    1. Weird Sleep

      by , 07-22-2010 at 07:11 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I forgot to mention this in my other entry, but last night was probably ranked pretty high on my imaginary "List of Weird Nights." I woke up pretty much every hour starting at midnight, and each time I was convinced that I was a priestess from some kind of cult or coven. I would then proceed to roll and tumble around on my bed for a few minutes before drifting back to sleep. Also, though I'm pretty sure there was no third person view, I seem to have had long blue hair.

    2. Bad Karma

      by , 07-22-2010 at 06:11 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      7/22/10

I finally had a fun dream!

      1- Bad Karma

My family and I are witches. I seem to be an odd combination between Phoebe from Charmed, Hermione, and myself. And I'm in a world of trouble. The previous night, I had snuck into a graveyard and eaten the heart of a demon who was imprisoned there. This act would give me unimaginable power, but only if I am able to vanquish the demon on the following night.

All day long, I'm a nervous wreck. My father is the first to notice my strange behavior, but I refuse to tell him what's wrong. That evening, my mom is driving us all to the movies. My dad tells her how odd I've been acting, and she asks if there's anything I need to tell her. "Nope, nothing." She definitely doesn't need to know what I've been up to.

"She's lying!" my brother pipes up from the back seat. "She's activated my lie detector! Only... it says that she's just used a rehearsed apology."

When we get out of the car, I take my wand out of my mom's purse without anyone noticing and slip it into my back pocket. (There had been something earlier in the dream about how we were all grounded from our wands for misuse of our magic.)

      *lapse in time*

We are now back from the movies; the sun has set. I am not surprised to see the demon waiting for me as I enter my room. It is tall, with the body of a human, the face of an ogre, and the wings of a dragon. It's skin is literally on fire, burning with bright orange flames. All useful spells suddenly flee from my mind as the creature begins its attack. "Alohamora!" I screech, before remembering that that's an unlocking spell.

None of my family members will help me. My brother is sleeping and does not wish to be disturbed. My parents have found out why the demon is after me, and say that it's my punishment to fight it alone. But none of my spells are working! In the end, I set a trap and crush the demon to death under a ton of heavy items.
    3. Weird Things

      by , 07-20-2010 at 04:25 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      More recall! ^^

      1- Scare Tactics
I am looking through my closet, when I see a twisted parody of my skeleton mask. It is solid black, with glowing red eyes, and it's laughing at me evilly. In response, I stick my tongue out at it and make a funny noise. "What was that all about?" My friend asks me.

      "Oh, nothing."

      2- The Observatory
While walking down a desolate country road, my mom notices a strange blue star. "It must be a satellite," I tell her. Just then, the "star" falls from the sky and nearly hits me in the head. I barely manage to leap out of the way.

Well, it's definitely no satellite. It appears to be several blue, shiny balls stuck together, surrounded by a rotating disk.

Upon hearing a strange noise, we climb the bank on the opposite side of the road and discover what appears to be a giant telescope among some official looking vehicles. Apparently we've stumbled upon one of NASA's secret observatories.

      3- Bike Ride to Weirdness
Riding down the road on my bike, I have to go through all kinds of weird obstacles that shouldn't be there. (Giant spider webs, creepy tunnels, trees in the middle of the road...) Eventually, I come upon a strange place that sends shivers down my spine. I can tell that this really isn't the best part of the neighborhood.

Suddenly I am no longer myself, but a male detective in my early forties. I am interrogating some creepy people (along with John, my partner), suspecting that they are up to no good. One of them is holding a demon possessed monkey, which she claims is her son. The people are cordial for a few minutes, but when we ask about the murders that have occurred recently, they flip out and set their "son" on us.

We flee to John's house, where his mother tells us she will take care of everything. She has a talk with the monkey's "mother," who says that her son is really a sweet kid. She goes on to say that her (John's mother's) son is a terrible hoodlum with no manners.

    4. I Have Returned

      by , 07-18-2010 at 09:21 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I've had the most horrible recall of my whole life this past week, but last night I FINALLY remembered some dreams. (My poor recall isn't the only reason for my absence. I was also somewhat obsessed with a sort of roleplaying game that I'm not even a part of.)

