6/25/10 Yay! I got a stripe on my belt! Anyway, for my dreams: 1- In Which Hazel Does Not Act Her Age My brother comes into my room with this old (fake) sword that he used to have. He begins knocking things off my shelf and just being a pest in general. When he doesn't stop like I tell him to, I throw a temper tantrum like a five year old. O.o After it is over, I wonder why I am acting like this... Oh, it must be a dream. I reverse time and handle the situation more maturely. 2- A Family Outing I go out to a really strange restaurant with my family. I don't trust these people, something isn't right... As predicted, the owners are up to no good. They are locking people in cages out back. Well, they certainly aren't going to get ME. The only problem is, they have some kind of strange machine that makes them not feel pain. "We'll take care of it," my parents assure me as they allow themselves to be locked up in the cage. "You act as the decoy." No problem. I take off, and the crazies are quick to give chase. Hm, if I could just run a bit faster... But no, they're still catching up to me. Time to fight. I fight like an expert, but it doesn't matter. They can't feel pain and I can. Just as I am beginning to think I will lose, the one standing in front of me suddenly crumples to the ground, crying out. "Ah, shit, they broke the machine!" I grin in triumph as my parents and my brother arrive on the scene. "Took you long enough!"
1- Bite of an Orc My parents have gone undergound, to the orcs' lair. I am waiting outside. At the sounds of a battle, I suddenly become lucid and run through the forest towards my house. "I don't want to fight orcs again," I mutter to myself. ((Um... I've never fought orcs before. Ever.)) "Besides... isn't there something I have to do?" By the time I make it to my house, I am no longer lucid. My parents come a bit later. They tell me that they won, but that the orcs bit them and now they're infected. I see that they now have green and red orc skin. "Don't worry," I say, "You'll only be HALF orc. I got bit by one a while ago, and I'm still half werewolf." 2- Tattoo I get a really ornate tattoo all over my face. The next morning, I cannot figure out what possessed me to do something so stupid. Everyone's going to think I've gone off the deep end... I look in the mirror and am delighted to find that it is just a temporary tattoo.

We had a REALLY tough practice at Karate yesterday. So, as I expected, I was far too tired to write any of my dreams down whenever I woke up. (Surprisingly good recall for such conditions, though.) During one of my early sleep cycles, I kept waking myself up practicing my kicks. Seriously, I must have done this five or six times. 1- Weirdness... As Usual My brother and I are taking a walk when we pass by a dog pen. We know for a fact that the owners of these dogs have moved, so we worry that they will die here. "I'm taking this one home with me," he says, petting a big gray dog that resembles a wolf. "We already have two dogs at the house, Mama will never let you keep him." "So? I'll just hide him in my room." That is a horrible idea, but at that point my eyes fall on the other dog; He is a small pit bull mix... and so adorable! He gives me those sad puppy dog eyes, as if to say "You're not going to leave me here all by myself, are you?" No, of course not. I take the dog home and hide him in my closet. About a day later, I am thinking to myself about how much trouble Steven is going to get into if he gets caught with that dog. Wait a minute... didn't I get a dog, too? GAH! I jump to my feet and run to my room, opening the closet door. My dog is sitting huddled up in the corner. "I've been trapped in here for a whole day!" He whines, shuddering. "I'm so sorry! You must really need to use the bathroom, don't you?" He nods, whimpering. I can't take him outside, because my parents are in the other room. I'll just have to get some kind of container... I find a long, rectangular food container and tell him to go in that. He raises his leg, and... "You're missing!" I say urgently, not wanting to have to clean up dog pee from my closet. "Oops..." he finally manages to go in the container, but it fills up so much that now he's up to his shoulders. He tells me it feels like a nice, hot bath. WTF? "Um... Now you need a real bath. Wait here." I get another one of the containers and fill it with warm, soapy water. I bring it back to my closet, glad to see that he hasn't caused any more trouble. "Okay, now get in and wash yourself off." As he is bathing, my grandmother walks in. ((Why is she here?)) She says I'm going to be in trouble for having a dog in the house. 2- Beware the Spider Queen I am lying in bed, when I notice a HUGE spider on the wall above me. This thing is about the size of a cat, and it's giving me the look of death. Normally, I like spiders. I don't even mind when they crawl on me. But this is a different story. Freaked, I jump out of bed, eyes on the spider. It turns it's body, following my every move with it's eight beady eyes. It looks like it's about to pounce... I run from the room slamming the door behind me. My grandma is here again. I learn that she is with an ancient demon slaying society, and that she is here to pass the legacy on to me. She tells me that the spider can only be killed if it's web is destroyed. Otherwise it will just keep coming back to life. *time lapse* I think we've killed the spider by this point, but my memory isn't very clear. My grandmother gives me a weapon that resembles a giant metal boomerang. It instantly reminds me of Sango's Hiraikotsu. 3- School Days I run from the house as the bus nearly leaves us. Once inside, I go to the back where Shelby is sitting. It's the first time I've seen her since the... incident. We talk about it; she tells me all the harsh things that her mother said about me. 4- Forgotten Dreams I am in a video store with my aunt. There are some phones on display, and I see that I have typed some dreams up on one of them. Woah, I don't remember these at all! When did I write this? Suddenly I look up at the screen that shows previews for various movies. It is showing a preview for a sequel to Coraline, called "Revenge of the Other Mother." Wow, I have to see that! 5- Pattie and Wilhelm (fragment) ((Uh, I'm not really sure what this is, to be honest... It seems like it must have been epic in it's entirety, because I have several memories after this of telling other people about it and posting it in my DJ.)) Something about a ghost named Pattie mourning for her lost love, Wilhelm. 6- Pokemon (fragment) Vague memory of Pokemon. Pikachu doesn't look like it's supposed to... Looks more like a Shroomish.
