    1. Fleeing From a Bear and Hunting in the Arctic

      Is there some sort of connection between summer and really insane dreams? Being chased and escaping long-haired bears simply by running away, hunting as a bird, and shopping for pokemon cards hanging on a tall sheet of ice, all in one dream. A long one, too!

      I was in my subconscious' rendition of the arctic. This place wasn't as flat and barren as you see in photos; instead, it was relatively bumpy with hills and miniature cliffs all over the place. Strangely, there was a very high ceiling surrounding everything too, just floating in the sky - there were no walls; you could see arctic scenery for miles if you looked, but the ceiling still made everything relatively dim because it blocked out the sun. And you couldn't tell where the ceiling started and ended.

      There were a few thicker logs strewn around, all of them acting as ramps to get to higher vantage points. One of them had branches that were much more twisted and stronger than they should've been, almost as thick as the log itself. The whole place felt deliberately set up and it almost reminded me of a museum diorama, but to my dream self, it still looked very real.

      Within this setting, I was standing around and talking to my sister and one of my friends. I can't remember the subject matter, but I had essentially stolen something from my friend, and they didn't know I was the person who stole it. I was trying to keep them from discovering that. This conversation lasted a few minutes. We were in a sort of alcove, surrounded by walls of ice about 7 feet tall. There were a few large logs that were angled against the walls, which provided escape routes if we wanted to leave the alcove. I broke away from the group and started to walk toward one of the logs, hoping to climb it out of the alcove. However, as I reached the base of the log, I came face-to-face with a large brown bear. The bear was big, probably eight or nine feet tall if it stood on all fours and it had especially long fur, twice the length of a normal bear's fur. It bared its teeth at me and opened its mouth, roaring in my face. I turned and booked it towards the other log, running up it and stopping when I got to the top. I looked back down and saw the brown bear coming up the log quickly, a speed that would only be possible if it were just skimming over the surface and not actually making contact with the wood.

      Forgetting about the two people who were still in the alcove, I turned and ran away from the bear, hoping I'd lose it. Somehow, I outran it. Still running, I took a right turn, veering behind a big ice shelf. As I turned the corner of this shelf, I slowed down to a walk. The bizarre "ceiling" that I described earlier disappeared, and it was now lighter outside; it was definitely daytime because the sky was blue and I could see the sun. The snow was pretty close to a pure white, maybe with a tint of blue.

      As I walked, I thought, 'I have to start a new life here, because I can't go back'. I started looking for something to eat.

      Eventually, I came across a small group of evergreen trees. There were a few brown sticks and twigs growing out of the ground around them, too. Some of them combined to form other, tinier trees. Between two of these trees, I saw a small ferret, mostly white with tiny black eyes and grey ears. It was probably twelve inches long, and not quite as pudgy as a regular ferret. It was sniffing along the ground, moving as if in slow motion, but twitching and acting like a regular ferret all the same. I knew I would need to eat it.

      Somewhere during this, I assumed the form of a bird. I leaped at the ferret in slow motion, and I saw one of my feet reaching out in front of me, in an attempt to grab it. The foot was dark grey, and it had four toes with black talons. I ended up passing right over top of the ferret, missing it, and landing on the ice in front of it. I spun around to see where the ferret was, but it wasn't there anymore, even though it should have been. Instead, I heard it "chirp" behind me.

      The dream skipped a bit, and then I was a person again. I was at the base of a snowy hill, digging a small hole in the snow with my right hand, using my fingernails to scrape the slushy ice out. The final hole looked extremely neat and slick, not at all like I'd dug it up using my hand; it was more like someone had taken a cylinder, shoved into the snow, and pulled out a snow sample. Then I snuck to the top of the hill, crouching down a bit, and hung around there for a while. I'm not sure what happened directly after this, but after what I "knew" was some chunk of time, I returned to the hole and found a small, square-shaped steak right outside of the hole. I had "caught" the ferret.

