    1. A New Level of Narcissism

1- A New Level of Narcissism
I seem to be a different person than my RL self, in an alternate life. A guy around my age is with me, an old friend who obviously wants to be more than "just friends." I am discussing a problem that has recently developed.

About a week previous, I split into two separate people. There are now two halves of me, and we act exactly alike in every way except one: She seems to have inherited the devious side of me, while I contain the more inhibited side. I fear whatever evil she is planning. Although we have grown inappropriately fond of each other, I worry that she will eventually kill me in whatever endeavor she is pursuing.

As I am discussing these concerns with my friend, I have a flashback of the day the split occurred. I see myself lying in bed, gripping my grandmother's severed head while tendrils of dark energy seep from my eyes and mouth. Once it recedes, I see myself and my friend go off into the woods to bury the head.

At the end of the dream, my double is embracing me from behind. I have another brief flashback (but one that I choose not to share. ) I ask her if she intends to kill me. "Is that what you've been worried about?" she asks in a somewhat soothing voice. I realize that, while I don't trust her, she will most likely spare my life.

      Wow... That's a new one.

Staying in a hotel at Georgia... Great place to have some seriously disturbed dreams. :S

      1- Sacrifice
I am performing a ritual that calls for the sacrifice of an animal. I buy a huge meat cleaver to get the job done, but then I can't go through with it. ((That's all I have written in my DJ, but it's definitely an abridged version. I remember accidentally killing a cat before I even got the knife, and some creepy person attacking me. I believe I used the meat cleaver to chop their hand off, but it's been several months, so the memory is very vague.))

      2- More Neo-Nazis
I am stealing a book in a future where books are illegal, when the Nazis come to take me away. I quickly hide the book in my jacket.

They ship me off, but after a huge ordeal ((which I stupidly didn't write down)) I make an escape on horseback.

      3- Torture
A CREEPY preview for some movie comes on tv:

A flash of a monster-woman, with a spider like face and arachnid jaws. A red-headed girl strapped to a table. "Just relax," the spider lady laughs. She drags her long, metallic claws down the girl's legs. Flashes of torture. The lady has huge garden shears that she uses to cut off the girl's fingers, one by one, while the girl cries over and over, "Mother forgive me, Mother forgive me, Mother forgive me!"

The clip ends, showing the name of the movie. We all stare at the screen in disturbed silence.

      1-Hidden
I have the odd feeling that I am not alone; after a brief search, I find my friend Cheyenne hiding in my closet. She tells me that she's mad at someone in her family and doesn't want to go home. I decide to help her hide.

This proves to be quite the task, considering she seems to be drunk and refuses to stay hidden.

"How am I going to get you to school tomorrow without my mom finding out?"

"We can just explain everything to her in the morning," she decides. She sits down on my bed. "Promise you'll let me keep a marriage proposal ring?"

"Uh, sure... Who proposed to you?"

      "My brother."

I am unable to hide my shock. "Um, I don't know about that..."

"Please?" She takes out a small plastic ring that says "BEST FRIEND" and smiles sadly. "He's in Heaven now." I am left with the disturbing image of a fetus dying in the womb before I wake up.

      1- Evil Sophie
((First, an explanation. Sophie is another of my "alter ego" characters that I use for writing. No, I do not have dissociative identity disorder. ))

Sophie turns evil and wishes to join an order of evil magicians that we had read about in a book. She signs us up for a summer camp so she can kill some people. "Not my problem," I think, but upon arrival I realize that I will be the one to pay for her actions since she's using MY body. I forcibly regain control of my body and cast her out. She becomes a small white cat.

I pick her up and pet her, whispering things in her ear. "You look cute as a kitty," I giggle, and she bites my hand to express her annoyance. One of the camp girls asks if she can hold her. "No," I say, "this cat is rather unpleasant." As if to emphasize this, Sophie viciously bites my hand again.

I was going to attempt to pretend to be Sophie while at camp, but she had put HER age down, and no one is going to believe that I am 13. Instead I signed in as a late arrival and ended up sharing a cabin with a girl named Natalie. While I am asleep, Sophie takes on her human form and kills my poor roommate. I wake up shortly afterward. "Not my problem," I think once again, and have a brief conversation with Sophie as she is removing Natalie's bones from her body. Some of the things she is saying make me slightly uncomfortable, so I leave the room to have an early breakfast.

I am speaking to a boy named Roy (who Sophie intends to kill) about the language of the elves from Tolkien. Suddenly I realize that if I don't tell anyone that Sophie murdered Natalie, when I was clearly a witness, I will be considered and accomplice. Darn...

