire road has been torn out, the rest of it is made up of a series of dirt tracks and detours. In the middle of all of these dirt tracks I find the place I am heading. It's a school. I go inside and sit at a desk. It turns out there is a test today that I forgot to study for. Damn… what am I going to do now? It turns out we can use resources, like books and stuff. I have my laptop. I open the computer, which is where my notes are. I am taking the test with the aid of my laptop when it starts raining… inside the classroom! The electronics in the room are all sparking and smoking. I hide my laptop under the desk where it won't get wet. But damn… this means I can't use the computer for the test… I'll flunk for sure. I continue trying to write on wet paper.

      Bandits in the Trees
I am in a game of Oblivion, exploring through a forest with thick foliage. I am in sneak mode, making sure no one can see me. I know no one can see me, it's as if I can see the eye icon in my mind… and I see that it is faint, indicating that I am not being seen by anyone. I sneak through the foliage until I spot a couple of bandits in a clearing beside a tent. They are sorting through a couple bags of what I know are stolen goods. I take aim with my bow and an arrow, and I get sneak attack bonus damage on the first of the bandits. Of course now they both attack me. One of them attacks with a bow and arrow, the other comes at me with a sword. I use my shield to block an arrow coming my way and attack the bandit coming at me with a sword. After a short fight I win at which point I throw a few fireballs at the archer, who is still attacking me. Soon he is toast. I collect the loot off of the fallen bandits and search the camp for more loot. I find some gold and other assorted loot. I then continue sneaking through the trees until I find a ladder going up a large tree very close by. I start climbing the ladder into the upper branches of the tree. Someone is calling to me from down below. I look down, and there is a man down there calling to me that I am crazy to be climbing this tree. He says I am a sitting duck up there if one of the bandits spots me. I ignore the warning and continue. I swing along horizontal ladder rungs that are running under one of the horizontal branches, then climb more when that branch turns up. I enter a tree house at the top of that branch, and it is quite a tree house. I start searching through the place, and taking whatever I decide is useful or of value. It is the bandit's hideout, after all, it's ok to be stealing from bandits.
    2. 11/08/10 Tower of Illusion

by , 11-13-2010 at 06:17 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: MoSh and I are starting a new plan to increase his lucidity and recall, and hopefully make mine more consistent as well, and it involves MoSh and me sharing repeated dreams, MoSh recalls all he can, and then I fill in the blanks. Our first plan was to explore a tower in MoSh's inner world that was constructed by Walms. The tower is basically a challenge of perception, the goal to simply be to get to the top of it. This was my goal as I turned on my light / sound machine and slipped into my WILD…

I am in the yard outside MoSh's inner world home, and I see MoSh is already there, he was looking at me. I tell him that I am there to go check out the tower Walms built in there, MoSh says he is ready to go. I notice he seems to be in a hurry to get going, but I figure he is just wanting to get going before the dream possibly ends. I ask MoSh where the tower is, he points towards the forest across the street from his house, he says it's off in that direction, then he heads into the forest. I follow MoSh into the forest, and we follow a path that seems to wind around for a while. I wonder how long the trail is, and whether it might be faster to just open a portal to get to the tower. I am about to ask MoSh about that when we come out of the forest and I see the tower up ahead. It is a rather tall and creepy looking tower, it looks extremely tall. I look up and I can't see the top of it. From what I can see from the base of the tower, it has no top, it goes up forever. Well, I suppose that's the challenge, so we need to find a way to the top of the tower, a top that I'm not even sure exists.

MoSh and I look around the base of the tower, it is of a pattern of bricks that looks quite interesting, but there doesn't seem to be any sign of a door. I am thinking it would be really pathetic if we can't even find the entrance, so we continue looking around the tower. Finally MoSh finds a spot in the wall that he says looks different to him, he pokes around that for a while until he finds a particular brick and pushes on it. A bunch of the bricks shift around on their own to reveal an entrance, which MoSh proceeds through. I follow MoSh through the door, and as soon as we are inside, the bricks move on their own again and seal us inside. For just a bit the place is completely dark, but then there is illumination from an unseen source. The room is now filled with a cool blue glow, making the room look really strange. The room is cylinder shaped, though there is a ladder up the far side of the room. The ladder goes up the wall, and then it goes horizontally across the ceiling to a door in the ceiling. Well, the way to do that seemed pretty clear, climb the ladder and then swing across the horizontal ladder like monkey bars, and then deal with getting through the door. So I head over to the ladder, MoSh is right there with me, and we climb up the ladder, MoSh is right behind me. When I reach the top of the ladder, I reach and grab the first ladder rung of the horizontal part, thinking if this was my waking life, this would be really hard. As I grab the rung, however, the entire room shifts, or at least it seems to. Now the horizontal part of the ladder is going up, MoSh is climbing on the floor. Um… ok… so now I climb up towards the door, which is now in the middle of the wall, I notice MoSh looking at me strangely, then he follows me. I reach the door in the wall and reach for the doorknob. The room shifts again, so now the door is in the wall, I am standing on the ladder, and MoSh is crawling on the floor. I open the door, then MoSh and I go through the door into the next room.