      I ate it, but I can't remember how or what it tasted like.

      After eating, I started to walk back to where I'd ran from the brown bear, past the ice shelf. Now, however, I "knew" that there were Pokemon cards on the shelf. There were seven or eight small metal nails pinned evenly in two rows; hanging from them were cards in realistic plastic sleeves (not the reflective kind, just clear). A few of the cards were big, around the size of the cover of a small novel. I spotted these ones immediately and knew they were fake.

      The dream ended.

    2. Sheep Stampede

      This was the first in a set of 3 dreams I had this morning, one after the other.

      This dream strongly reminded me of the wildebeest stampede in The Lion King. I was in a Pixar-style world, animated, with pale, lighter colors and three-dimensional animated characters. Visualize a pale shade of baby blue, just the color. Then add in an open plot of land, about thirty by thirty feet, with a basic white wooden fence on opposite sides of this plot; two of the sides had no fence and just went off to basic grassy areas. On the opposite side of the two white fences, stretching out into the distance, was farmland and lots of pale, lighter green grass that looked like something from a video game. Past the fence on my right, there was a small house. This house was one-story, and really small for anyone to be living in it, at around only four feet tall! It was a paler yellow and had a rounded, burgundy roof and thick features, including a light grey window frame surrounding a completely black window, and a slightly lighter burgundy door. I didn't pay any attention to this house after looking at it for a few moments.

      Up ahead, on one of the unfenced sides, was a hill. It rose up from the ground and was mainly the same light green grass, with a few cobblestones. Somehow it also managed to have the colors light yellow, peach, and tan, arranged randomly in irregularly-placed, flat squares of color. I could look at the hill and see a grassy one, but also one with the colors and squares I'd just described.

      Although the lower area was grassy, when I walked it was hard and not cushioned at all - just like in a video game. I looked around and saw other animals like dogs, cats, zebras, and birds (which were the size of the other animals!) They were smaller, only about two feet tall, and weren't "cutesy" with big heads or eyes, but they were rather cartoony.

      The ground suddenly began to shake, and all at once, a couple hundred sheep had started to run down the hill and through the valley, pushing other animals aside.

      I looked up the hill and to the sides, and dove to the left, pushing a grey bird aside. It felt like rubber when I hit it. For some reason, I knew that I was among only three others that were capable of saving all the animals from being trampled by the sheep. I then started to run up the hill, leaning so far forward that my stomach was practically ten inches from the ground, and going relatively slowly - I was being pummeled by sheep! I ran into a few of them and shoved them aside, so they'd change direction and go to the right or left instead of down.

      For some reason, I pictured myself as a wolf, with the same style and coloration of the wolf from Kung Fu Panda 2, except with less intense colors and more of a paler blue.

      I got to the top of the hill and found myself overlooking a big valley with the similar two-version grass and tan/orange/peach colors. The dream shifted and fast-forwarded to the next one.

    3. Backstage Blood Stain

      I was in my school. The school has a theatre with a big stage and a long backstage area with two doors (one on either side) that leads out to the two wings of the stage. Slightly colorized, hard tan flooring with beige walls and lighter, pale blue accents around the door frames. It was clearly rectangular, and in the dream it was about twenty by fourteen feet.

      I came through the left backstage door. The room was lit by a few lights, but it wasn't as bright as it should've been. I walked a few steps and looked around; one of the teachers from my school was walking towards me. She was shorter than in real life, probably only 5 feet, and had very dark brown hair down to her shoulders. She was wearing a thin black cardigan and a black shirt with a pink, pale orange and pale red floral pattern around the shoulders. She walked right up to me and put her hand on my shoulder.

      "There's something here that you shouldn't see," she told me in an informative tone. She tried to turn me around, using her hand to force me to turn around, and I walked a few paces with her. She then took her hand off my shoulder and just kept walking, opened the door I'd originally came from, and closed it.