Woah, I'm glad I decided to go back to sleep. 1- Puppy with a Thousand Names I just bought a cute little dachshund puppy, but I can't come up with a name. Everytime I think of one I like, I forget it and come up with something else. To start with I'm calling her Doris, then Matilda, then Samantha... I teach her how to play fetch.... She's just so cuuute! 2- Battle of Fire and Water I am surrounded by evil monks. My master is wounded; this battle is in my hands. But how can ONE win against THOUSANDS? I am barely able to keep them at bay with my fire magic, and my mana is running low. I quickly drink a potion which restores my power. But what good will it do? How can I defeat them? "Get them away from the floodgates," my master instructs. After a few failed attempts, I do as he says. Water rushes out of the gates and they all drown. 3- Playing with Time Warps I am with the Doctor; he is a bit impatient with my cousin, so he decides to screw with her head a bit. He creates a time warp, and she walks up to him just as he is talking to a past version of her. She freaks out and runs away. Our laughter is interrupted by the sound of marching. A whole legion of warriors is coming out of Wal-Mart! "You of all people should know the dangers of playing with time warps!" I accuse as the army advances on us. "Look what you've done!" The general wants us both dead. Before he gives the order to attack, he randomly stabs an arrow into the head of a dwarf standing beside him. Okay, what was the point of that? The battle commences. I have a sword, and am actually doing a really good job of killing the soldiers. This is fun! The army is actually a mixture of humans and enslaved dwarves... I end up killing the arrow-dwarf's brother, and he wants revenge. (How is he still alive with that arrow sticking out of his head?) I knock him underneath a car. Now he can't sit up without the arrow hitting the bottom of the vehicle. Looks like a very painful way to be stuck... The scene changes; now I'm working for the General. I get an email about something detrimental to the General's plans. I can't let him see this... This could be the key to getting rid of him once and for all. 4- Expectations (DEILD) Darkness. I'm not in SP anymore, I guess I woke up. But I RC anyway and become lucid. Yay! Only now, I can't open my eyes. Hmm... I take my sleep mask off, which has transferred over into the dream, but my eyes still won't open. I use my fingers and try to PRY them open... still no success. Oh well, I'll be able to see through them in a minute. I wander around the house blindly until I can see. I feel sort of confused though... For some reason I think I'm invisible. I go in my brother's room, where Steven and Matt are listening to the radio. I want to mess with them, so I throw something off the dresser at them. Apparently I'm not invisible, after all. My attention turns to the radio. Everything it is saying makes perfect sense. The commercials and the songs are all in real life clarity. Do they have this playing IRL? If not, my subconscious is awesome! I go outside. It's really dark, but I ignore this. I'm already having problems with staying in the dream, I need to stabilize this before I worry about the lights. (Or lack thereof.) I'm thinking about Leroy all of a sudden, and a man suddenly appears in front of me. Thinking it's my dream guide, I abruptly lose all my self-control and leap at him, giving him a big hug. I see a bit too late that I'm wrong, that this is just a random DC, and I wake up. ((Oops. I'm glad that wasn't Leroy, after all, since I had to go and act like that. Again.)) 5- A WILD within a DEILD I DEILD back into the dream. Yet again, I'm having the same problem with my eyes. I briefly consider ripping my eyelids off, but decide I don't really want to find out what that would feel like. I walk out of my room, into the hallway. I still can't see, but I am able to tell where I am just as easily. This dream is still really unstable... Maybe if I WILD within the dream, into a different dream, it will fix things? Worth a shot, anyway. I lay down right there on the floor, close my eyes (they were open, despite my blindness) and enter SP. There is a vague sensation of rolling around, and then... 6- Exploration ...I am fully lucid in a new dream. Better yet, I can SEE again! Now I suddenly feel as if I need to prove myself for some reason. Maybe I'll go fight that werewolf... I head off toward it's lair. It's still pretty dark out, and there are random people along the road. Once I reach M's house I run into two mean looking dogs. I think they may have been in the pack that tried to kill me in another dream... "Hey, little doggies!" I say fondly, using passive control to make them like me. I pet them. "Wanna come help me kill a big bad werewolf?" Apparently not, they run off. I turn and fly toward the south. I'm near where I'm supposed to be; the warehouse where the werewolf lives is somewhere back here. Now, however, I'm distracted by the mountains beyond that. I had read something that The Cusp posted about dream mapping, about how there are certain borders on the edges of your dreamworld and that it's impossible to get past them. Well, I'll just have to see about that for myself. After a lot of flying and climbing, I make it over the mountains... only to find more mountains in the distance. Gah... I'm not going that far. Below me, there is a city. Since I'm here, I might as well check it out. I jump down, right in the middle of the road. Cars are coming at me from all directions, but I am unconcerned. It's fun leaping over them. A little tiny car drives by... I wonder what kind of person would drive something that small? I catch up with it and sit on top, riding through the city. I reach the lower district and get off. I am surprised by the variety of people, and how real they all look. Everything is so detailed; how could my mind possibly come up with all these different people? The dream fades, and I wake up.