I tell the headmistress of the camp about Sophie's deeds. (In her human form, Sophie was a known camper, since she DID sign up.) Th lady doesn't seem very concerned, even when I tell her of Sophie's plans to kill Roy.

One of the other campers informs me that Sophie has put a "lunar microwave" (whatever that is) in the bathroom.

((Ahahaha! This dream is ironic, because Sophie is the LAST one of my characters I'd expect to turn evil. ))

      1- The Split
A strange lady is after my alter ego... I get the notion that she's not entirely evil (as we share a somewhat humorous banter while she stalks us) but all the same she wants Madison dead. Somehow the two of us (Madison and I) end up splitting into two separate yet identical entities. Rather than kill us both, the lady tries to figure out which one is which. Until she does, the danger is over.

((Not very long, but I really enjoyed this dream.))

      1- Staying Alive
My brother and I have been sent out into the city to find information about some peculiar deities. In our quest, we stumble into a building with a sign labeled "Bountay Hunters." No time to be amused at their weird spelling, because they seem to want us dead.

      *time lapse*

Later, I am walking through the forest when some angry tree nymphs begin chasing me. The trees themselves are walking, and each of their leaves is a sharp-toothed fairy creature. The ground trembles in their wake as I take great, bounding leaps away from them.

Suddenly a hand is upon my shoulder, and I scream in surprise. Then I realize that it is a notoriously annoying reporter, who seems to be attempting to interview me. I yell at her that now is not the best time, and continue running. When I finally make it out of the forest, I find out by text message that I am on the news. Great...

After that, there is a weird dialogue between me and someone I knew a lonng time ago about some of my friends.

      8/13/10

      1- Magical Prodigy
I am the daughter of Melinda Gordon from Ghost Whisperer. We are attending some sort of party where a crazy ghost/demon lady is killing off the guests. Whoever goes upstairs suffers her horrible wrath: they are thrown from the banister to a bloody death. My mother cannot stop her; I seem to be the only hope. For some reason I am immune to the demon's power, and I leap at her, clawing at her face. She seems horrified.

"What are you!?" she shrieks as I tear slices out of her skin.

In a bloodied frenzy, I ignore her question. "Die, b*tch!," I scream at her, "And this time stay in Hell where you belong!"

After she is dead, all the guests clap for me. I am more than slightly embarrassed...

On the way home, Melinda and I jokingly talk about the creepy naked ghost that used to follow her around. Our conversation is cut short, however, when we spy her mother and several strange ladies stealing herbs from our garden. Ugh, that's the third time this month!

My grandmother's friends run off when they see us approach, but before Melinda has a chance to say anything, the woman is drug off into the field behind our house by some unseen force. We give chase.

It doesn't take long for us to find her, but we quickly realize that she is now the demon lady from earlier in disguise. This time she is not so easily subdued.

Our battle carries over into some sort of warehouse, where my mother spots a bomb in the corner of the room. "Set up that bomb," she tells me, "and I'll hold of the demons."

"No way! YOU set the bomb, and I"LL hold them off." She begrudgingly agrees.

When I turn around, the demon and her cronies are all armed with chainsaws. Holy crap! For a split second, I fear that I may be in over my head, but bloodlust quickly takes control. I wrench a chainsaw out of the hands of the nearest woman and saw her in half. Blood splatters everywhere. Unphased, the demon lady comes at me. She proves to be more of a challenge, but once I disarm her (literally) she is as easy to kill as ever. She is in several pieces by the time I'm done with her.

After I slaughter the rest of the white-robed women, I get a little carried away and accidentally almost slice my brother Alex in half. (The same Alex from two of my other dreams. Poor guy...) I have also injured my pet shark somewhere along the line.

      *time lapse*

I am now Phoebe from Charmed, trying to call for Leo. Why isn't he showing up!? I end up having to track him down myself... some White Lighter he is. "What is it?" he asked, seeming annoyed.

"I think we need to look this demon lady up in the Book of Shadows. I've already killed her twice, and she keeps coming back."

He gives me a you're-so-stupid look and walks off. What the hell is his problem today?

"Wait!" I yell, chasing after him. "Can you at leas heal my shark?" I hold out Pete, my pet shark, who is still bleeding profusely.

Leo rolls his eyes and waves his hand over the shark. "There, he's healed." He hurries off.