      7/18/10

      1- Rat-Girl
I go into our tool shed to see if I can find the mouse family my mother has told me about. Instead, I see a strange girl sitting over a group of young rats. The girl has silvery white hair and... rat ears on top of her head. WTF? My mom must be blind if she thinks these are mice.

The girl sends her "children" off to their room while she talks to me. She explains that she's not a ratgirl, but a wolfgirl. I don't believe her.

2- Searching for Food (short version, because it was rather long and pointless)
On the first day of school, the lunch room is closed. I am told that there is a table set up on "Sunny Street" where I can get my food, but by the time I get through the frustrating maze that leads to it, lunch is over.

    5. Last Night with the Amethyst Stone

      by , 07-09-2010 at 02:51 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I feel like I had some interesting dreams yesterday, but they were forgotten as soon as I woke up. Three lucids last night, though.

      1- Forgetful
I randomly become lucid, but I take a huge leap into the air just to make sure. Yeah, there's no way I'd be able to jump ten feet in real life. So... what am I supposed to do? I ponder over my goals, but for the life of me I can't remember them.

Suddenly I have a huge kite in my hand. Cool, this should be fun to fly with. Holding the kite against my back, I take a running leap and soar through the air. Suddenly, I "remember" one of my goals. I'm supposed to use this kite to fly over to visit the man who lives next door.
((Why can I never recognize false memories while I'm dreaming? Especially when they're rather absurd like that.)) I wake up shortly afterward.

      2- Snapped
I am at some weird event... There are a lot of people around who I don't know. I'm supposed to be socializing, but it's really awkward trying to make conversation.

Suddenly, my phone rings. It's my mom. I answer it, grateful to have an excuse to walk away from everyone. I notice that my phone seems to be showing everything that my mom is doing. "That's weird," I tell her, "I know my phone doesn't have video on it. How are you doing that?" Suddenly, I see my next door neighbor Dee Dee come onto the screen. She brutally kills both my mom and my dad. I get sucked into the scene, hungry for revenge.

Dee Dee doesn't realize I'm here. I stealthily sneak up behind her and knock her to the ground. Pinning her down with one foot, I use the other to slowly and painfully snap her neck. The bone juts out from the skin, and a little trickle of blood runs down from the wound. I am both disturbed and fascinated at the same time.

I randomly become lucid and go inside. I decide that it would be best if I just entered a different dream. So I lie down on the floor and close my eyes...

I immediately exit the dream and enter SP. I decide I will count this as a WILD, for lack of a better name. I wait for my body to regain feeling... and wait.... and wait... and wait. Okay, it seems like I've been paralyzed for WAY longer than usual. I'm gonna have to force it. After a bit of struggling, I finally manage to...

      3- Freefall

...pry myself out of my body. I do an RC just to make sure, but I know I'm dreaming. Unfortunately, the previous dream must have still been on my mind. I realize that I am once again at the scene of the murder. And guess who's not dead?

I decide not to fight this time. I take off on all fours into the woods, bounding at high speed. This is much easier than running on two legs... I briefly consider morphing into a wolf, but I get distracted. Hm, it seems like I'm getting really tired. But I'm dreaming, there's no need for me to stop. My body says otherwise. I am simply too tired to run anymore. I begin to speculate. Maybe it's my energy body getting tired, then.

Somewhere along the line, I forget I'm dreaming. I am no longer myself, either. I seem to be a man in my late 30's, being chased by the evil kid from Sharkboy and Lavagirl. Idk what his name is IRL, but in the dream it's Clyde.

I have already killed Clyde multiple times, but he always finds a way to come back. He says he learned the ability to regenerate from the Planet of the Starfish.

I am in a futuristic city, looking at this weird robot dancing in the middle of the street. Her whole body is made of metal, but her head is that of a human. "Wow, that looks like a real head," I tell the girl I'm traveling with. She begins to tell me what model the robot is, and explains how hi-tech it is. She uses a lot of strange words, though, and I don't have a clue what she means.

Suddenly, the robot starts trying to kill me. Turns out that it's Clyde in another one of his disguises.