So... sleepy... 1- Untitled I am riding in a car with a guy about my age. He is working for some sort of secret agency, and says he has to kill the person in the car ahead of us. "Um, what?" He barely gives me enough time to brace myself as he slams his foot down on the gas pedal, crashing into the other car with full force. My ribs hurt a little, but otherwise I am fine. The guy puts his arm around me, and I ride leaning up against him for the rest of the ride. The scene changes; I am watching from a 3rd person POV as a Japanese girl transfers to an English school. She cannot speak English, so she locates another student who speaks Japanese to be translator. They speak nonsense-Japanese, but there are subtitles, so I know what they are saying. "Hideski ka?" "Hideski wa Ayumi." TRANSLATION: "Who are you?" "I'm Ayumi." The scene switches again. I am now with the Japanese girl, but she is no longer Japanese. We are trying out for track. My legs aren't working, and she isn't really trying. Neither one of us really want to be here... All the rest of the girls are following this one guy around, chanting his name. They're practically worshiping him, since he's the fastest runner. The coach tells him not to get in a car accident and get himself paralyzed, because a lot of people are counting on him. O.o
1- A Chase I leave the school after a rather rough day. Oh great, our bus isn't even here. Perfect... I am waiting with my brother, when I realize I must be dreaming. Everything is suddenly underwater... "We don't need a bus, we can swim home," I say. Once home, I take Steven into an incredibly dark forest. This would be a good time to see if I can overcome my "darkeness=lack of control syndrome," but Steven gets scared and starts attacking me, forcing me to take him back to the house. He continues to chase me, as an evil demon voice resounds from all around us. I'm not really paying attention to what the voice is saying, because I am enjoying my run. I fly up onto the house and find some really cool coins. I start to pick them up, then remember, "Oh yeah, it's not like I can keep them." Plus, Steven is still attacking me. This is getting annoying. He throws some large blocks of wood at my head, but I slow them down using telekinesis and easily catch them. I don't bother attacking him; I have some stuff I need to do... Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be looking for Samael. I prepare to fly away, but my brother grabs ahold of my foot and nearly breaks my toe off. "That doesn't hurt," I tell him, rolling my eyes. "It's a dream, you idiot." It does hurt, though, and I wonder if I kicked the wall or something IRL. My brother disappears, and I turn to go find Samael. I am just about to try a summoning spell, when the dream deteriorates and I wake up. 2- City of Bedlam, pt I In the early 1700's, my dad and I own a small shop off the coast of Charleston. We sell all our wares, and must make the long and perilous journey across the Atlantic to stock up on supplies. We are poor; so all we have is a small rowboat. It will have to do. "Getting there is the easy part," I tell my dad. "But we still have pirates to worry about. At this statement, I notice two things. 1) Another rowboat ahead of us, and 2) a pirate ship (namely, the Black Pearl) sailing our way. The girl in the rowboat near us is a young Elizabeth Swan. To rescue us from the pirates, she flings salt water in my dad's eyes and makes us crash on some island. We are greeted there by the island's inhabitants. They allow us to stay, provided we follow their rules. (And they have many, many rules.) They show us a specific room of the castle that we are not allowed to enter, because it holds some of their most treacherous secrets. I walk around, getting to know everybody. Before we know it, we have been staying in the city for weeks. It becomes my duty to vacuum the castle... with a very small hand vac. First I must pour some white cleaning liquid all over the floor, then vacuum it up. I am still working at this when I wake up. 3- City of Bedlam, pt II Back in the city, I notice that I have done a very poor job of painting my nails. I have nail polish all over my fingers, and I even missed two of my nails altogether. I decide I'd better redo them... But I can't remember where I put my fingernail polish. It must be in one of the bathrooms, but there are just so many! I begin my search. After a while, I accidentally enter a really dark, creepy room that with holds a talking shrunken head. Realizing that this is the room I am not permitted to enter, I shriek and run out. "What are you doing?" a girl asks me as I nearly run into her. I recognize her as one of the shop keepers on the shore of this island. "Oh, I'm just looking for my fingernail polish," I say hurriedly and keep looking. Outside, I notice a tree that seems to be a Christmas ornament... but it's June. Taking a closer look, I am shocked to see a fairy staring back at me. "Uh... do you know where my fingernail polish is?" I ask dumbly. She says something in sign language. "I don't understand that," I say. Suddenly more and more fairies appear in the tree. I begin to worry that they will cause trouble. "We have a problem," I tell the man who walks up behind the small tree. "What's that?" The fairies abruptly disappear, and he never notices. I was going to point them out, but I quickly change my mind. "Um, I can't find my fingernail polish," I say instead. 