Last night, bed around 1-2 am. Woke up 7:50am and got up with intent to WILD soon.

Layed down on sofa around 10am to WILD. Of course, that's like an invitation to my cats to come and lay down on me. If I just lay down to watch the tv, I can call them, but they don't come. For some reason, they know when I'm WILDing and that's like a catnip. One cat found a comfy spot at my feet, and I could still feel her, every time she stirred. The other one, the chest-cat, jumped off after maybe 20 min, just as I was getting relaxed. Good things, as I was able to continue with a WILD.

Matra was "I'm dreaming", later switched to "When I see, I get up" and Later yet "I see, i get up". This has worked for me in the past and I knew it will work today.

I kept giving into the dreamlets, dipping down below into sleep, only to wake up slightly just seconds later. Next thing I know, I exclaim "I see!" I'm on a bed and I realize I'm dreaming. I get up, and take a look around. I'm in my childhood bedroom. I make a decision not to rush, but also not to worry about stabilizing, because I remember OpheliaBlue saying, that if you worry about stabilizing, then you have already lost.

So I just KNEW, that I'm gonna be ok without stabilizing. I took in the sights. Dark yellow light from setting sun was permeating the room. I made a consious decision to not just throw myself out the nearest window as I normally do. I wanted to walk outside using the doors. So I went through a few doors, each time with bit of trepidation if the door know will work and if I find behind the door what's suppose to be there. But I also KNEW, that doorknobs will work.

I walk throught the front door and as soon as I do, I can smell the dusty, summer air and my bare feet are getting almost burned by hot asphalt pavement. I take a right around the house and continue on the sidewalk. There are 2 new buildings. I can see through the windows, they are some kind of a gift shop or visitors center. I take a few steps back to check out the large letter/number designations on the front of the building. I want to remember them, so if they build them in the future IWL, I will know that's what i saw.

    Here I lose it.

I'm in a bed again. Not my room from WL, but in the dream, it's my room. I remember I wanted to look back and see myself laying in the bed. I look back and bed is empty. I look again, trying to trick my mind into showing someone there, but no luck. Bed is empty.

I make a decision to walk through doors again. I'm hoping this time, door will take me to some exotic place. I walk through a few of them, and last one takes me to my childhood room from WL and from previous LD. This makes me laugh histerically. Haha, my room=exotic place. Nice one, subcon.

I'm on a sidewalk in a strange city. Not too modern. Looks like a pedestrian zone. I realize I don't have a plan and don't want to just walk around aimlesly. So... I grab the first guy and drag him into the small shop. It's tiny. Just a panel with some merchandise behind it, a clerk, and space for 5 people tops.

So I stand this guy int he corner of the panel and the front door. I Know I don't have much time left. I pull his pants down, I pull my pants down and I give him a BJ. While I do that, I observe some dust and a fly on the pult to not forget I'm dreaming and I keep repeating "I am dreaming" to keep aware. Too bad though, because soon after i wake up. Maybe new policy is in order. Me first, BJ next?

Not sure if they were WILDs or DILDs. First one felt like a WILD, but others... Didn't get any transition at all. Both times I just realized that "I see". Either way - THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU and LOVE YA

And I'm happy, that I was walking and NOT flying. Finally.

When you LD, you really LD!! Awesome job with the triple. This was almost like a 2-2.5 hour WBTB.

Very nicely handled at the beginning, soaking in the detail without wasting any time fretting about whether the dream was going to be okay. I know that this is way easier said than done, so kudos for getting it right when the time came.

And of course, congrats on remembering not to go flying out the window yelling "Wheeee" the moment lucidity hits. This is still what I feel like doing a lot of the time myself.

      Nice! Congrats on the lds!

I really liked the smell of dusty air and the feel of hot asphalt. So cool!

To what were you referring to when you said, "if you worry about stabilizing, you have already lost"? I was under the impression that the first thing to do when lucidity is gained is to stabilize the dream by immersing your senses in the dream by rubbing your hands, smelling stuff, spinning and etc. I ask because I have had several experiences where I count my fingers in a dream, I vaguely become lucid and then its like my subconscious itself tries to stabilize whilst I almost spazz out with excitement and. then. FAIL! You mentioned that OpheliaBlue says this? Would you mind pointing me in the right direction good madam?

      Thank you all!

@CanisLucidus - yup, 1-3 hrs WBTB, which I call morning nap, is standard for me. I have tried to WILD even after longer, like 4 hrs. But after 5, the success rate dips rather sharply. It could also be a mental barrier I set up for myself. But I prefer to WILD 1-3 hr after waking up in the morning. For this, I get up whenever I feel, but trying to get up 1-2 hrs before my normal waking tme would be.

Yeah, the "walk, don't fly" - I used to have it as a WILDing mantra as well. I believe my LDs are more stable when walking. But I shouldn't say "I believe", because I don't want to limit myself.

@NyxCC - yes, the heat of the asphalt took me by surprise, and the smell of the air took me to summer in my hometown. Smell is one of the strongest senses, that can remind you of something. It was pretty cool.

@Eternal - True, first thing to do upon entering LD should be stabilization. But it should be done calmly, as a part of the plan. Looking and feeling something, that's always there, like you hands and body, and the ground. Smell the air, touch nearby wall...

But, most of my LDs are super short, so I was always in a "hurry to stabilize, or my dream will end". And I think this hurt me more than if I stayed calm, and didn't stabilize. Because the problem is not the stabilizing/not stabilizing. Problem is, when I worry about it. When I make myself believe, that if I don't stabilize, I will fail. If you believe that your dream will be long and stable, and if they are that way, there may not be a need for you to stabilize in any special manner. All you need to do is take it easy untill you feel fully inside of the dream.

And I believe, I have heard OpheliaBlue say that in one of the DV podcasts. But she has many years of experience LDing, and since every individual is different, it may work differently for you. DreamViews Podcast You can listen to the podcasts here. They are really great for info, and also inspiration. There is also a thread, where you can ask a question and it will be answered in the next podcast.

      Happy dreams y'all.