In my effort to escape Clyde, I end up on the side of a bridge, lucid again. I'm really high up... seems like it would be fun to jump off.

It's not. I'm halfway to the ground before my vision catches up with my body, and when it does I have that terrible falling sensation in the pit of my stomach. This can be enjoyable in small doses, but I am just SO HIGH that the fall seems endless. Finally it jolts me into a false awakening.

    6. Freddy Krueger, Lucidity, and Cloning

      by , 07-07-2010 at 12:15 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
So, I've been doing this experiment with different stones and their effects on dreaming. For three nights I slept with malachite under my pillow, and my recall seemed amazing. (Though my dreams were not as disturbing/exciting as usual.) I was going to try tiger's eye for three nights as well, but after those two nights with extremely horrible recall, I decided to give that one up. Last night was night one with Amethyst, and I must say that I am pleased!

      1- Reverse Nightmare
I am on a dangerous island with my family and some other people. Those who travel alone are stupid, and if they get killed it's their own fault. I feel no pity for them.

There is no limit to the perils of this place: cannibals, deadly creatures, turbulent water... And yet, I'm feeling right at home! A trail of rocks goes far out into the water; I deftly run across them, quick as lightning, knowing that if I take one wrong step I'll be plummeting to my death.

My mom follows me, albeit not as quickly. She says that in order to get off the island, we first have to make it through Krueger's labyrinth. "Freddy Krueger's here!?" I ask excitedly. My mom gives me a weird look; obviously this is not a typical reaction. I don't care. Excitement courses through my veins as we all head toward the labyrinth. "Remember," I tell them, "Don't show fear. You can't really die here. Freddy may cut you to shreds, but after its over you'll come back in one piece."

We enter the labyrinth as I am saying this. As soon as the words come out of my mouth, Freddy's clawed hand has slashed all the way through my dad. "Damn, I died," he mutters, falling to the floor in a pool of blood. Krueger is standing there, smirking.

I laugh. "You really don't know who you're dealing with, Krueger." As always, my lack of fear begins to absorb his energy. And as always, he runs like the coward he is. Grinning, I follow him. "Shelby's right," I think to myself, "If I was ever in a horror movie, I'd be the first to die, 'cause I'd chase after the evil thing." Just as I am closing in on my prey, wondering if I should rip his head off again or try something different, something changes.

      No longer in the maze;
spontaneous lucidity. For some reason I feel that my energy has been screwed with, that I need to be healed. I know Raven Knight heals people sometimes. Maybe if I could summon her... I lost my train of thought as a mirror comes into view. Yeah, I'm supposed to be looking for Samael. I'll just use this as a portal. My thoughts are weird though, and I can't focus as I try to scry his location in the mirror. My reflection goes all weird for a second, taking on the form of a demon. Oh great, this again. I briefly look away, then look back. Good, my reflection is back to normal.

Come to think of it, this would be a good time to try the task of the month. I reach into the mirror and pull my reflection out. She sprawls out on the floor, limp and lifeless. Annoyed, I prop her against the wall and look into the mirror again, at my new reflection. Before I can pull her out as well, my other one falls over in my lap. "Ew, she's drooling," I mutter, sitting her up against the wall again. A girl is standing behind me; she's been with me for a while, but I can't remember who she is. Raven Knight, perhaps? Possibly Tamora. She tells me to stop fooling around; that it's obvious I have to give the reflection some life force before it responds.

"Oh, of course." I put my hand on my clone's head and say, "I give you life." Suddenly, her once glazed over eyes become alert. She can now sit up without having to lean up against the wall. "Yay, it worked!" Now I reach into the mirror and pull out my new reflection, this time giving her life before she's even fully out of the mirror. That's two clones, that should be enough to satisfy the requirements.

As we walk away, the girl who is with me suggests that we go back to Freddy's labyrinth. "No, my powers don't work in labyrinths for some reason," I say vaguely. ((Um, what?)) We are going to a particular place, but where it is escapes my memory. I notice that my former reflections have stopped being clones. In fact, one of them has turned into a bald old man.
    7. Still No Recall

      by , 07-06-2010 at 12:46 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
ANOTHER night of terrible recall. It took me half an hour just to drag out of my mind the memory of not getting my summer homework done in time. There was also something about tearing a little creature figurine (a life-like one, with blood) apart with a small hook.

