Non-Lucid Dreams
7/22/10 I finally had a fun dream! 1- Bad Karma My family and I are witches. I seem to be an odd combination between Phoebe from Charmed, Hermione, and myself. And I'm in a world of trouble. The previous night, I had snuck into a graveyard and eaten the heart of a demon who was imprisoned there. This act would give me unimaginable power, but only if I am able to vanquish the demon on the following night. All day long, I'm a nervous wreck. My father is the first to notice my strange behavior, but I refuse to tell him what's wrong. That evening, my mom is driving us all to the movies. My dad tells her how odd I've been acting, and she asks if there's anything I need to tell her. "Nope, nothing." She definitely doesn't need to know what I've been up to. "She's lying!" my brother pipes up from the back seat. "She's activated my lie detector! Only... it says that she's just used a rehearsed apology." When we get out of the car, I take my wand out of my mom's purse without anyone noticing and slip it into my back pocket. (There had been something earlier in the dream about how we were all grounded from our wands for misuse of our magic.) *lapse in time* We are now back from the movies; the sun has set. I am not surprised to see the demon waiting for me as I enter my room. It is tall, with the body of a human, the face of an ogre, and the wings of a dragon. It's skin is literally on fire, burning with bright orange flames. All useful spells suddenly flee from my mind as the creature begins its attack. "Alohamora!" I screech, before remembering that that's an unlocking spell. None of my family members will help me. My brother is sleeping and does not wish to be disturbed. My parents have found out why the demon is after me, and say that it's my punishment to fight it alone. But none of my spells are working! In the end, I set a trap and crush the demon to death under a ton of heavy items.
More recall! ^^ 1- Scare Tactics I am looking through my closet, when I see a twisted parody of my skeleton mask. It is solid black, with glowing red eyes, and it's laughing at me evilly. In response, I stick my tongue out at it and make a funny noise. "What was that all about?" My friend asks me. "Oh, nothing." 2- The Observatory While walking down a desolate country road, my mom notices a strange blue star. "It must be a satellite," I tell her. Just then, the "star" falls from the sky and nearly hits me in the head. I barely manage to leap out of the way. Well, it's definitely no satellite. It appears to be several blue, shiny balls stuck together, surrounded by a rotating disk. Upon hearing a strange noise, we climb the bank on the opposite side of the road and discover what appears to be a giant telescope among some official looking vehicles. Apparently we've stumbled upon one of NASA's secret observatories. 3- Bike Ride to Weirdness Riding down the road on my bike, I have to go through all kinds of weird obstacles that shouldn't be there. (Giant spider webs, creepy tunnels, trees in the middle of the road...) Eventually, I come upon a strange place that sends shivers down my spine. I can tell that this really isn't the best part of the neighborhood. Suddenly I am no longer myself, but a male detective in my early forties. I am interrogating some creepy people (along with John, my partner), suspecting that they are up to no good. One of them is holding a demon possessed monkey, which she claims is her son. The people are cordial for a few minutes, but when we ask about the murders that have occurred recently, they flip out and set their "son" on us. We flee to John's house, where his mother tells us she will take care of everything. She has a talk with the monkey's "mother," who says that her son is really a sweet kid. She goes on to say that her (John's mother's) son is a terrible hoodlum with no manners.
I've had the most horrible recall of my whole life this past week, but last night I FINALLY remembered some dreams. (My poor recall isn't the only reason for my absence. I was also somewhat obsessed with a sort of roleplaying game that I'm not even a part of.) 7/18/10 1- Rat-Girl I go into our tool shed to see if I can find the mouse family my mother has told me about. Instead, I see a strange girl sitting over a group of young rats. The girl has silvery white hair and... rat ears on top of her head. WTF? My mom must be blind if she thinks these are mice. The girl sends her "children" off to their room while she talks to me. She explains that she's not a ratgirl, but a wolfgirl. I don't believe her. 2- Searching for Food (short version, because it was rather long and pointless) On the first day of school, the lunch room is closed. I am told that there is a table set up on "Sunny Street" where I can get my food, but by the time I get through the frustrating maze that leads to it, lunch is over.

