    Broke that Nasty Dry Spell

    by , 10-17-2012 at 06:25 PM (728 Views)
I FINALLY went to bed at midnight instead of staying up past 2 or 3am. I just really LD better that way. So after I saw Chris off at 7:15am, I went back to be at about 7:30. It took maybe 15-20 minutes to get nice and drowsy, but my mind still sharp. I felt vibrations and got super happy I waited for an image to form on the orange, blotchy screen that comprises the back of my eyelids. I saw a really beautiful horse gallop around, then vanish. I decide to open my eyes and check the room. It's my bedroom of course, but I notice some fancy crown moulding that doesn't exist in real life. Dream. I slowly got out of bed, and the pillow and comforter were stuck to the back of my head as always, lol. But I ignored it as always. I instantly though of the vampire TOTM, so I set off to go find one. Before I could even get to the door, I saw a figure, he was hooded and cloaked so I couldn't see his face. We walked toward eachother quite quickly, and faced eachother. In the shadow of his hood, I could see a greenish looking face, which was quite demonic. He looked at me with a look of pure evil, and it must have scared me awake. Because I woke up lol.

Now, because I'm a naughty girl, I waited a loooong time after these dreams to write them down, so I have the details confused in the next 2 LDs in the DEILD chain I had this morning. But I distinctly remember having vibrations 2 more times. The rest I remember goes like this (I'm just combining everything into one dream): After realising I'm lucid again, I got up out of bed, and left the bedroom. It was really dark, like a cloudy morning at 6am kinda dark, just faint grey-blue light. I kept shouting for light, turning on switches, baaaaah! Once I got to the living room, there was some light pouring from the seams around the front door. I was also blind in my left eye. OH and noteworthy is this (because I made a thread about it ages ago), while I was blind in my left eye, I could see the right part of my nose. You know, like if you close one eye irl, you can see a side of your nose. I was kinda excited about that in the dream, because my subC constructed my face like well. Anyway, before I got to the front door, I saw a pretty woman, who appeared to be in her 40's. She was a little shorter than I am, petite, with shoulder-length sandy-blonde hair. She had a red cashmere sweater on, and jeans. She smiled at me, and I saw that she had vampire teeth. I asked her to bite me. She came up to me and started to bite my neck, but I remembered I wanted to do this in front of a mirror so I could see any transition, as well as feel it. Her teeth were already hooked into my neck, so I just reached around her waist and picked her up, and walked to the hall where a full length mirror had appeared. At this point, I could see out of both eyes again, and there seemed to be a little mroe light. Hooray for distractions! The biting felt really good, kinda like getting a super sexy hickey. She was kinda turning me on (I know, big surprise huh). When I got to the mirror, I set her back down on her feet without disturbing the biting. I made eyecontact with my reflection, but noticed I couldn't see the vampire in the mirror! I could still feel her, and I could still see her in my peripheral vision. How old school vampire flick Anyway, she broke away and said she had to go do something, I forgot what. So I got closer to the mirror and examined the bite mark: The flesh around the 2 bite holes was snow white for about 3-inch diameter circle. The 2 tiny holes were raised and puffy, and somehow even whiter. They were so swolled that they basically shut themselves, so there was no blood. How tidy of her. I stared at myself in the mirror, waiting for something to happen, anything at all, a difference in form, feeling, sound, vision. But there was nothing. Then I woke up.

Like I said, I combined everything I remember from the last 2 LDs, but the vampire chick was in the 3rd one, I remember that much. When I woke from that one in front of the mirror, I didn't have any more LDs.

edit: I remember more about the 2nd LD now!! Because I was just rereading my entry. I so recommend everyone do that! Anyway, the 2nd times I had the vibrations, I "woke" to a dream where I was lying in bed on my stomach, and something crawled on my back. Haven't had that happen in a long time. He grabbed my hands and held me down. Everytime I tried to move or free my hands, he'd grip harder and growl. I remember finding it kinda funny. I think I tried talking to him, but that's all I remember. If I remember more I'll certainly add it.

Awesome LD! And congrats on breaking your dry spell...those are never fun, and it feels SO GOOD to finally be past them!

I have those DEILD chains sometimes, though it's been awhile. I've had them before to where it seemed as if hours had passed, but it had only been an hour or so in waking life time.

I know it feels great! It's my fault though, because I really just need to go to bed at midnight and not later.

Right on!! What a chain. It seems that a good night's sleep is just so key, at least for me. There's nothing like those long, ultra-rich REM periods in the late morning. And it sounds like you hit this one just right.

As for the recall, I think you did just fine! I think DEILD chains just tend to be a little muddy by nature. It's nice that you were able to recall the first LD in this long of a chain... I guess having the crap scared out of you helps there. That 2nd LD might have been a little more than I could take without losing my cool but it seems like that stuff doesn't throw you off.

That third segment was really, really good though. I don't know why, but the mirror idea hadn't occurred to me for this task. In retrospect it seems like easily the best way to get a full look at the special effects your mind puts together for the transformation. It also allowed for that cool detail where your sire wasn't reflected in the mirror. If that's old school, then I'm old school. I was sure your reflection would start fading a la Michael J, Fox in Back to the Future! (Edit: I mean that Michael J. Fox himself faded of course. I do not mean to imply that Marty McFly is a vampire.)

Yeah I totally thought my reflection would fade too!! The feeling I got from the dream, and I didn't include this in the blog, but in retrospect I remember feeling like she quit too soon. So she didn't want to turn me, just make me her bitch.

      Bitch.

It seems like you opened your eyes way earlier than I would have. Perhaps I wait too long? I know this dream is old but was it just really strong imagery or was it more that made you decide to open your eyes?

Xanous: it wasn't strong imagery at all. Ordinarily I don't see much at all, I just get the vibrations. In this dream I didn't get the vibrations, just that super brief horse thing. But that was a rare case. And yes I open my eyes almost ridiculously early. I didn't used to because I was afraid I would be opening my real life eyes. But you would be soooo surprised by what can happen.