I remember a failed DEILD attempt, also. I made it into full SP, and I was thinking that I'd surely remember a lucid if I had one. Then it suddenly started feeling like a creature was attempting to claw its way out of my stomach. I knew it wasn't real, but it felt freaky as hell! I couldn't move, I couldn't struggle against the SP. I managed to stay calm, though. I lost consciousness shortly afterwards.

    8. No Recall

      by , 07-05-2010 at 03:20 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Not really sure what happened to my recall last night. I woke up about 3:30 for WBTB, but the only dreams I remembered were vague flashes about summoning demons. Then I attempted to WILD and was out like a light until 5:00. Still no recall at that point, so I put my sleep mask on and went back to sleep for about 4 more hours. I had a few dreams, but the details are too vague to write down

    9. When Things Go Wrong

      by , 07-04-2010 at 03:37 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1- Gross
((I'm not going to describe the events that led up to my lucidity. Believe me, you don't want to hear it. I'll just say that it involves tonsil stones.)) I look in the mirror and decide that I'd better RC for good measure, because this is NOT normal. To my relief, I am dreaming. All I remember is going out in my backyard...

      2- Hitler's Reincarnation
A man who is the spitting image of Hitler is doing some experiments on a dreamstone. He is progressively getting crazier and crazier. There are some people that he has locked up, and he is talking to one of them. "I wonder how the stone will react," he murmurs, "when it absorbs all the negative energies from your massacre!" He opens the gates, and the prisoners flood out. Men on horseback come, slaughtering every one of them.

      3- DEILD attempt

I am trying to DEILD, but I don't realize that I'm already dreaming. It's too late to even call it a DEILD anyway, 'cause I've already opened my eyes. I am looking at my reflection in a mirror above my bed. She is gesturing for me to come closer. I refuse, telling HER to come closer. She walks out the mirror door, subsequently walking IN my real door. Cool, now there's two of me! ((I'm semi-lucid at this point.)) My reflection doesn't seem to like me that much, but I don't care. I try to think of something interesting we can do, when...

      4- Wild Chase
Chris calls me, and I "wake up."

"What is it!?" I yell from my bed.

      "Come here!"

He hands me two cookies wrapped up in a piece of paper. He tells me I have to take them to Nathaniel. "Why can't Steven do that?" I ask irritably. "It's his friend." But I go out to the car anyway. For some reason, Jordan's there, and he's in the driver's seat. What's the point of me even going?

We start off down the road. From the talking in the back seat, I conclude that Tony, Eve, Charles, and my brother are with us as well. Why are THEY here?

Jordan is swerving all over the road, and I yell at him to get in his lane. "I can't! I'll hit the pigeons!"

"How can you even see any pigeons!? You don't have your lights on!" While he's trying to find the lights, he swerves off the road and nearly crashes. We come to an abrupt halt. Charlie runs out of the car and pukes all over the road. When he gets back in, I'm about to tell Jordan to let me drive, but he takes off at an alarming speed.

"Slow down, you idiot!!!" Now the cops are chasing us. They're shooting! He manages to get away, and I force him to stop the car. "I'm driving!" I fume angrily. He doesn't argue.

I have another run-in with the cops, but I'm driving a hell of a lot better than Jordan was. They're only chasing me because of his stupidity... But using my new-found super driving skills, I easily evade them. Steven tells me we have to stop at McDonald's to get his friend's burger.

Somehow, I'm on a motorcycle now, and everyone else is just walking around me as I pull up to the drive through. After ordering, I realize that we must have left those cookies in the car...

Conclusion: Samael is right. DC's should never be allowed to drive.

    10. All Charged Up

      by , 07-03-2010 at 01:05 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Didn't feel like WBTB since my dreams were too interesting. I managed to re-enter it multiple times, but my memory is still pretty vague...