1- Gross ((I'm not going to describe the events that led up to my lucidity. Believe me, you don't want to hear it. I'll just say that it involves tonsil stones.)) I look in the mirror and decide that I'd better RC for good measure, because this is NOT normal. To my relief, I am dreaming. All I remember is going out in my backyard... 2- Hitler's Reincarnation A man who is the spitting image of Hitler is doing some experiments on a dreamstone. He is progressively getting crazier and crazier. There are some people that he has locked up, and he is talking to one of them. "I wonder how the stone will react," he murmurs, "when it absorbs all the negative energies from your massacre!" He opens the gates, and the prisoners flood out. Men on horseback come, slaughtering every one of them. 3- DEILD attempt I am trying to DEILD, but I don't realize that I'm already dreaming. It's too late to even call it a DEILD anyway, 'cause I've already opened my eyes. I am looking at my reflection in a mirror above my bed. She is gesturing for me to come closer. I refuse, telling HER to come closer. She walks out the mirror door, subsequently walking IN my real door. Cool, now there's two of me! ((I'm semi-lucid at this point.)) My reflection doesn't seem to like me that much, but I don't care. I try to think of something interesting we can do, when... 4- Wild Chase Chris calls me, and I "wake up." "What is it!?" I yell from my bed. "Come here!" He hands me two cookies wrapped up in a piece of paper. He tells me I have to take them to Nathaniel. "Why can't Steven do that?" I ask irritably. "It's his friend." But I go out to the car anyway. For some reason, Jordan's there, and he's in the driver's seat. What's the point of me even going? We start off down the road. From the talking in the back seat, I conclude that Tony, Eve, Charles, and my brother are with us as well. Why are THEY here? Jordan is swerving all over the road, and I yell at him to get in his lane. "I can't! I'll hit the pigeons!" "How can you even see any pigeons!? You don't have your lights on!" While he's trying to find the lights, he swerves off the road and nearly crashes. We come to an abrupt halt. Charlie runs out of the car and pukes all over the road. When he gets back in, I'm about to tell Jordan to let me drive, but he takes off at an alarming speed. "Slow down, you idiot!!!" Now the cops are chasing us. They're shooting! He manages to get away, and I force him to stop the car. "I'm driving!" I fume angrily. He doesn't argue. I have another run-in with the cops, but I'm driving a hell of a lot better than Jordan was. They're only chasing me because of his stupidity... But using my new-found super driving skills, I easily evade them. Steven tells me we have to stop at McDonald's to get his friend's burger. Somehow, I'm on a motorcycle now, and everyone else is just walking around me as I pull up to the drive through. After ordering, I realize that we must have left those cookies in the car... Conclusion: Samael is right. DC's should never be allowed to drive.
Didn't feel like WBTB since my dreams were too interesting. I managed to re-enter it multiple times, but my memory is still pretty vague... 1 through 4- Witchling There are several strange kids who keep popping up; they all have Finnish accents and dress very unusually. While I am trying to solve the mystery of who they are, I realize that the true mystery is who I am. They tell me that I'm a witch, that I just haven't discovered how to use my powers yet. (I also seem to be Tamora, one of my characters... Or rather, she is me. Confusing...) We end up in a mystical stone shop with my school, and the owner is giving out seashells. Everyone else gets a really pretty shell, but I get one that's faded and dull. As I sit down, I think to myself, "I wish I had a better shell." Before my eyes, my seashell is transformed into a beautiful rainbow-colored pearl. In the back of my mind, I (as Hazel) think to Tamora, "You idiot... Don't you know that that pearl belongs to someone else? You can't just steal things like that." I hear the shopkeeper mutter, "What a selfish way for a witch to use magic." A man who I had spoken to before walks up to me. "So, you figured it out. The secret to magic lies within thought." I am then told about a secret order of magic users in a different dimension. The man tells me that I must go there to fulfill my destiny. *lapse in memory* I have been transported to the other dimension. Unfortunately, things aren't quite what I expected. (They rarely are.) I am kidnapped my the crazy matron of an orphanage and become little more than a slave. Poor little Ellie does something to piss off the matron, and she is forced into exile from the other kids. (I say "kids," but none of us are younger than 16 or 17.) She's not even allowed in the building; all she does is wander the grounds like a lost puppy. Alex, the leader of anything rebellious that goes on within the orphanage, sneaks Ellie into one of the courtyards and hides her. *lapse in memory* Alex and I are walking around; he's stirring up trouble, as always. We get caught by one of the guards (who is on our side, so its not like he really cares.) He asks us to help him with extermination. He wants us to help him kill the squirrels and cockroaches that keep getting in through the roof. Bashing squirrels over the head isn't going to help my bloodlust any, I think, But it sure sounds like fun.((Note: Tamora is very morbid.)) To my disappointment, we're supposed to use poison. Ugh, how boring... I sneak away, and while I am inside I hear strange noises. Sounds like Alex... Suddenly the power goes out. Great, what did he do this time? I find him on the roof, looking ecstatic. I can see immediately what he had done; Alex has the gift of absorbing electricity, and he used it to take all the power out of the school. (He had to plug himself into an outlet, though.) I laugh. "You're going to be in HUGE trouble when the matron finds out about this." "She can't stop me now! I have too much power!" I hear school security pulling up. "I'm getting out of here. I refuse to take the blame for you... again."