      *time lapse*

I am now Melinda's daughter again, approaching the demon's greenhouse. She is accusing my other brother, Peter, of using telekinesis to ruin her roses. He looks terrified, and is obviously not the culprit. I wonder if I did that unintentionally? Concentrating, I try to lift a garden hoe with my mind. It flies up and hits my mother in the face. Oops!

I then use telekinesis on myself and sit in the rafters. (Rafters, in a greenhouse?) Alex, who is now a bloodied, severed foot, joins me. "Dude, maybe you should get Leo to heal you. It's sort of creepy with you just being a foot."

"No way," the foot says to me. "I like it like this!"
    8. The Next Nightmare

      by , 08-13-2010 at 09:01 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Had some awesome dreams while at the beach! Time to catch up...

      8/8/10

      1- The Next Nightmare
"What's with the camera and notebook?" Amy asks me as we walk down the aisles of Wal-Mart, where we both work. Although my name is apparently Nicole, I still have my personality.

"After I get off, I'm tracking down Freddy Krueger." She gives me an okay-you've-finally-lost-it look. "No, seriously," I tell her. "If I can be the next person to locate him and write down the new story... well, that would just be so freaking awesome!"

"Uh, yeah. Good luck with that, Nicole."

That night I go way out in the woods to a spooky old cabin, following a teenage boy who plans to spend the night there. It's not long before Krueger shows. He's riding a horse which appears to have come straight from Hell, and he looks incredibly deadly. Halfway buried in leaves, I snap tons of pictures as he slaughters the guy.

The next morning, I am ecstatic. "It was so amazing, Amy!" While I am busy going off on a crazy fangirl rant, Krueger bursts into the store, apparently ticked off about me stalking him.

"Look what you've done!" Amy screams at me as we take off running.

      Unsure of outcome...

    9. I Love (Killing) the (un)Dead

      by , 08-06-2010 at 12:44 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      I love my dreams. ^^

1- Venting (aka: Annoying Younger Brother)
Steven has made me angry before, but never like this. And he actually has the nerve to attack me after what he did? I snap, kicking him in the groin repeatedly and then stomping on his face when he collapses to the floor. Blood everywhere, running out of his eyes, nose, mouth... Maybe I went a little overboard. ((Haha, and we were getting along so well yesterday. IRL he'd be able to beat me up.))

      2- I Love the Dead
The dream starts with a game of Star Wars Battlefront. "We've gotta get a move on," I say to my brother, nudging the body of a recently killed Storm Trooper with my toe. "We've only killed three of their men so far, and there're eight hundred left! If we don't hurry, we're going to lose for sure!"

But as soon as we walk outside--- plot change! Now we're fighting zombies instead of the Empire. I prefer to use my sword, but Steven insists that my gun is the best choice. Whatever, he'd know best when it comes to things like this. We shoot down a ton of zombies as we make our way to a large building at the end of the road. Some of the zombies are actually quite conversational... But any zombie is better off dead.

Once inside the building, we are immediately surrounded by more mindless undead. Easy kills. It's the three "sane" ones we have to look out for. There's a young girl, fifteen at the most, and a couple of lovebirds. To my disgust, the girl vomits everywhere. "Nasty little thing," I mutter, putting a bullet through her head... At least, that's what I attempted to do. But the bullet turns to water as soon as it makes contact. What the...?

"The scent of my puke acts as a shield against bullets," she giggles.

"Oooh, can we get some of that shield?" her blond companion asks.

"Of course!" she breathes all over the tall blond zombie and her lover.

"That's just gross!" I say, drawing my sword and hacking at the teenage zombie. Damn, that shield is pretty tough. My sword, which should have beheaded the girl in a single blow, has embedded only about halfway through her neck.

      "Hehe, that tickles!"

I end up only chopping one of her arms off before we're forced to run.

      *time lapse*

Steven and I split up; I am now traveling with my friend Brigitte. We are having a conversation with a guy who would be gorgeous... if only he weren't a zombie. I end up fighting him, but it is only half-heartedly and mainly out of habit. About halfway through the fight we just sort of get tired of it and wander off.

A little bit later, that same zombie comes and rescues us from a bit of trouble with that loony zombie girl from earlier. Brigitte has an obvious fondness for the guy, and they suddenly start kissing.

Ugh, I don't know which is worse. Zombie puke, or kissing a zombie. Either way, I can't stop myself from singing some Alice Cooper:

      I love the dead
      Before they're cold
      Their blueing flesh
      For me to hold...

The two get annoyed with me and break it up. Brigitte and I leave.

We find a zombie "safe spot."

"Zombies don't like rows and rows of trees," Brigitte tells me. "We should be safe here."