      1 through 4- Witchling
There are several strange kids who keep popping up; they all have Finnish accents and dress very unusually. While I am trying to solve the mystery of who they are, I realize that the true mystery is who I am. They tell me that I'm a witch, that I just haven't discovered how to use my powers yet. (I also seem to be Tamora, one of my characters... Or rather, she is me. Confusing...) We end up in a mystical stone shop with my school, and the owner is giving out seashells. Everyone else gets a really pretty shell, but I get one that's faded and dull.

As I sit down, I think to myself, "I wish I had a better shell." Before my eyes, my seashell is transformed into a beautiful rainbow-colored pearl. In the back of my mind, I (as Hazel) think to Tamora, "You idiot... Don't you know that that pearl belongs to someone else? You can't just steal things like that."

I hear the shopkeeper mutter, "What a selfish way for a witch to use magic."

A man who I had spoken to before walks up to me. "So, you figured it out. The secret to magic lies within thought." I am then told about a secret order of magic users in a different dimension. The man tells me that I must go there to fulfill my destiny.

      *lapse in memory*

I have been transported to the other dimension. Unfortunately, things aren't quite what I expected. (They rarely are.) I am kidnapped my the crazy matron of an orphanage and become little more than a slave.

Poor little Ellie does something to piss off the matron, and she is forced into exile from the other kids. (I say "kids," but none of us are younger than 16 or 17.) She's not even allowed in the building; all she does is wander the grounds like a lost puppy.

Alex, the leader of anything rebellious that goes on within the orphanage, sneaks Ellie into one of the courtyards and hides her.

      *lapse in memory*

Alex and I are walking around; he's stirring up trouble, as always. We get caught by one of the guards (who is on our side, so its not like he really cares.) He asks us to help him with extermination. He wants us to help him kill the squirrels and cockroaches that keep getting in through the roof. Bashing squirrels over the head isn't going to help my bloodlust any, I think, But it sure sounds like fun.((Note: Tamora is very morbid.)) To my disappointment, we're supposed to use poison. Ugh, how boring...

I sneak away, and while I am inside I hear strange noises. Sounds like Alex... Suddenly the power goes out. Great, what did he do this time? I find him on the roof, looking ecstatic. I can see immediately what he had done; Alex has the gift of absorbing electricity, and he used it to take all the power out of the school. (He had to plug himself into an outlet, though.)

I laugh. "You're going to be in HUGE trouble when the matron finds out about this."

"She can't stop me now! I have too much power!"

I hear school security pulling up. "I'm getting out of here. I refuse to take the blame for you... again."

    11. Chain of DEILDs

      by , 07-02-2010 at 01:24 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
It took me ages to get back to sleep after WBTB, but it was well worth it!

      1- Stuck
I am stranded in the middle of the river. This has the potential to not end well... I text both of my parents to let them know where I am, then I text my boss, saying "I might not make it to work tomorrow morning, because I'm stranded in the middle of the river."

I make it out sooner than expected. About an hour later I realize that I have failed to inform my boss of my safety. When I get out my phone, I see that I have a reply from him. It reads, "Your text nearly broke my heart..." Um, okay. It wasn't really that big of a deal...

      2- Poodle
I am at the doctor's office, and I notice a poodle walking around. One of the doctors reaches down and pets it, then walks into a different room. Isn't that unsanitary??? I don't normally like poodles, but this one is very friendly. It has a weird habit of chewing on my hand when I pet it, though, just like my RL dog.

      3- Talking Squirrels
I walk up to a cage that contains two squirrels. They are arguing over which kind of nut tastes the best: walnuts or pecans. (I vaguely notice a decapitated parrot next to the cage, but for some reason this is never an issue.) What a silly thing to argue about, I think to myself. Maybe if I give them an acorn, they'll agree that it's way better than both of the others. I pick up an acorn off the ground, but before I can even stand back up, an invisible squirrel runs up and steals it from me.

      4- Tree Frog
I find an unusual (and extremely cute) tree frog near the stepping stones of my house. As I pick it up, I instantly remember the squirrel dream I had. I make a mental note to write it down later, then start looking for a safe place to put my frog.