It took me ages to get back to sleep after WBTB, but it was well worth it! 1- Stuck I am stranded in the middle of the river. This has the potential to not end well... I text both of my parents to let them know where I am, then I text my boss, saying "I might not make it to work tomorrow morning, because I'm stranded in the middle of the river." I make it out sooner than expected. About an hour later I realize that I have failed to inform my boss of my safety. When I get out my phone, I see that I have a reply from him. It reads, "Your text nearly broke my heart..." Um, okay. It wasn't really that big of a deal... 2- Poodle I am at the doctor's office, and I notice a poodle walking around. One of the doctors reaches down and pets it, then walks into a different room. Isn't that unsanitary??? I don't normally like poodles, but this one is very friendly. It has a weird habit of chewing on my hand when I pet it, though, just like my RL dog. 3- Talking Squirrels I walk up to a cage that contains two squirrels. They are arguing over which kind of nut tastes the best: walnuts or pecans. (I vaguely notice a decapitated parrot next to the cage, but for some reason this is never an issue.) What a silly thing to argue about, I think to myself. Maybe if I give them an acorn, they'll agree that it's way better than both of the others. I pick up an acorn off the ground, but before I can even stand back up, an invisible squirrel runs up and steals it from me. 4- Tree Frog I find an unusual (and extremely cute) tree frog near the stepping stones of my house. As I pick it up, I instantly remember the squirrel dream I had. I make a mental note to write it down later, then start looking for a safe place to put my frog. 5- Showing Off (DEILD) I feel myself exit SP, but it's still a struggle to open my eyes. RC just to be sure, but I know I'm dreaming. I get up and look around. Everything about my room is as it should be, except for the graffiti-like markings on my ceiling. Interested, I try to read what it says. Basically a fancy to-do list: Wash room, clean laundry, etc. Hm, that sounds sort of backwards. I walk out and run into my brother. "Hey, wanna see something cool?" I ask him. ((IDK why, but I've always felt the need to show off my abilities to any nearby DCs.)) I stick my hand through the window; the glass melts around my arm, as if liquid. I go all the way through to the outside. "Ha, that's much more fun than using the door!" Now, time to look for Samael. I walk to the road and call out, noticing that my voice is echoing again. Wonder why it hasn't done that before? ((My problem is that I'm too focused on my voice to pay attention to what's supposed to happen. )) I abruptly wake up. 6- No More Messing Around (DEILD) I re-enter the dream and decide to be serious this time. Before I make it out of the house, Chris stops me and says I need to get to work on my to-do list. He mentions something about sending a hammer fist into my leg if I don't get it done when I wake up. "Uh, yeah, whatever," I say, walking out. I hope he doesn't turn out to be one of those DCs who hinders me throughout the entire dream... I walk down the road, thinking about the best method for summoning Samael. I notice that I have gone a bit past Shelby and Taylor's house (which is bright green this time), and I decide to count how many houses are beside theirs to add to my dream map. There's two actual houses, but the second one has three separate buildings to it: The main house, a rather large dog house (or possibly a play house for kids), and a beautiful building made of cobblestone. I walk through their yard, examining things. I vaguely think about trespassing, but it's not like it really matters if I'm caught. This is a beautiful place, I am constantly amazed by my mind's ability to come up with all these little details. I wake up. 7- Portals and Mirrors I chain back into the dream, but something distracts me and I believe myself to be awake. When I make it to the living room, Chris is there waiting for me. "Remember our deal? You haven't finished your to-do list yet." "Wait, what? How can you possibly remember that, I was dreaming when you... Wait." I RC and become lucid. "Yay! You made me lucid!" Ignoring whatever he is saying, I go through the window once more and continue my search for Samael. Calling out doesn't seem to be working ((because I wasn't doing it right)) so maybe I can summon a portal. I think about it, and one starts to rise up from the ground. It looks like a large round shadow at first, then it slowly turns more tangible, and then... puffs out of existence. Oh well, portals have never been my forte. Maybe a mirror would be more useful. I remember one of my first LDs where I used a mirror to travel to outer space. This may be my best chance. I look around and spot an empty car in the middle of the road. Perfect. I use the rearview mirror and say, "Show me where Samael is. I need to see Samael." A figure starts to appear in the mirror, but then I notice cars coming up behind me. I think getting run over would seriously hurt my chances of success, so I use super strength and push the car out of the middle of the road. Who would park a car in the middle of the road in the first place? Before I can return my attention to the mirror, I notice two people on motorcycles driving by. On the red bike is a lady with short black hair; on the green bike is a man who looks a lot like... Lucifer. "Hey, wait!" I yell out excitedly, but the noise of their bikes is too loud, they can't hear me. In a split second, they are gone. More distractions; Now there are a lot of people around, and my brother and his friends are throwing things at me. I ignore this. "Hey, do you know of anyone around here who calls themself Samael or Jack?" "My last name is Jack," says the boy standing next to my brother. I sigh. "Well, if you happen to find him, let me know." The dream ends. IWL I'd better get up and write this down, before I forget... but my body feels so heavy. I'm still being affected by the SP. I manage to sit up ((which probably never really happened, most likely HI)), then fall back over and go back to sleep. 8- One of those WTF moments There is a guy lying in his bed, talking to someone about a dream he just had about them. I think he's talking to me, until I hear him say, "At least you let me touch you this time." Okay, that definitely didn't happen in any of the dreams I just had. Who is he talking to? My vision shifts a bit. I can now see that he is talking to a poster on his wall. The poster is of two male cartoon characters, sleeping together. Or rather, one is asleep, and the other one is talking to the guy. He says something, and the guy laughs. Doesn't he realize that he's still dreaming? I wonder. Does he honestly believe that his poster would be talking to him? "Good night, boys," the man says to the poster, then turns out the light and goes back to sleep.