4- Fire Ants, pt I I "wake up" with fire ants in my bed, biting me. I hurriedly leave the room and tell my aunt about them. 5- Fire Ants, pt 2 I "wake up" again. WTF? Fire ants are biting me! So that other part was a dream? I go and tell my aunt about the fire ants, then ask her if I had already told her. She says that I did. But... why would I go back to sleep in a bed full of ants? 6- City of Bedlam, pt III A hurricane is attacking the castle. I am nearly swept away by a flood of water as one of the guards leads me up to the balcony. We are all clutching on to the sturdy bars of the balcony to avoid being blown away. Suddenly, the ocean starts throwing things at us: refrigerators, pieces of wrecked ships, all kinds of stuff! It sends it directly at us! I am dodging as best I can, while trying to knock the others out of harms way. After what seems like forever, the storm ends. 7- City of Bedlam, pt IV ((I don't know why I kept re-entering this dream. It wasn't that fun, and I was getting rather tired of these weird people.)) I decide I must leave this city. I've had enough of the wackos who live here. They tell me that the only exit is through Pointer Street, so that is where I go. Or at least, that's where I TRY to go. I end up turning onto Clutter Street instead, which is against the law. Apparently Clutter Street is where they throw all the dead bodies when they execute someone, and no one is allowed to go down there. They kill me, but this is only a temporary punishment. In this City, if you make a contribution (such as vacuuming the castle), you will be brought back to life after execution. This time I make sure to turn on Pointer Street. Unfortunately for me, a man is out shopping with his wife... butt naked. It is illegal to see someone naked unless you are married to them, so again I am killed. Frustrated, I walk all the way back to Pointer Street, making sure to keep my eyes averted from the naked man. As I am trying to avoid him, I accidentally bump into one of the guards. I immediately apologize, not wanting to be executed again. He just smiles at me and keeps walking. I pass by a man, who comments on how I was sucking up to the guards to avoid punishment. I am now faced with a problem. The naked guy is blocking my path... How am I supposed to get out of here without looking at him? An idea comes to me: I take out my sleeping mask and use it as a blindfold, feeling my way along until I make it out of the city.
It's only a bit after 6:30 as I begin typing this, so I suppose I should still be sleeping. I'm just way to amused at the dreams I had to get back to sleep, though. 1- A Final Deed Samael and I are roommates at some apartment. I am not myself; I am an ex-vigilante woman who has been diagnosed with incurable cancer. Samael asks me why I don't help people anymore, and I say that I have lost faith in the world. There is a new girl who has moved in next door, and something about her interests me. I suggest to her that she should speak with Samael. The next night, I am sitting on a bench outside our apartment when the new girl and Samael arrive together from a date they just had. I am delighted to see how well they are getting along; they're practically soulmates! I'm glad that I got to do one last good deed before I die. 2- Annoying Class We are supposed to be taking some test, but nobody is following instructions. I am talking to my friend Samantha, but she keeps switching back and forth between herself and Serenity. "Hey, I was reading your dream journal, and we both dreamed about a lemonade stand last night," I say to her. (Actually, I say tennis court to start with, then correct myself and say lemonade stand.) "Oh yeah, I read about that." "Oh, you did! I remember now that you already commented on it." In the middle of our conversation, the teacher comes over and says I need to be checked out by the dentist. They strap me into a chair, give me laughing gas, and perform rather painful tests on me. After it is over, one of Samantha/Serenity's friends is laughing at me, saying that the gas made me act retarded. 3- A Slice of Loaf I tell my brother that I am excited to get home, because my friend Loaf is going to be staying with us for a while. I explain that he just had his tonsils removed, so he probably won't feel much like talking. I walk into the front door, and Loaf is laying across my couch eating a bowl of chocolate ice cream. He looks like he's about 15 or 16, possibly older, and he has no hair. My mother has been taking care of him. "Hi Loaf, how are you feeling?" "I'm in pain," he says happily. "I would imagine so. Did the surgery go well?" "It hurt." "You mean you could feel it while they were operating on you? Didn't they put you to sleep?" "Yeah, but I could still feel it." He explains that while they were operating, he dreamed of a woman stabbing him in the throat. My mom begins to as him a lot of questions about lucid dreaming, such as what got him interested to begin with. Later, I get attacked by some creatures in a cave, and Loaf rescues me.