      5- Showing Off (DEILD)
I feel myself exit SP, but it's still a struggle to open my eyes. RC just to be sure, but I know I'm dreaming. I get up and look around. Everything about my room is as it should be, except for the graffiti-like markings on my ceiling. Interested, I try to read what it says. Basically a fancy to-do list: Wash room, clean laundry, etc. Hm, that sounds sort of backwards.

I walk out and run into my brother. "Hey, wanna see something cool?" I ask him. ((IDK why, but I've always felt the need to show off my abilities to any nearby DCs.)) I stick my hand through the window; the glass melts around my arm, as if liquid. I go all the way through to the outside. "Ha, that's much more fun than using the door!"

Now, time to look for Samael. I walk to the road and call out, noticing that my voice is echoing again. Wonder why it hasn't done that before? ((My problem is that I'm too focused on my voice to pay attention to what's supposed to happen. ))
      I abruptly wake up.

6- No More Messing Around (DEILD)
I re-enter the dream and decide to be serious this time. Before I make it out of the house, Chris stops me and says I need to get to work on my to-do list. He mentions something about sending a hammer fist into my leg if I don't get it done when I wake up. "Uh, yeah, whatever," I say, walking out. I hope he doesn't turn out to be one of those DCs who hinders me throughout the entire dream...

I walk down the road, thinking about the best method for summoning Samael. I notice that I have gone a bit past Shelby and Taylor's house (which is bright green this time), and I decide to count how many houses are beside theirs to add to my dream map. There's two actual houses, but the second one has three separate buildings to it: The main house, a rather large dog house (or possibly a play house for kids), and a beautiful building made of cobblestone. I walk through their yard, examining things. I vaguely think about trespassing, but it's not like it really matters if I'm caught. This is a beautiful place, I am constantly amazed by my mind's ability to come up with all these little details.
      I wake up.

      7- Portals and Mirrors
I chain back into the dream, but something distracts me and I believe myself to be awake. When I make it to the living room, Chris is there waiting for me. "Remember our deal? You haven't finished your to-do list yet."

"Wait, what? How can you possibly remember that, I was dreaming when you... Wait." I RC and become lucid. "Yay! You made me lucid!" Ignoring whatever he is saying, I go through the window once more and continue my search for Samael. Calling out doesn't seem to be working ((because I wasn't doing it right)) so maybe I can summon a portal. I think about it, and one starts to rise up from the ground. It looks like a large round shadow at first, then it slowly turns more tangible, and then... puffs out of existence.

Oh well, portals have never been my forte. Maybe a mirror would be more useful. I remember one of my first LDs where I used a mirror to travel to outer space. This may be my best chance.

I look around and spot an empty car in the middle of the road. Perfect. I use the rearview mirror and say, "Show me where Samael is. I need to see Samael." A figure starts to appear in the mirror, but then I notice cars coming up behind me. I think getting run over would seriously hurt my chances of success, so I use super strength and push the car out of the middle of the road. Who would park a car in the middle of the road in the first place?

Before I can return my attention to the mirror, I notice two people on motorcycles driving by. On the red bike is a lady with short black hair; on the green bike is a man who looks a lot like... Lucifer. "Hey, wait!" I yell out excitedly, but the noise of their bikes is too loud, they can't hear me. In a split second, they are gone.

More distractions; Now there are a lot of people around, and my brother and his friends are throwing things at me. I ignore this. "Hey, do you know of anyone around here who calls themself Samael or Jack?"

"My last name is Jack," says the boy standing next to my brother.

I sigh. "Well, if you happen to find him, let me know."
      The dream ends.

      IWL
I'd better get up and write this down, before I forget... but my body feels so heavy. I'm still being affected by the SP. I manage to sit up ((which probably never really happened, most likely HI)), then fall back over and go back to sleep.

8- One of those WTF moments

There is a guy lying in his bed, talking to someone about a dream he just had about them. I think he's talking to me, until I hear him say, "At least you let me touch you this time." Okay, that definitely didn't happen in any of the dreams I just had. Who is he talking to?

My vision shifts a bit. I can now see that he is talking to a poster on his wall. The poster is of two male cartoon characters, sleeping together. Or rather, one is asleep, and the other one is talking to the guy. He says something, and the guy laughs. Doesn't he realize that he's still dreaming? I wonder. Does he honestly believe that his poster would be talking to him?