I step through the wall and find myself standing on a ledge on the outside edge of a huge spherical room. I look around the room, I feel MoSh standing right behind me, both of us barely fitting on the narrow ledge. Then MoSh is pushing me forward, I am about to tell him to quit it, but I realize the door behind us is closing, and we are both pushed off the edge into the room… where I realize there is no gravity in the room, MoSh and I are sent tumbling into the middle of the room. I look back at the door just in time to see the door close flush with the wall, such that I can no longer see the door. So where were we supposed to go now? There must be an exit somewhere around there, maybe it was another hidden door in the ceiling… but where was the ceiling? I can't even tell which way is up without the aid of gravity, so I'm not sure where to look for the door. Actually, finding a door wasn't going to be a problem… doors appear all over the inside of the spherical room. They are moving, so now I feel rather like throwing up, it is definitely making me nauseous. I try to focus on one spot to keep from throwing up all over the place, and I notice that one of the doors isn't moving at all. It is stationary, not rotating, not moving, so that's the one that must be real. I float over to that door and pull it open, then I call over to MoSh, telling him I had found the exit. MoSh floats over to me and then we both go through the door.

MoSh and I enter another room like the one before, and I soon figure there is a pattern of two or more of those rooms set up connected to each other. It seems like we wander around in them for a bit, but then MoSh and I decide to attach a line to the door we entered through to make sure we aren't backtracking, so we can be sure to get through the rooms as quickly as possible. Finally MoSh and I exit through the final door into a room that has gravity and isn't moving. Now, however, the fact that the room isn't moving seems rather nauseating. I still feel like I'm going to be sick. MoSh doesn't seem to be bothered by it, however, as he starts looking around the new room.

I finally get to a point where I no longer feel like I'm going to throw up, and I look around the room MoSh and I are now in. MoSh is huge! MoSh looks like he's about ten feet tall, he is standing at the end of a hallway. He shrinks down to normal size as he comes back, then he says he found the way through here, I just need to follow him. I follow MoSh to an opening in the wall, it looked like a tiny hole from one angle, but it is clearly large enough to fit through. MoSh says there is another opening on the next level up. MoSh climbs out through the hole, I follow him. We are now on an invisible floor that is so far over MoSh's inner world that I can't even see the ground, but I know there is no way we have gone that far up… MoSh follows an invisible pathway to another hole through the wall of the tower. I follow MoSh and look around the room we have just entered. I don't even get a very good chance to look around the room before a wave of vertigo hits me so hard that I wake up.

Note: Only a couple of fragments from today, and I am running behind, so here they are.

      Final Exam
I am in the largest classroom I have ever seen, it is easily the size of a large concert hall. Instead of just seats around the room, however, the stands are lined with desks at which people are working. This is during a final exam, though it's not even a class I am taking at the time. I am sitting next to Tigress, who is taking the exam. Somehow I have a copy of all the answers from the test. The class is a completely pointless one that isn't worth the time it takes to study for the exam, so I was helping Tigress to cheat. I do that for a short time until an instructor comes over. I hide the answer key just in time before he tells me I don't belong there, so then I get up and head for the door. Just by the door there is a ladder up to the rafters of the room, so I climb up that. I expect someone to stop me, but no one does. I am now in the rafters looking down on the students taking their tests. I crawl over until I am over Tigress, and I start dropping answers down to her in small balls of paper. I don't remember how I knew what answers she needed when, but she seemed to be doing fine with that method. I hear a sound off to my left, I look and I see some guy sitting on a toilet taking a crap… um… not really what I want to see. This is sooooo wrong… When he flushes the toilet, there is no pipe under it, and a splash of water and shit falls down on several students sitting below… um… yuck… But they don't seem to notice, they keep working.

      It's a Gamble
I am in a casino of some kind, it is a bit different than most casinos I have been in . Instead of being a big room, it is a long hallway type setup, with slot machines on the sides and a couple poker tables at the end of the hall. I don't know how to play Poker so I go over to one of the slot machines and check my pocket for money… nothing. I think that means I can't gamble, so I might as well find the exit. I'm not sure where to go for that… The entire building suddenly shakes, and the slot machine beside me pays out spontaneously. I collect the money, thinking I won by earthquake. Now I have a bag of quarters and I still want to find the exit. I walk down the hall, the place shakes again, more slot machines pay off. People are gathering the quarters, I decide not to get greedy since I can't get to the money very easily. I see a sign that says exit, so I go to that and open the door. I am hit in the face with a blast of wind as I see the place is moving at a rapid rate. I look out the door and see the tracks below, the train stretching out in both directions… I am on a train! The train is a casino. I wonder if I could survive a jump if I hit the ground in a roll like they do in movies. I am considering that when someone grabs me and pulls me into the train, telling me it is going too fast to get off. I turn and see a man has pulled me in, I recognize him, but not sure. Is it MoSh? Maybe. He says the slot machines in the next car are loose, they all pay out all the time. We should go there and get some more money. I am following MoSh when I wake up.
    4. 08/17/10 Final Exam - Epic Fail

by , 09-01-2010 at 12:34 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: This is the last week before my final project at school, so my lucid dreams came to a screeching halt as did my recall, these are some of the last dreams I recall before the date of the project presentation.