All day yesterday I felt sort of drained. Even when I was doing active things, such as Karate, I felt like it was a struggle to keep my eyes open. Not sure what that was all about, but it made recall throughout the night a bit difficult. 1- Fading to Nothingness The first part of the dream is indecipherable. Something to do with... karate, maybe. The vague feeling of failure. A convenience store? Or some place with a lot of shelves... Later, I am lucid, but everything has gone weird. I am watching the dream from above; it looks more like a map than a scene. There is a circle of colored squares; each square represents a dreamer. The big blue square beside me is WakingNomad. He is giving us all instructions of some kind, possibly about shared dreaming. ((If I hadn't had my sun sound mp3 playing in my ears, I wouldn't have even realized that I had woken up a few seconds after this.)) 2- The WTF Ghost Race In school, but class is a video game. Our eventual goal is to dispel some nasty ghost pirates, but first we have to do a lot of random tasks. There is a map in the top right corner of my vision that has our goal markers on it. First, we are in a hallway that forks off into three other hallways. They all loop back around to the central one. Our goal is to run through these hallways in the right order for quite a good number of times. If we get the order screwed up, we have to start over. Our instructor tells us that the pattern is center, left, right. We run around for ages until we have achieved our first goal. Next we have to meet up at the pirate king's gravestone. I am no longer paying much attention, because I have a major problem. For some reason, I accidentally brought a pocket knife with me, and I am worried that the teachers will find it and I'll get expelled. 3- Poor Undead Kitty We are riding our bikes along the interstate, of all places. I am going faster than some of the cars, which surprises me. Am I really going 60 miles per hour on my bicycle? I abruptly lose balance and topple over, sprawling out face first in the emergency lane. Uninjured, I leap to my feet and move my bike from the middle of the road. Wow, I'm glad that didn't kill me. My dad and brother have stopped to make sure I am okay. Hey, look! A cat! I walk over to the edge of the woods where a pitiful looking cat is standing, mewing helplessly. I notice that she is missing all her fur... Her skin is pink and purple like the Cheshire cat. "Aww, we can't just leave her here! Let's take her home with us!" My dad looks at me skeptically. "I'm not taking care of any cat." "You don't have to! I know Chris can't turn down a stray, so we'll be able to keep it." My brother picks it up. It now has white, fluffy fur, but I don't notice the difference. We start walking home ((what happened to our bikes?)) when suddenly Steven freaks out. "Uh... we have a problem." Concerned, I go over to him to see what he's talking about. He holds the cat up, showing me it's underside. Holy crap! The cat has a huge slash going all the way from it's chest to it's belly... AND IT HAS NO ORGANS! It's completely hollow! "How can she still be alive!?" 4- Hospitality and Time Warps I am not myself; I am a guy who is aspiring to be a magician. Something terrible happens, and I end up staying with a kind old woman and her husband until I can fix what ever went wrong. I think I just end up making it worse. I get stuck in some kind of time warp, and now I am apparently a famous hero. People who were supposed to be my companions now have no clue who I am, and they seem to worship me from a distance. A man named Fable, who I had gone to magic school with and who had beaten me numerous times is now a member of some sort of gang. He tells me that he's always admired my strength and wishes that he could become like me.
Sometimes, my dream guide really irks me. But yay, lucidity! 1- Scary Lucidity I am listening to a song on my mp3 player that was written by someone on MM. It's very creepy... Makes me think of Alice in Wonderland. Eventually I get tired and turn it off, intending to go to bed. As soon as I lay down, the song starts playing. Ugh, not THIS song again. Wait, didn't I take my earbuds out already? I sit up and RC. Lucid! Suddenly it is very dark in my room. I vaguely think about lights, but I cannot focus enough to make the darkness go away. An aura of fear, of pure terror, weighs down the air, making it somewhat difficult to breathe. Annoyed, I walk to the center of my room and stand perfectly still. I picture what I will do to any attacker, even Leroy (who I know is behind this), for coming to me in such darkness with the obvious intent to scare me. But it's just so freaking dark, I can't hold the dream together.FA ((Note: I know it was Leroy, because fear is his "energy signature." Why he has to be so anti-social, I don't know.)) 2- A Dream of Wakefulness I am in MM chat, telling everyone about the lucid dream I just had. Moonbeam tells me that the person who wrote that song is banned from MM, because he stole our "void game." I am appalled. How dare he!? Later, I am a guy wandering around a college campus. I hear a "Hey, you," behind me and turn around. A girl is standing in the doorway, looking at me. "The manager told me to look for a Junior, and you're the only Junior around here. Even though you look more like 17 than 20. If you want to join our ranks, go meet Nelson by the band house." ((This is pretty much an exact quote of what she said, as I woke up afterwards and wrote it down as quickly as possible.)) 