7/1/10 Woah, it's July first? That means I had my first lucid of the month! ^^ 1- Holly the Hypnotic Vampire I am a woman named Felicity, trapped in a room along with my friends by the evil vampire, Holly. We've been there for quite a while... We're starving to death, and so, so thirsty. "I'm REALLY thirsty, Felicity. We gotta get outta here." "I know, Frank, I know." Suddenly something within him changes. He starts babbling about how he can feel the life energy flowing through him. Soon the others do the same. I seem to be the only one unaffected by this madness. Don't they realize the life energy isn't flowing through them? It's flowing out of them! They're becoming vampires! I try to tell them to fight it, to resist what Holly has done to them, but she is fighting me every step of the way. She tells them that I am no longer worthy to be their leader, that they should listen to her, instead. "Who should we believe?" Theresa asks, confused. "The one you love the most," Holly answers in a hypnotic voice. "Who do you really love?" Theresa considers this for a moment. "Holly," she answers. "Holly," the others echo. I give Theresa a dirty look. "Oh, and... uh, what is her name...? Felicity," she amends half-heartedly. Ugh, she almost forgot my name. I think it's safe to say they're a lost cause. "Are we always going to be this pale?" I ask Holly in annoyance. "I mean, can't vampires get a tan?" She ignores me. 2- Evil Sleep Mask My dad's girlfriend has a cute pet rat named Jenny. She is sitting on her shoulder, and doing funny things to make us laugh. Hm, I need to play with my rats more often. I "wake up" and find that I am alone. I wonder where everyone went... Oh, well, maybe I can play with Jenny. When I go over to the cage, I see that it is now the size of a cage at the zoo. As if that wasn't weird enough, there are all kinds of unusual animals within... Several of them look like giant, carnivorous sloths, and one looks like the mammal version of an alligator. All of the animals are trying to eat each other. There are a few small monkeys in the cage, too. They come up to the bars, quivering in fear, giving me a pleading look. "Aww, hey little guys! You're so cuuute!" This is obviously a dream. I RC and become lucid. Yay! Time to look for Samael. I call out loudly, "Samael!!!!" My voice sounds cool; it echoes throughout the dream world. The thought of those monkeys distracts me for a moment... Maybe I could make on of them my familiar, since I'm looking for one. No, one thing at a time. I call out again. I have somehow arrived at a dark and abandoned country road. Now my eyes are trying to close themselves. Ugh, it's the stupid sleep mask I'm wearing IRL. I take it off, which works for a few seconds before it reappears on my face. I can see through it, but it's making my eyes close... When they do I wake up.

I was lazy again, and didn't take any notes during the night... 1- Zombie Girlfriend My friend is feeling really down, missing his deceased girlfriend. I decide that this is as good a time as any to practice Necromancy. The scene changes. I am her, buried deep underground, cold and dead. Suddenly I am alive again. I can't breathe.... there's too much dirt... I struggle to the surface. The scene changes again. Somehow, I have a bad feeling about this. I must get to her grave before she causes any trouble... ((Not really sure what happens. I vaguely remember being semi-lucid, stuck in one of those continuing dream-loops.))