"Good night, boys," the man says to the poster, then turns out the light and goes back to sleep.
    12. Vampires, and the First Lucid of the Month

      by , 07-01-2010 at 02:44 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      7/1/10

Woah, it's July first? That means I had my first lucid of the month! ^^

      1- Holly the Hypnotic Vampire
I am a woman named Felicity, trapped in a room along with my friends by the evil vampire, Holly. We've been there for quite a while... We're starving to death, and so, so thirsty.

"I'm REALLY thirsty, Felicity. We gotta get outta here."

      "I know, Frank, I know."

Suddenly something within him changes. He starts babbling about how he can feel the life energy flowing through him. Soon the others do the same. I seem to be the only one unaffected by this madness. Don't they realize the life energy isn't flowing through them? It's flowing out of them! They're becoming vampires!

I try to tell them to fight it, to resist what Holly has done to them, but she is fighting me every step of the way. She tells them that I am no longer worthy to be their leader, that they should listen to her, instead.

"Who should we believe?" Theresa asks, confused.

"The one you love the most," Holly answers in a hypnotic voice. "Who do you really love?"

Theresa considers this for a moment. "Holly," she answers.

      "Holly," the others echo.

I give Theresa a dirty look. "Oh, and... uh, what is her name...? Felicity," she amends half-heartedly.

Ugh, she almost forgot my name. I think it's safe to say they're a lost cause.

"Are we always going to be this pale?" I ask Holly in annoyance. "I mean, can't vampires get a tan?" She ignores me.

      2- Evil Sleep Mask
My dad's girlfriend has a cute pet rat named Jenny. She is sitting on her shoulder, and doing funny things to make us laugh. Hm, I need to play with my rats more often.

I "wake up" and find that I am alone. I wonder where everyone went... Oh, well, maybe I can play with Jenny. When I go over to the cage, I see that it is now the size of a cage at the zoo. As if that wasn't weird enough, there are all kinds of unusual animals within... Several of them look like giant, carnivorous sloths, and one looks like the mammal version of an alligator. All of the animals are trying to eat each other. There are a few small monkeys in the cage, too. They come up to the bars, quivering in fear, giving me a pleading look. "Aww, hey little guys! You're so cuuute!" This is obviously a dream. I RC and become lucid. Yay!

Time to look for Samael. I call out loudly, "Samael!!!!" My voice sounds cool; it echoes throughout the dream world. The thought of those monkeys distracts me for a moment... Maybe I could make on of them my familiar, since I'm looking for one. No, one thing at a time. I call out again. I have somehow arrived at a dark and abandoned country road.

Now my eyes are trying to close themselves. Ugh, it's the stupid sleep mask I'm wearing IRL. I take it off, which works for a few seconds before it reappears on my face. I can see through it, but it's making my eyes close... When they do
      I wake up.

    13. Hazy Recall

      by , 06-30-2010 at 04:27 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I was lazy again, and didn't take any notes during the night...

      1- Zombie Girlfriend
My friend is feeling really down, missing his deceased girlfriend. I decide that this is as good a time as any to practice Necromancy.

The scene changes. I am her, buried deep underground, cold and dead. Suddenly I am alive again. I can't breathe.... there's too much dirt... I struggle to the surface.

The scene changes again. Somehow, I have a bad feeling about this. I must get to her grave before she causes any trouble...
((Not really sure what happens. I vaguely remember being semi-lucid, stuck in one of those continuing dream-loops.))

    14. Adrenaline High

      by , 06-28-2010 at 04:57 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I didn't post yesterday due to some really terrible recall, but today the problems seems to be fixed!

      1- Bravery
Dark forces are gathering; they will strike tonight. For unknown reasons, I seem to be their main target. Oh well. I won't be going down without a fight. My only two allies on this hellish night are my dad and my brother. I don't bother telling them that this is a suicide mission, they'll figure it out soon enough.