But we're not, because one tree is missing. (One freaking tree!) In the place of where the tree is supposed to be is a small tv screen, which is allowing me to see what Brigitte's zombie and this dark haired zombie girl were discussing earlier. A rebellion?

The two of them walk up just as I am watching this, but
I don't remember anything after that.
    10. Ouch...

      by , 08-05-2010 at 01:47 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I had quite a few dreams last night, but this is the only one that I remember.

      1- Alex the Cursed
At school, I am in a gang led by a boy named Alex. (Who, by the way, seems to be the same Alex from my orphanage dream a while back.) This isn't a normal kind of gang. Alex's father is a leading figure in the Mafia; our gang is designed to undermine his malicious schemes.

In a tragic turn of fate, however, Alex is discovered. Furious, his father beats him unconscious before my eyes (I am chained to the wall). Then, to my horror, he pulls down the boy's pants and chops off his penis.

"You sick bastard!" I screech, straining uselessly against my chains. "He's your son! How can you be so cruel!?"

I am released without any (physical) harm, and I carry Alex back to his room. (Although, "carry" isn't the right word. I more or less had to drag him due the fact that he was considerably larger than me.) I feel sorry for him when he wakes up...

      *time lapse*

The gang and I seem to be under some sort of sleeping spell. I drowsily wonder why I haven't gotten out of bed the past week.

Suddenly the nurse brings in some "medicine." She says that Alex sent it. Throughout the dream, we had been taking some particular type of drug to enhance our fighting abilities. I believe that this is the same thing, despite the fact that it is clearly labeled "Furniture Cleaner." One sip of it and I am abruptly wide awake.

I rush to the nearest sink as fast as my legs can carry me (which happens to be the one in Alex's bedroom) and begin spitting the stuff out. It has started foaming, and takes quite a while to get it all out. Blech! "I... I think I prefer the other medicine," I say to Alex weakly. "Although this one DID get me out of bed."

He is angry that we haven't been to see him since his... incident. I apologize profusely, making a mental note to slaughter whoever put me under that damn spell...

      *time lapse*

It is time for the school election, and since two girls from the Yakuza are running, it is important for our gang to send two candidates. Alex and I are the popular choice. I know that I will end up doing most of the work (since he's going to be disabled for a while), but I put on a brave face and accept the offer. (I really, really hate positions where I must speak in front of people.)

For some reason, part of the pre-election activities consists of hiding seven slips of paper in the kitchen. The opposing team who finds all of the other team's papers wins the challenge.

But the Yakuza girls are cheaters. I catch them spying on me as I hide the slips of paper, so Alex and I start devising a scheme of our own to sabotage them.

    11. Out of Character

      by , 08-04-2010 at 03:10 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      Fun night!

      1- Against All Odds
Trapped on an island with some friends, I am one of those blond, cowardly girls that always seems to be the main character in a horror movie. The man who lives on the island believes it is necessary to sacrifice us all at the various shrines around the place, in order to appease the gods who cursed him. I fearfully attempt to sneak into the man's hideout, but he appears out of nowhere and begins chasing me. I let out a blood curdling scream and take off running. In the back of my mind, I'm thinking how pathetic this display of cowardice is. But I can't break character for some reason...

Still running, the man appears in front of me. How the hell did he do that!? Apparently he's the more mystic type of bad guy, I think to my character, who ignores me and runs back toward the man's hideout.

The chase continues in this manner for a while, when I notice the man looks oddly familiar. He's wearing a brown fedora, and he appears to have claws on one of his hands. "Freddy Krueger?" I ask, finally beginning to regain my true self. My question offends him, and he raises his right hand for me to see. The claws are nails, rather than knives. Drat...

"One for each death!" he yells at me, and the chase continues. ((I understand this to mean that there is one nail for each person he killed.))

Now, however, I'm running more out of necessity than fear. I'm going to kill this loon one way or another.

Once outside, I become lucid and take flight. "Ha, let's see him try to get me now!" Unfortunately, the dream ends.

      2- Death Sighting
My crazy neighbor comes over to visit. She seems freaked out about something, and it takes me a while to make any sense of what she's saying. Something about a prowler in our front yard. "Wait," I say. "Did this guy have claws on his right hand?"

"It was Death!" she explodes. "I saw Death standing right next to your house! One of you is going to die soon!"

I try to calm her down. Since she's the one who saw him, she's probably the one who's going to die... Of course, I don't tell her this.