      I turned around and looked down the backstage, towards where the door opposite was. There was a big bloody stain on the wall next to that door. It looked like the stain you'd get if something had been sandwiched between two walls and the gunk started to seep/bleed through the two walls. It was darker red, which gradated to a regular red, and then had what I'd like to call "cloud-shaped" linear blobs of orange and red around it. It was just a realistically-shaped blob of color, no splatters or anything (because I assume it came from something in between the walls), but it was definitely blood.

      I remember thinking, "hm, that's weird". Not as in the "I could be dreaming" type of weird, but just the general weird. And I wasn't unsettled either.

      I exited the room and entered a much smaller one, almost like a broom closet. This room was tinted with lighter, pale blue lighting, and was probably only seven by seven feet. There was a C-shaped countertop in one corner of the room, extending down three adjacent walls (one end didn't go along the whole wall and stopped halfway), and cabinets above them. The top of the counter was white laminate, while the cabinets were pale brown wood. There was a square, light-colored laminate wood table with grey trim in the middle of the room. Two of my classmates were sitting on the counter, side by side, and one of my teachers was sitting cross-legged on the table. He was looking at papers in an open binder, which was positioned on one of my friends' laps.

      I looked at the paper on top and "knew" it was chemistry, but they were calculation problems that looked almost like trigonometry.

      "Do you need help?" I asked.

      "No, [teacher's real name] is helping me, but thanks anyways".

      I can't remember what happened after that.

    4. Fragment - Finger-Count Fail

      Notes:
      Another vivid dream. The contents of the dream left something to be desired though. This came after a short WBTB that I did, which involved getting a glass of water from the kitchen and then returning to bed. I also did a few finger-counting RCs in the interim.

      It was the middle of the night, just like the WBTB I had just performed. The lights in the house were off, and the only light came from some outside lamplight that was spilling through an external glass mural along the stairway in my house. The stairs were lighter hardwood than in real life. I remember walking down the stairs from the middle landing and briefly thinking that I could be dreaming. I did a finger-count RC and counted five fingers. Nope, not dreaming. I observed my hand and it looked smoother than normal, as if there wasn't much texture on the skin and fingernails. The fingers were also a bit pudgier than normal, but I didn't notice this until I woke up. I continued walking down the stairs and the dream faded.

    5. Fragment - Sandwiches in the Van

      I was in my mom's minivan, which was a silver Toyota Sienna minivan. It was off, unmoving, and situated in a parkade - one of those multi-story, concrete lots that have ramps to go up to the next level. It was dark outside, and there was only one dim light on in the van - one of the ceiling lights between the driver and front passenger seat. I could see a few street lights that were on. I peered out the window of the van, down the parking lot and into the night for a few minutes, looking at the sidewalk and how quiet the street was. Nobody was walking home from work, or going places. I enjoyed the emptiness and quietness. Eventually, I reached down under the seat I was sitting in - the passenger seat - and pulled out a small ziploc bag with a whole wheat sandwich inside. I never got around to eating it before the dream ended.

    6. Dying Girl and the Meat Room

      This dream probably came from the fetal pig dissection I did in Biology class last week.

      I was outside in the front playground of my school. The campus was very large; there was a plain, grassy field stretching from the front double-doored entrance of the building to at least fifty metres outwards; you'd then hit a straight, relatively open black metal fence and on the other side would be traffic, immediately after a sidewalk. The average-sized parking lot was on the right-hand side of the field. In the grass-covered field was a strip of neat, undivided track that looped all the way around, but not quite right at the edges of the field. It left the outside foot or two of the field uncovered, with more grass.

      I was on the track, walking towards a crowd of people, probably ten or so. A few others would walk towards it as this section of the dream went on. The crowd was concentrated in a small bunch; as I was walking, there were more people on the right than on the left; on the left was a teacher that I could not identify, but she had short ginger hair and glasses, and looked about the age of 55 or so. She looked up at me as I came down the track and stopped to look at what was causing the commotion.