3- Alice in Dreamland I am cleaning out my grandmother's house; apparently she's moving. We fight all sorts of strange things in there, my favorite being some type of primitive war machine. It is a cart, with a catapult attached to one side, a removable spiky club attached to the other side, and spikes in the front. Useful for both long ranged attacks and ramming into enemies. Later, I am no longer myself, but a girl named Alice. I am standing in a graveyard with friends, sanctifying the grave of our deceased friend, Whisper. I say a spell which animates the concrete Angel used as her gravemarker. It now has her spirit. She thanks me, and offers to help in times of need. I am following some weird storyline as I wander further into the graveyard, away from my friends. A narrator says I will get attacked by the thugs who are after me, and my friends won't be able to hear my cries for help. The rational part of me realizes that I could leave now before the thugs find me, but this Alice part of me isn't aware of my future predicament. I see my (Alice's) father walk around the side of the church. Rational me: *gasp* My father has something to do with those thugs! Alice: Hm, I wonder where he's going? As I sneak closer, I spot the thugs loading some things into a car. Too late to hide: the short fat one has spotted me! I run, and he give chase. How can he run so fast!? I see my friends over the hill, leaving the cemetery. As predicted, they cannot hear me calling to them. Suddenly another of the thugs is standing in my path. This one, however, I know to be friendly. "Alice!" he cries out as I collide into him. He catches me and holds me with my back against his chest. "Being... chased..." I pant. Shorty walks up to us. "Neil! Good, you got 'er! Let's take 'er to the boss!" Neil doesn't move; I can tell he's debating with himself about what to do. Set me free, or follow orders? Right now, I don't really care which one he decides. I know that he'll save me eventually, if not now. Besides, I'm feeling very comfortable in his arms... "Neil, what are you waiting for?" Shorty growls impatiently. Neil suddenly lets me go and puts himself between me and the other thug. "Go! Run!" I don't want to leave him, but I must follow the storyline. "Thank you," I say, taking off down the sidewalk. I think I am going to get away, but at the intersection I am intercepted by another thug, who looks like Fabio. Damn it! Neil got in trouble for nothing! ((At this point, my mom's phone goes off, waking me. No fair... I was going to end up having a romance with Neil...))
I don't remember waking up AT ALL last night. 1- Sumo Wrestler This dream takes place several years into the future. What ever endeavor my brother has set out to do didn't work, and he has returned in hopes of moving back in with my parents. They say that they were planning on someone else moving in, and he'd have to compete with the other guy to see who gets the extra room. "Fair enough, who is he?" Suddenly this HUGE sumo wrestler comes into the room and sits down at the table. I burst into laughter. 2- Elephants I am trying to get up a hill for some sort of quest, but there are predators all around, waiting to eat me. The only way I can get to the top is by traveling underneath a herd of elephants. ((What is it with me and elephants lately??? At least these weren't trying to kill me.)) 3- Mortal Mist Dream Games I make a post on MM, describing some dream games I came up with. I say that the games were inspired by The Cusp, because of a post he made about something similar. 4- Serenity Something vague about Serenity. We were talking about something, but I can't remember what. The annoying thing is, I remember having that feeling of excited realization that comes with being lucid, but I can't remember having a lucid dream at all! Maybe something during the day will make me remember.
I decided to change the title of my DJ, as I think this is more fitting. Plus, with the new system, it feels better to undergo a complete change of pace.
TERRIBLE recall last night. I didn't sleep well at all; after WBTB at 2:30 I pretty much just drifted through HI for a few hours until I FINALLY managed to get back to sleep. 1- Vague Details Something vague about Raven Knight and Walms... Speaking to them... Then posting about it in my DJ. ((Even though I had JUST woken up from this during WBTB, those were the only details I could remember.)) ((After that, a lot of HI about posting in my DJ and finding out that I'd had a shared dream. I was trying to type everything down on my laptop, then remembered that my laptop was on my bedside table, turned off, so what I was doing was pointless. I tried to read everything I had typed so I could remember it, but it was random nonsense about people I don't know. Then I kept typing more stuff, forgetting that the laptop I was using wasn't real.)) 2- Witch Information I am talking to some people on MM about witches. I say that I had found a site with some really cool information, but I couldn't remember the link at the moment. The next time I check the thread, I see that Z has made an account and that she has posted the link I was talking about. ((I wake up, shrouded in HI again. Z is sitting on the edge of my bed. "Thanks for the link," I mumble out loud, rolling over. I wonder why I'm talking to her, since she's not really there. She says something, and we talk for a little bit before I drift back to sleep.)) 3- Poor Bike My mom and I are leaving some weird neighborhood. When we leave, more people come, and a roadblock is set up saying that the maximum number of people have entered. We are waiting for Chris and Steven, but they are taking forever. My mom goes back in to find them after the road block is gone. I ride my bike through the neighborhood to pass the time. I see a girl ride up stairs on a scooter, so I try it with my bike. Oops, there go my tires... I hope that popping sound was only my imagination, but as I ride back to where my mother is, my tires deflate completely.