      3- Book of Lilith
A mythology professor gives me access to his personal library. I find a hidden room which contains some texts that appear to be really ancient. One of the books is titled "Dark Lilith." I am startled to see this; why is her name popping up so much lately? ((IRL, this is really happening. I read some stories about Lilith last week, and since then I am seeing references to her EVERYWHERE.)) I begin reading the book... but it seems to have nothing to do with Lilith at all. It seems more like a book of shadows.

The professor suddenly walks in and is angry for no apparent reason. He kicks me out of his library and tells me that I'm not allowed to come back.

Woah! How could I forget my beetle dream!?

      2- Giant Beetle
A HUGE beetle is trying to eat my foot. When I say huge, I mean this thing is the size of a dog. It keeps grabbing ahold of my shoe in its monstrous jaws as I desperately kick at it, trying to get it to back off.

    13. Curse of the Kraken

      by , 07-26-2010 at 01:35 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      7/26/10

I supposedly had a really epic lucid last night, according to a fragment I have of telling someone else about it. Unfortunately it is completely lost.

      1- Curse of the Kraken
The apocalypse is approaching. Or so it seems as I stare in horror at the huge wall of water about to wash over me. The wave crashes down upon me, but I manage to grab ahold of a whale serenely floating by. I am relieved that I didn't die. The water retreats back to the horizon, where I see it sit, waiting for a more opportune time to strike. It wants ME, specifically. Buy why? ((Note that I live half a day away from the ocean.))

Throughout the dream it takes many more shots at me. I can't sleep, for fear that I will be dragged off to sea! Somewhere along the line I end up traveling with some people who are sworn to protect me. We are camping out in the forest, thinking it to be a safe place. The girl and boy I am with (who seem to be anime characters from two separate shows) are arguing about whose tent I am going to sleep in. My bodyguard tells them to shut up or take a hike.

      I drift off to sleep.

My thoughts begin to narrate what happens after that. "I thought I would be safe in the forest, but the water came for me while I was asleep. It picked me up and dragged me away. When I woke up, I was alone and lost. I had to spend a week in the hospital, but I'm okay now."

Back to the live action. The ocean had grown tired of trying to drown me, so it sends a Kraken after me. While I am on the run from it, we learn the hard way that all who touch the water from now on will become a Kraken as well. People are turning all around me, and I'm chopping them up with a cleaver. The curse gets smarter. Now the mini Krakens are able to turn back into humans, but they still contain their evil souls. My best friend is trying to kill me with an axe!

Then something amazing happens. As I am talking to my friend, trying to plead with her to fight this madness... it actually works. Reason returns to her eyes and she drops her weapon. I realize that this must be why the ocean is out to get me. My voice has the power to break the curse of the Kraken!

      by , 07-26-2010 at 01:12 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      7/24/10

      1- Antics
I end up throwing a childish hissy fit and run off down the road. I go farther than intended; all the way down to Deerman High. (Name changed.) As I jump the fence, I have a complete character change.

I am now a guy. From a 3rd person POV I see that I have spiky reddish orange hair. Really good-looking. I intend to leave this place before I get caught, but a marvellous sight stops me dead in my tracks: A cheerleader. A tall, blond, big chested cheerleader. I decide to hang around here for a bit, after all. ((What I find most amusing about this dream is that I literally had the mindset of a guy. I apparently didn't remember being a girl AT ALL.)) I pay someone to give me their extra uniform, which allows me to blend in.

    15. First Missed Night

      by , 07-26-2010 at 12:59 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Okay, I have several nights worth of dreams to type up. I was wrapped up in a lot of other things so I didn't have time to post them here, but I did either write them down or commit them to memory. I'll do this with one entry per night.

      7/23/10

      1- Living Dead Girl
Although I am on a cruise ship, it doesn't seem like much of a vacation. Everything is dark and gloomy, from the weather, to the passengers, to the ship itself. I have befriended a group of younger girls, one of whom is suffering from a terrible disfigurement of the face. She is dying; whether from her condition or her own self-pity is hard to tell. Regardless, it's clear that she's looking forward to it.

After her death, the other girls and I hold some sort of ritual to honor her. This, as things often do in my dreams, goes horribly wrong. We accidentally bring the girl back to life.

If it can even be called life. She is trapped between the two planes, able to be physical or etheric as she chooses. And she's furious with us for this. One by one she picks us off. I do my best to try to rescue the youngest of our group from her fury, but I inevitably fail. Our original group of six has dwindled to two. (Three if you count the ghost girl.) We learn that water will vanquish her, but only if it's tap water. She is one step ahead. The rain outside acts as a shield: we can't attack her. We're pretty much doomed.