I didn't post yesterday due to some really terrible recall, but today the problems seems to be fixed! 1- Bravery Dark forces are gathering; they will strike tonight. For unknown reasons, I seem to be their main target. Oh well. I won't be going down without a fight. My only two allies on this hellish night are my dad and my brother. I don't bother telling them that this is a suicide mission, they'll figure it out soon enough. I hear helicopters overhead as I walk out the back door. That blasted goblin is already at it... the sun isn't even down yet. "I doubt I'll be getting ANY sleep tonight," I mutter to my dad as we crouch down under the deck, out of sight of the helicopters. I realize that a fight is imminent; I can only hope that I fight as well as I do in my dreams. Because this is real, and I won't be coming back if I should fail. ((Ummmm..... )) I have armed myself with an axe somewhere along the line, and as I'm waiting I mutter to myself, "My axe is my buddy/ I never leave without him/ Me and my axe/ Will turn your neck to a bloody fountain." The words make me feel stronger, less afraid of what is to come. ((Note: I've never listened to ICP in my life. I just happen to know those few words. Thanks, Z. )) I hear rustling in the trees. It must be the goblin or one of his cronies. "I'm going to go check it out," I whisper to my dad, sneaking off toward the noise. As I reach the trees, a feral dog leaps from the shadows, hitting me with such force that my axe goes flying. By some miracle, I manage to keep my balance. But now I'm weaponless. "Hurry UP!" I yell at my dad and my brother as the dog tears at my bare arms. I can't let it get near my face... My backup arrives, but they aren't much help. My dad is stabbing at the dog with a letter opener, but no damage is being done. I realized that it is possessed with dark energy, and its skin is impenetrable. I realize what must be done. My dad drops the letter opener, and I quickly snatch it up and brutally stab the dog's eyes out. If anything, at least now it won't be able to see us. But to my satisfaction, I see that I have done much more than blind the once-dog. The skin around where its eyes used to be peels back, revealing the inside of it's hollowed out head. I must have released the energy possessing it, now it is a mere shell with no life force. Thinking that I am finished, I take a step back... Only to spot an identical dog crouching in the foliage. Before it has a chance to attack, I lunge at it with the letter opener, sending two quick and powerful jabs with the letter opener into each of it's eyes. It now shares the same fate as its partner. Now I'm angry. Those dogs didn't deserve such cruelty. How dare he use innocents for his own evil desires? I will make him pay dearly. I remember now that there is an object in my possession that neither the goblin nor his cronies can touch. I think about fusing this with water. If I put such a combination in a squirt gun, they couldn't come within 5 feet of me without having their skin boiled off. It would be perfect! ((Unfortunately, I wake up.)) 2- Post Apocalyptic The world has ended, and somehow it is all my fault. I am wanted throughout the world for my crimes; everywhere I go, I am chased down by both the police and by regular people hoping to get rewarded with my capture. I finally find a nice couple who will shelter me, and discover that my brother is also staying with them. Something seems a bit... off, though. Despite their kindness, I don't trust the couple at all. Even though they tell me otherwise, I believe that my parents are still alive. I go off one day to find them. This, as one would expect, didn't end well. I don't remember exactly what happened, but it involves the "nice" couple trying to kill me and my brother. I do eventually find my parents alive and well, at least. 3- Vice President (fragment) My mother has accepted a job to become vice president... of Europe. ((Note: I believe this fragment has some connection with why that goblin was after me, but I can't remember.)) 4- Accent (fragment) A man says Samael's name in an incredibly sexy accent.

6/25/10 Yay! I got a stripe on my belt! Anyway, for my dreams: 1- In Which Hazel Does Not Act Her Age My brother comes into my room with this old (fake) sword that he used to have. He begins knocking things off my shelf and just being a pest in general. When he doesn't stop like I tell him to, I throw a temper tantrum like a five year old. O.o After it is over, I wonder why I am acting like this... Oh, it must be a dream. I reverse time and handle the situation more maturely. 2- A Family Outing I go out to a really strange restaurant with my family. I don't trust these people, something isn't right... As predicted, the owners are up to no good. They are locking people in cages out back. Well, they certainly aren't going to get ME. The only problem is, they have some kind of strange machine that makes them not feel pain. "We'll take care of it," my parents assure me as they allow themselves to be locked up in the cage. "You act as the decoy." No problem. I take off, and the crazies are quick to give chase. Hm, if I could just run a bit faster... But no, they're still catching up to me. Time to fight. I fight like an expert, but it doesn't matter. They can't feel pain and I can. Just as I am beginning to think I will lose, the one standing in front of me suddenly crumples to the ground, crying out. "Ah, shit, they broke the machine!" I grin in triumph as my parents and my brother arrive on the scene. "Took you long enough!"
1- Bite of an Orc My parents have gone undergound, to the orcs' lair. I am waiting outside. At the sounds of a battle, I suddenly become lucid and run through the forest towards my house. "I don't want to fight orcs again," I mutter to myself. ((Um... I've never fought orcs before. Ever.)) "Besides... isn't there something I have to do?" By the time I make it to my house, I am no longer lucid. My parents come a bit later. They tell me that they won, but that the orcs bit them and now they're infected. I see that they now have green and red orc skin. "Don't worry," I say, "You'll only be HALF orc. I got bit by one a while ago, and I'm still half werewolf." 2- Tattoo I get a really ornate tattoo all over my face. The next morning, I cannot figure out what possessed me to do something so stupid. Everyone's going to think I've gone off the deep end... I look in the mirror and am delighted to find that it is just a temporary tattoo.