During most of the night, I had terrible recall. Only 2 dreams remembered by 6:30. I can very rarely get back to sleep once light starts showing through my window, even IF I put my sleep mask on, but this time I was lucky. 1- Midnight Tragedy A wolf... wandering through the forest. "Pain is pain, but one step out of Hell is alleviating. The wolf's war had never been closer." He grants a big dog sentience to ask it a question, just after the poor thing gets chopped in half. It is still alive, writhing in a pool of it's own blood. But the wolf doesn't care about the other animal's pain. He just wants answers. 2- Wanderlust and Surprisingly Good Excuses Chris and I are walking down a path through the forest. I stumble upon the biggest deer antler I have ever seen: it's about the size of my own body, if not bigger. I want to take it with me, but Chris refuses to help. I end up dragging it behind me by myself. Later, I am no longer myself. I am a Princess, walking through a beautiful meadow with my sister, my guards, and one of our suitors. (Who is a Prince from a faraway land.) We reach the end of the meadow... the edge of the woods. My sister sends all the guards and the Prince away. One of the guards doesn't want to leave us, but the Prince says that they all must obey any command we give. "We have to hurry, or Mother will find out that we're here by ourselves." As soon as I utter the words, my phone rings. It's our mother. She begins telling me something about Chris coming to the place she works to teach everyone martial arts." "That's great," I say, not really paying attention. "I have to go now. Love you, bye!" Time passes. I am riding in a limo with my sister when we get attacked by vampires. Even worse, our mom has somehow found out about us being off in the woods! I managed to get our vampire attack on video, and I use this as an excuse for why we were in the woods by ourselves. 3- Mirrors Hate Me (WILD) ((As I enter SP, it feels as though I'm being drug across carpet. "Oh no, it's the carpet monster!" I think to myself jokingly, waiting for it to stop. Finally the sliding ends, and I feel a shift.)) Okay, I'm in a dream. But I still can't see. Should I open my eyes, or try to see through them? I open them. I now see that I'm lying facedown on the floor, at my grandparent's house. Weird that I ended up here. I give the dream a moment to put itself together, as it looks... fleeting. Once the clarity increases, I stand up and begin to rub my hands together. I just so happen to look in the mirror as I am doing this. My reflection is EVIL. She is clapping her hands, rather than rubbing them, and laughing like a demon. Her eyes are filled with darkness... "Holy crap, that's freaky," I think, though I am more amused than creeped out. Suddenly my reflection hits me with a jolt of dark energy and I collapse to the floor, waking up. 4- Restless (DEILD) ((I DEILD back into the dream.)) "Okay, no mirrors this time." I pick myself up off the floor where I had fallen and make sure to keep my eyes averted from any reflective surface. There's really no reason for me to be in this house, anyway. I'm going out. Outside, I ponder over what to do. I should go to my training grounds, but... Out loud, I say, "I want to find Man of Shred or Waking Nomad and see if I can learn anything about shared dreaming." I fly to the top of the house, intending to go to the moon. But... 5- A Lousy Attempt (FA) ...I "wake up." Fine, I'll just DEILD again. I'm already halfway into sleep paralysis, anyway. The only problem is, every time the vibrations start getting intense, my hip feels as if it's dislocating. I can't stop myself: I grab it in pain and get out of SP. I tell myself it's only an illusion, that I am experiencing HI. I am talking to someone who is in the room with me, so I really don't see how I didn't think to RC. 6- More Vampires I am walking into a vampire restaurant with some people who I'm traveling with. A lady in the doorway takes a snap at me; I merely roll my eyes and keep walking. I watch people as I walk toward the counter. One of the waiters is asking a couple of kids who they are. "Vampires," they answer at the same time. I realize this must be a password for something. "Oh, you must be part of Sadalgo's lot." I tune them out and order a doctor pepper. I'm hoping they don't add blood to it, like they are for everyone else. "How can she be in here, eating with us?" I hear a voice say. The whispering starts. I see a man glance over to me every so often as he has a hushed conversation on his cell phone. Trouble is coming. "They're talking about ME," I whisper to my comrades. "I know." Outside, I get attacked by that same vampire lady and her slightly chubby male friend. I chase her off and take the guy captive. I have to literally sit on him to keep him him from getting away. I can't let him up until we get the signal that our weapons are ready. At one point, a cute little puppy walks up and starts licking the vampire man in the face. I laugh, enjoying his discomfort. As soon as we get the signal, more vampires arrive; the battle has begun. I have a weird hand gun that I try shooting, but it doesn't work worth a flip. Annoyed, I throw it to the ground. THIS is why I prefer swords! I run off to the forest, planning to cut off the vampires' reinforcements. Becoming lucid, I pick up a long piece of tree bark and decide to turn it into the Deathcat. One of the vampires attacks me with a huge battle axe. I raise my sword to block, but... "What the heck? It's still a piece of bark!" I dodge out of the way and draw the Deathcat from my sword belt. I can feel it in my hand, but it seems to be invisible. Oh well, it's still sharp. I parry the vampires next blow, then chop off his weapon arm. Unfortunately, he's wearing so much armor that I can't finish him off.