I hear helicopters overhead as I walk out the back door. That blasted goblin is already at it... the sun isn't even down yet. "I doubt I'll be getting ANY sleep tonight," I mutter to my dad as we crouch down under the deck, out of sight of the helicopters. I realize that a fight is imminent; I can only hope that I fight as well as I do in my dreams. Because this is real, and I won't be coming back if I should fail. ((Ummmm..... ))

I have armed myself with an axe somewhere along the line, and as I'm waiting I mutter to myself, "My axe is my buddy/ I never leave without him/ Me and my axe/ Will turn your neck to a bloody fountain." The words make me feel stronger, less afraid of what is to come. ((Note: I've never listened to ICP in my life. I just happen to know those few words. Thanks, Z. ))

I hear rustling in the trees. It must be the goblin or one of his cronies. "I'm going to go check it out," I whisper to my dad, sneaking off toward the noise. As I reach the trees, a feral dog leaps from the shadows, hitting me with such force that my axe goes flying. By some miracle, I manage to keep my balance. But now I'm weaponless. "Hurry UP!" I yell at my dad and my brother as the dog tears at my bare arms. I can't let it get near my face...

My backup arrives, but they aren't much help. My dad is stabbing at the dog with a letter opener, but no damage is being done. I realized that it is possessed with dark energy, and its skin is impenetrable. I realize what must be done.

My dad drops the letter opener, and I quickly snatch it up and brutally stab the dog's eyes out. If anything, at least now it won't be able to see us. But to my satisfaction, I see that I have done much more than blind the once-dog. The skin around where its eyes used to be peels back, revealing the inside of it's hollowed out head. I must have released the energy possessing it, now it is a mere shell with no life force.

Thinking that I am finished, I take a step back... Only to spot an identical dog crouching in the foliage. Before it has a chance to attack, I lunge at it with the letter opener, sending two quick and powerful jabs with the letter opener into each of it's eyes. It now shares the same fate as its partner.

Now I'm angry. Those dogs didn't deserve such cruelty. How dare he use innocents for his own evil desires? I will make him pay dearly.

I remember now that there is an object in my possession that neither the goblin nor his cronies can touch. I think about fusing this with water. If I put such a combination in a squirt gun, they couldn't come within 5 feet of me without having their skin boiled off. It would be perfect!
      ((Unfortunately, I wake up.))

      2- Post Apocalyptic
The world has ended, and somehow it is all my fault. I am wanted throughout the world for my crimes; everywhere I go, I am chased down by both the police and by regular people hoping to get rewarded with my capture. I finally find a nice couple who will shelter me, and discover that my brother is also staying with them. Something seems a bit... off, though. Despite their kindness, I don't trust the couple at all.

Even though they tell me otherwise, I believe that my parents are still alive. I go off one day to find them. This, as one would expect, didn't end well. I don't remember exactly what happened, but it involves the "nice" couple trying to kill me and my brother. I do eventually find my parents alive and well, at least.

      3- Vice President (fragment)
My mother has accepted a job to become vice president... of Europe. ((Note: I believe this fragment has some connection with why that goblin was after me, but I can't remember.))

      4- Accent (fragment)
A man says Samael's name in an incredibly sexy accent.

      1- "Da" Language
I have made a chart of some weird dream language called the "Da Language." I post it on MM, and The Cusp replies that it sounds like a dream version of Japanese. He thinks the two languages could be related. ((What's with all these dreams I have about The Cusp?)) We also get into a conversation about "swarms." We both seem to have noticed that large swarms of insects often appear in dreams, stinging the dreamer without mercy.

      2- Ignoring Lucidity
I am taking a walk through the woods with my dad. I tell him that we have to live in the woods for a week so that we can go on our Shamanic Vision Quest. He is not really on board with the idea...

Later, I am being chased by a wannabe Freddy Krueger. I am flying in the air above him, taunting and laughing. For some stupid reason, I'm trying to suppress the fact that I know I'm dreaming. The idea that this is a dream is tickling the corner of my mind, but I refuse to acknowledge it.

      3- Patience Medici
I am fighting with my fake brother over a magazine. The magazine contains an article about Patience Medici, and I tell him that I HAVE to read it because its the only non-Russian explanation I can find. My fake mother tells me to stop fighting and to go get another magazine. I wake myself up saying, "But I had it first!"