We had a REALLY tough practice at Karate yesterday. So, as I expected, I was far too tired to write any of my dreams down whenever I woke up. (Surprisingly good recall for such conditions, though.) During one of my early sleep cycles, I kept waking myself up practicing my kicks. Seriously, I must have done this five or six times. 1- Weirdness... As Usual My brother and I are taking a walk when we pass by a dog pen. We know for a fact that the owners of these dogs have moved, so we worry that they will die here. "I'm taking this one home with me," he says, petting a big gray dog that resembles a wolf. "We already have two dogs at the house, Mama will never let you keep him." "So? I'll just hide him in my room." That is a horrible idea, but at that point my eyes fall on the other dog; He is a small pit bull mix... and so adorable! He gives me those sad puppy dog eyes, as if to say "You're not going to leave me here all by myself, are you?" No, of course not. I take the dog home and hide him in my closet. About a day later, I am thinking to myself about how much trouble Steven is going to get into if he gets caught with that dog. Wait a minute... didn't I get a dog, too? GAH! I jump to my feet and run to my room, opening the closet door. My dog is sitting huddled up in the corner. "I've been trapped in here for a whole day!" He whines, shuddering. "I'm so sorry! You must really need to use the bathroom, don't you?" He nods, whimpering. I can't take him outside, because my parents are in the other room. I'll just have to get some kind of container... I find a long, rectangular food container and tell him to go in that. He raises his leg, and... "You're missing!" I say urgently, not wanting to have to clean up dog pee from my closet. "Oops..." he finally manages to go in the container, but it fills up so much that now he's up to his shoulders. He tells me it feels like a nice, hot bath. WTF? "Um... Now you need a real bath. Wait here." I get another one of the containers and fill it with warm, soapy water. I bring it back to my closet, glad to see that he hasn't caused any more trouble. "Okay, now get in and wash yourself off." As he is bathing, my grandmother walks in. ((Why is she here?)) She says I'm going to be in trouble for having a dog in the house. 2- Beware the Spider Queen I am lying in bed, when I notice a HUGE spider on the wall above me. This thing is about the size of a cat, and it's giving me the look of death. Normally, I like spiders. I don't even mind when they crawl on me. But this is a different story. Freaked, I jump out of bed, eyes on the spider. It turns it's body, following my every move with it's eight beady eyes. It looks like it's about to pounce... I run from the room slamming the door behind me. My grandma is here again. I learn that she is with an ancient demon slaying society, and that she is here to pass the legacy on to me. She tells me that the spider can only be killed if it's web is destroyed. Otherwise it will just keep coming back to life. *time lapse* I think we've killed the spider by this point, but my memory isn't very clear. My grandmother gives me a weapon that resembles a giant metal boomerang. It instantly reminds me of Sango's Hiraikotsu. 3- School Days I run from the house as the bus nearly leaves us. Once inside, I go to the back where Shelby is sitting. It's the first time I've seen her since the... incident. We talk about it; she tells me all the harsh things that her mother said about me. 4- Forgotten Dreams I am in a video store with my aunt. There are some phones on display, and I see that I have typed some dreams up on one of them. Woah, I don't remember these at all! When did I write this? Suddenly I look up at the screen that shows previews for various movies. It is showing a preview for a sequel to Coraline, called "Revenge of the Other Mother." Wow, I have to see that! 5- Pattie and Wilhelm (fragment) ((Uh, I'm not really sure what this is, to be honest... It seems like it must have been epic in it's entirety, because I have several memories after this of telling other people about it and posting it in my DJ.)) Something about a ghost named Pattie mourning for her lost love, Wilhelm. 6- Pokemon (fragment) Vague memory of Pokemon. Pikachu doesn't look like it's supposed to... Looks more like a Shroomish.
Woah, I'm glad I decided to go back to sleep. 1- Puppy with a Thousand Names I just bought a cute little dachshund puppy, but I can't come up with a name. Everytime I think of one I like, I forget it and come up with something else. To start with I'm calling her Doris, then Matilda, then Samantha... I teach her how to play fetch.... She's just so cuuute! 2- Battle of Fire and Water I am surrounded by evil monks. My master is wounded; this battle is in my hands. But how can ONE win against THOUSANDS? I am barely able to keep them at bay with my fire magic, and my mana is running low. I quickly drink a potion which restores my power. But what good will it do? How can I defeat them? "Get them away from the floodgates," my master instructs. After a few failed attempts, I do as he says. Water rushes out of the gates and they all drown. 