Bleh... My brothers were up half the night playing video games. WBTB was too distracting to use self-hypnosis, and it took ages to get back to sleep. 1- Hair of Death I'm being attacked by some crazy lady's hair. It is alive, in four separate pony-tail entities, with a deadly blade on the end of each. As they are trying to chop my head off, they say that my soul will join them if they kill me. "Dang, what the hell did you do to your hair?" I say to the lady, who I seem to know. I manage to get away from that situation, and end up an some school or similar institution. I am talking to two people... "Don't worry," I say, "You know I'd always be at least semi-lucid for something like this, even if I'm not fully aware of it." I wasn't lucid at all, really. 2- In Need of a Repairman I end up over at Shelby and Taylor's house. Oh no, why am I here? I'm not supposed to be here... Their mother walks in and immediately starts yelling at me. I merely roll my eyes and walk out the door. Back at my house, I am crawling on the ground for some reason. Bugs and rodents are everywhere. I go inside the house just as a fountain of bugs bursts through the wall. Not wanting to deal with this at the moment, I walk back outside. I find a cell phone near the edge of the woods which seems to belong to Shelby. I flip through some information on it and find that the phone supposedly belongs to a "Richard McGreggor Cullen." I still think that it's Shelby's, since she's still somewhat obsessed with Twilight. 3- Cross Country I am running through the school, at the instruction of my coach. This seems to be the new trail... My legs don't want to work right. "If I can't even run correctly in real life, how do I expect to do it in dreams?" I think to myself. ((GAH!!!!!)) Something stupid about filling up a bag with food as we run... I also had some pretty cool HI as I was trying to get back to sleep. I was slashing people to bits in gory detail with the Deathcat, and ripping people's heads off with my bare hands. Yeah... that's how I feel about being disturbed at 1:30 in the morning.
Seems like I've been sleeping a lot deeper lately. Usually I'm a light sleeper, and will awaken at the slightest thing. This is making it very difficult to WBTB properly. At least my recall was better last night! 1- Dream Journaling (fragment) I am writing down some keywords from a dream I just had. It seems like it was a very interesting dream... 2- Waiting in the Rain ((Why is this underline green???)) I am in my classroom, when the bell rings. Yay, time to leave! I run down the hallway and am halfway to the door when I realize that I left all my stuff in the classroom. Oh no, I'm going to miss the bus... I run back and grab my stuff, and when I get outside I am relieved to see that I haven't been left. Later, Steven and I are waiting outside an abandoned building for our dad. It is pouring down rain and extremely uncomfortable. I wish he'd hurry the hell up... FINALLY he arrives, after the rain has already stopped. We are walking down a path behind the building, and come out near a corn field where a motorcycle gang is having a meeting. I am feeling reckless and want to go join them, but my dad says we'd better steer clear. I end up walking through the corn field before returning to the path. We are now in a car, driving through a really beautiful (and obviously rich) estate. There is so much to see! Gargoyles perch atop the buildings, and glittering fountains gurgle in the courtyards. I keep telling my dad to slow down, that I want to see everything. We pass by a sign that says Amethyst Labyrinth. I know that I must come back here to explore one day. 3- Hospital ((Hm, this one's black like it's supposed to be.)) I am visiting someone in the hospital with a bunch of people I don't know. We get on the elevator, press the button, and... WHOOSH!!!! The thing flies to our floor at an such an incredible speed that I fall over. Holy cow... They must need these elevators to get emergency patients up to the operating room or something. Later, I am going back down. I make it into the elevator, but the door shuts before the rest of my people can get on. Oh well, they'll have to catch the next one. A little boy is in there with me, and he looks scared to death. "Which floor?" I ask him. "Five and ten," he answers. How can he be going to two different floors? I press both of the buttons anyway, as well as the ground floor. The thing immediately shoots way up to the tenth floor as I hold onto the railing for dear life. The little boy is screaming his head off. "I'm going to have to go through this two more times," I think with annoyance. 4- Pit Possum Man I am taking care of a small possum. Eventually it turns into a pit bull, but it still has the same tail. The thing is fairly aggressive, and the whole time I'm trying to teach it to be more pleasant. At the end, it becomes a man with very little clothing, resembling Tarzan. (And yet again, he still has that possum tail.) My nose starts to run, because it is cold and rainy. I sniff rather loudly. "What's that?" the possum man asks me. "What's what?" He sniffs, imitating me. "Oh. I had snot running out my nose." ((LOL The conversation got even worse after that, but I won't go there.)) 5- Texting (fragment) I get a text message from a person who I'd rather not hear from. Oh no, not HER. I text back, "The only reason you're so upset is because you KNOW I'm right. You secretly want to change, but you don't know how."