I was in a car with Tigress, she was driving, and I was staring out the window at the stores we were passing. We turned into a parking lot, I knew it was the parking lot for Toys R Us, but it wasn't like any parking lot I have ever seen, it had hills all over it. The parking places were all on steep hills going either up or down, it was impossible to see the store from where we were looking for parking places. Tigress turned to park in an empty parking place, and stopped just in time to avoid a black SUV who decided to pull all the way through from the next aisle to our row. With a brief expletive, Tigress pulled back into the main aisle and continued looking for a parking place until she finally saw another one. We pulled all the way into the empty parking place, at the same time a yellow pickup pulled into the place across from us, but I noticed there was no room for me to get out. Tigress backed up to straighten out in the parking place, and as soon as she backed up, the yellow pickup truck pulled forward and took our place! What an asshole! There were more expletives from Tigress now as she backed up and looked for another place, finally finding one and managing to park in this one before anyone stole it.

Tigress and I went into the Toys R Us store, I immediately looked around for electronic keyboards, I knew exactly what I was looking for. There was a small kiosk in the back of the store that had a sign announcing they had quality used merchandise for low prices, I thought it was strange that Toys R Us allowed them to set up there, but I figured it didn't really matter if they had what I wanted. I went back towards their booth, and as I was approaching, I saw an awesome looking electronic keyboard on one of their shelves.

I saw a price tag under the keyboard that said $298.95, and I thought that for that kind of keyboard it was an amazingly low price. Of course it was used, but if most of it still worked, I definitely wanted to get that keyboard. I looked over at Tigress and pointed at the keyboard, then I looked back at the keyboard. I must have misread the price… it was $756.95… shit. There was no way I could afford that, no matter how cool the keyboard was. I was going to have to pass it to get to the Toys R Us instrument aisle, and as I got closer I saw I had yet again misread the price… it was only $75.95… WOW! But then I looked, and the keyboard was different, now it was a cheap looking piece of crap that looked like it didn't even have different sound choices… There was no way I was even going to pay $75.95 for that thing which wouldn't do what I needed it to do anyway, so I followed Tigress farther into Toys R Us.

Tigress and I looked around the store a bit longer until we realized it was late and we had to get to class, so we had to leave without finding any more keyboards. We drove to school, it was similar to ITT Tech, but it was in a different place, and I realized Tigress and both had two classes, but only one was together. We went to our separate classes, they were boring, so Tigress and I were chatting on Skype… until suddenly she stopped responding. I wondered if she was mad at me about something… I didn't know what I could have said. There was a short break, during which I could not find Tigress, and then the class we had together. Upon arriving at that class, Tigress sat on the opposite side of the room, which I thought confirmed she was mad since there was an open seat right beside me. We spent the first part of that class reviewing for a final exam, though I didn't pay much attention to that since I was wondering why Tigress might be mad at me.

There was another short break, then back to the same class, now to take the exam. I returned to class, and it looked like Tigress was going to avoid me again, but then she dragged a desk closer to me, pushed another desk out of the way, and sat beside me after all. Apparently she had just preferred the desk she brought for some reason. I asked if she was mad at me, she said no, there was someone she'd had to talk to over there. The instructor passed out the tests and we began. I found I had no pen or pencil, the instructor wouldn't let me ask Tigress for one… I finally found a marker, so I was trying to do the test in marker. Between the fact I didn't study and the marker was rather messy I was making a huge mess of the test answer sheet, and it was getting really frustrating. The instructor said we had ten minutes left, I was on the verge of a panic. I told her I needed more time, I told her I've been having a lot of problems with depression and the test was harder for me because of it, so can't we make an exception? She said no, she didn't care if I was fighting with depression, the test was due in… eight minutes now. I was so angry that my hand clenched hard enough to break the marker and spill ink all over the answer sheet, Tigress was saying something in a soothing tone, apparently trying to calm me down, but I would not be calmed.

"Why do you have to be such a fucking bitch?" I yelled at the instructor, causing the other students to look up in surprise, "Well fuck this test! And fuck this class! And fuck you, you fucking bitch! Fuck you!" The instructor had only enough time to look over at me with a shocked look on her face before I woke.