3- Playing with Time Warps I am with the Doctor; he is a bit impatient with my cousin, so he decides to screw with her head a bit. He creates a time warp, and she walks up to him just as he is talking to a past version of her. She freaks out and runs away. Our laughter is interrupted by the sound of marching. A whole legion of warriors is coming out of Wal-Mart! "You of all people should know the dangers of playing with time warps!" I accuse as the army advances on us. "Look what you've done!" The general wants us both dead. Before he gives the order to attack, he randomly stabs an arrow into the head of a dwarf standing beside him. Okay, what was the point of that? The battle commences. I have a sword, and am actually doing a really good job of killing the soldiers. This is fun! The army is actually a mixture of humans and enslaved dwarves... I end up killing the arrow-dwarf's brother, and he wants revenge. (How is he still alive with that arrow sticking out of his head?) I knock him underneath a car. Now he can't sit up without the arrow hitting the bottom of the vehicle. Looks like a very painful way to be stuck... The scene changes; now I'm working for the General. I get an email about something detrimental to the General's plans. I can't let him see this... This could be the key to getting rid of him once and for all. 4- Expectations (DEILD) Darkness. I'm not in SP anymore, I guess I woke up. But I RC anyway and become lucid. Yay! Only now, I can't open my eyes. Hmm... I take my sleep mask off, which has transferred over into the dream, but my eyes still won't open. I use my fingers and try to PRY them open... still no success. Oh well, I'll be able to see through them in a minute. I wander around the house blindly until I can see. I feel sort of confused though... For some reason I think I'm invisible. I go in my brother's room, where Steven and Matt are listening to the radio. I want to mess with them, so I throw something off the dresser at them. Apparently I'm not invisible, after all. My attention turns to the radio. Everything it is saying makes perfect sense. The commercials and the songs are all in real life clarity. Do they have this playing IRL? If not, my subconscious is awesome! I go outside. It's really dark, but I ignore this. I'm already having problems with staying in the dream, I need to stabilize this before I worry about the lights. (Or lack thereof.) I'm thinking about Leroy all of a sudden, and a man suddenly appears in front of me. Thinking it's my dream guide, I abruptly lose all my self-control and leap at him, giving him a big hug. I see a bit too late that I'm wrong, that this is just a random DC, and I wake up. ((Oops. I'm glad that wasn't Leroy, after all, since I had to go and act like that. Again.)) 5- A WILD within a DEILD I DEILD back into the dream. Yet again, I'm having the same problem with my eyes. I briefly consider ripping my eyelids off, but decide I don't really want to find out what that would feel like. I walk out of my room, into the hallway. I still can't see, but I am able to tell where I am just as easily. This dream is still really unstable... Maybe if I WILD within the dream, into a different dream, it will fix things? Worth a shot, anyway. I lay down right there on the floor, close my eyes (they were open, despite my blindness) and enter SP. There is a vague sensation of rolling around, and then... 6- Exploration ...I am fully lucid in a new dream. Better yet, I can SEE again! Now I suddenly feel as if I need to prove myself for some reason. Maybe I'll go fight that werewolf... I head off toward it's lair. It's still pretty dark out, and there are random people along the road. Once I reach M's house I run into two mean looking dogs. I think they may have been in the pack that tried to kill me in another dream... "Hey, little doggies!" I say fondly, using passive control to make them like me. I pet them. "Wanna come help me kill a big bad werewolf?" Apparently not, they run off. I turn and fly toward the south. I'm near where I'm supposed to be; the warehouse where the werewolf lives is somewhere back here. Now, however, I'm distracted by the mountains beyond that. I had read something that The Cusp posted about dream mapping, about how there are certain borders on the edges of your dreamworld and that it's impossible to get past them. Well, I'll just have to see about that for myself. After a lot of flying and climbing, I make it over the mountains... only to find more mountains in the distance. Gah... I'm not going that far. Below me, there is a city. Since I'm here, I might as well check it out. I jump down, right in the middle of the road. Cars are coming at me from all directions, but I am unconcerned. It's fun leaping over them. A little tiny car drives by... I wonder what kind of person would drive something that small? I catch up with it and sit on top, riding through the city. I reach the lower district and get off. I am surprised by the variety of people, and how real they all look. Everything is so detailed; how could my mind possibly come up with all these different people? The dream fades, and I wake up.
So... sleepy... 1- Untitled I am riding in a car with a guy about my age. He is working for some sort of secret agency, and says he has to kill the person in the car ahead of us. "Um, what?" He barely gives me enough time to brace myself as he slams his foot down on the gas pedal, crashing into the other car with full force. My ribs hurt a little, but otherwise I am fine. The guy puts his arm around me, and I ride leaning up against him for the rest of the ride. The scene changes; I am watching from a 3rd person POV as a Japanese girl transfers to an English school. She cannot speak English, so she locates another student who speaks Japanese to be translator. They speak nonsense-Japanese, but there are subtitles, so I know what they are saying. "Hideski ka?" "Hideski wa Ayumi." TRANSLATION: "Who are you?" "I'm Ayumi." The scene switches again. I am now with the Japanese girl, but she is no longer Japanese. We are trying out for track. My legs aren't working, and she isn't really trying. Neither one of us really want to be here... All the rest of the girls are following this one guy around, chanting his name. They're practically worshiping him, since he's the fastest runner. The coach tells him not to get in a car accident and get himself paralyzed, because a lot of people are counting on him. O.o
1- A Chase I leave the school after a rather rough day. Oh great, our bus isn't even here. Perfect... I am waiting with my brother, when I realize I must be dreaming. Everything is suddenly underwater... "We don't need a bus, we can swim home," I say. Once home, I take Steven into an incredibly dark forest. This would be a good time to see if I can overcome my "darkeness=lack of control syndrome," but Steven gets scared and starts attacking me, forcing me to take him back to the house. He continues to chase me, as an evil demon voice resounds from all around us. I'm not really paying attention to what the voice is saying, because I am enjoying my run. I fly up onto the house and find some really cool coins. I start to pick them up, then remember, "Oh yeah, it's not like I can keep them." Plus, Steven is still attacking me. This is getting annoying. He throws some large blocks of wood at my head, but I slow them down using telekinesis and easily catch them. I don't bother attacking him; I have some stuff I need to do... Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be looking for Samael. I prepare to fly away, but my brother grabs ahold of my foot and nearly breaks my toe off. "That doesn't hurt," I tell him, rolling my eyes. "It's a dream, you idiot." It does hurt, though, and I wonder if I kicked the wall or something IRL. My brother disappears, and I turn to go find Samael. I am just about to try a summoning spell, when the dream deteriorates and I wake up. 2- City of Bedlam, pt I In the early 1700's, my dad and I own a small shop off the coast of Charleston. We sell all our wares, and must make the long and perilous journey across the Atlantic to stock up on supplies. We are poor; so all we have is a small rowboat. It will have to do. "Getting there is the easy part," I tell my dad. "But we still have pirates to worry about. At this statement, I notice two things. 1) Another rowboat ahead of us, and 2) a pirate ship (namely, the Black Pearl) sailing our way. The girl in the rowboat near us is a young Elizabeth Swan. To rescue us from the pirates, she flings salt water in my dad's eyes and makes us crash on some island. We are greeted there by the island's inhabitants. They allow us to stay, provided we follow their rules. (And they have many, many rules.) They show us a specific room of the castle that we are not allowed to enter, because it holds some of their most treacherous secrets. I walk around, getting to know everybody. Before we know it, we have been staying in the city for weeks. It becomes my duty to vacuum the castle... with a very small hand vac. First I must pour some white cleaning liquid all over the floor, then vacuum it up. I am still working at this when I wake up. 3- City of Bedlam, pt II Back in the city, I notice that I have done a very poor job of painting my nails. I have nail polish all over my fingers, and I even missed two of my nails altogether. I decide I'd better redo them... But I can't remember where I put my fingernail polish. It must be in one of the bathrooms, but there are just so many! I begin my search. After a while, I accidentally enter a really dark, creepy room that with holds a talking shrunken head. Realizing that this is the room I am not permitted to enter, I shriek and run out. "What are you doing?" a girl asks me as I nearly run into her. I recognize her as one of the shop keepers on the shore of this island. "Oh, I'm just looking for my fingernail polish," I say hurriedly and keep looking. Outside, I notice a tree that seems to be a Christmas ornament... but it's June. Taking a closer look, I am shocked to see a fairy staring back at me. "Uh... do you know where my fingernail polish is?" I ask dumbly. She says something in sign language. "I don't understand that," I say. Suddenly more and more fairies appear in the tree. I begin to worry that they will cause trouble. "We have a problem," I tell the man who walks up behind the small tree. "What's that?" The fairies abruptly disappear, and he never notices. I was going to point them out, but I quickly change my mind. "Um, I can't find my fingernail polish," I say instead. 4- Fire Ants, pt I I "wake up" with fire ants in my bed, biting me. I hurriedly leave the room and tell my aunt about them. 5- Fire Ants, pt 2 I "wake up" again. WTF? Fire ants are biting me! So that other part was a dream? I go and tell my aunt about the fire ants, then ask her if I had already told her. She says that I did. But... why would I go back to sleep in a bed full of ants? 6- City of Bedlam, pt III A hurricane is attacking the castle. I am nearly swept away by a flood of water as one of the guards leads me up to the balcony. We are all clutching on to the sturdy bars of the balcony to avoid being blown away. Suddenly, the ocean starts throwing things at us: refrigerators, pieces of wrecked ships, all kinds of stuff! It sends it directly at us! I am dodging as best I can, while trying to knock the others out of harms way. After what seems like forever, the storm ends. 7- City of Bedlam, pt IV ((I don't know why I kept re-entering this dream. It wasn't that fun, and I was getting rather tired of these weird people.)) I decide I must leave this city. I've had enough of the wackos who live here. They tell me that the only exit is through Pointer Street, so that is where I go. Or at least, that's where I TRY to go. I end up turning onto Clutter Street instead, which is against the law. Apparently Clutter Street is where they throw all the dead bodies when they execute someone, and no one is allowed to go down there. They kill me, but this is only a temporary punishment. In this City, if you make a contribution (such as vacuuming the castle), you will be brought back to life after execution. This time I make sure to turn on Pointer Street. Unfortunately for me, a man is out shopping with his wife... butt naked. It is illegal to see someone naked unless you are married to them, so again I am killed. Frustrated, I walk all the way back to Pointer Street, making sure to keep my eyes averted from the naked man. As I am trying to avoid him, I accidentally bump into one of the guards. I immediately apologize, not wanting to be executed again. He just smiles at me and keeps walking. I pass by a man, who comments on how I was sucking up to the guards to avoid punishment. I am now faced with a problem. The naked guy is blocking my path... How am I supposed to get out of here without looking at him? An idea comes to me: I take out my sleeping mask and use it as a blindfold, feeling my way along until I make it out of the city.