      There was a younger girl on the ground, probably around 10 or so. She was heavier-built and had olive skin, dark (probably black) hair, and was wearing a cream dress with pink and red flowers. It was a pretty outfit, however, she was lying there and I didn't know why.

      "What's happening?" I asked someone to my right, and not the teacher.

      "She's losing blood," they replied.

      I looked at the girl again; she was barely moving but she was clearly in pain. For what the dream's worth, I somehow believed that she really was becoming anemic, even though I could see absolutely no injuries or blood at all, and I (along with everyone else) couldn't do anything to help her. After a few moments, the girl rolled over to rest on her back and didn't move.

      I wasn't sad, but rather furious. I turned and started angrily walking towards the front doors of the school, passing a drop-off loop that was winding around a central rise in the ground, covered in grass with two regular-sized trees. I pushed open the doors, which were mostly glass with teal frames, and ten walked five or six more steps. I pushed through a second set of doors and then got into the main foyer, or atrium of the school. Light poured in as it would in real life; the ceiling was three stories high, and paned with glass. I looked straight forward - the front reception desk was a few half-steps down, about ten metres away. I looked at the person behind the wide, clean desk that had a room behind it, with large white photocopiers and printers. She was a woman in her mid-twenties, fair-skinned and with glasses. Her hair was dirty blonde colored, and she was wearing dark gray work attire, with a pink and dark red tie.

      I started to walk towards her. "Hey." The tone of my voice was accusatory, frank, and impatient.

      When she didn't look up, I spoke again, louder this time, completely pissed off now (but sure that what I was doing was right) - "hey!"

      She looked up at me as I reached the desk.

      "You mother f&$@%#s, you just let a kid die when you could have done something about it!" I scolded angrily, throwing my hand in her face.

      She flinched a bit, stood up, and then asked me to follow her. I veered to the right of the desk, walking through a polished wooden door with a brass doorknob. When I opened the door, I saw the woman on the other side - she must have gone through a door in the room on her side of the desk, was my reasoning. I entered a hallway, with slightly dimmed lighting. The hallway was fairly short, probably only 8 metres long, and had light grey walls.

      I followed her down the hallway and it opened up into a room that had a warm coloration to it - maroon flooring with detailed gold-colored patterns on it. The room had four wall, and was rectangular in shape. On one of the longer walls, there were five or six large panes of glass for windows. Looking outside, one would see the small clearing of what looked like a rainforest... A well-lit rainforest, where you could see the pale yellow tint of the sun beig caught on the vegetation. The windows provided a perfect, non-cloudy and unobstructed view of this, but I paid next to no attention to it.

      In the middle of the room, going along the length of it with a few feet to spare on either side, was an island-like bar. On it were hamster and bird cages, mostly black. I remember looking inside one and seeing a green/yellow parakeet, and a pink plastic hamster wheel. We turned to the left to go around the bar; once we got around to the other side, I saw crates on the floor - for cats. I saw inside one as I walked by, observing; there was a pale orange tabby whose face almost looked like it could smile at me - almost elastic.

      We kept walking down the other side of the bar, and then the woman opened a door; we went through it and got to some sort of storage facility - concrete floors painted a light pale blue, with some paint peeling here and there to reveal pale, darker yellow crust underneath. The walls were basic, unfinished-looking concrete. The place didn't look "run down", but it could've used a paint job and some new light fixtures - the yellow, saucer-shaped lightbulbs, with a texture like that of a car headlight, were cracked. The lighting was fairly normal, though. Well, for a warehouse.

      The room was lined with a few large fridges, and lots of cardboard boxes. I also remember explicitly seeing a black stereo... One of those big, rectangular black ones with te antenna sticking out. We turned a corner and were now facing a wall with yet another door. This door had ice, or frost around the edges, and was metal, almost dark red in color. The woman was still ahead of me, leading me, so I let her open the door.

      I walked in and I saw frozen animals hanging by string from the ceiling; it was that straw-like stuff; thinner but strong. The animals were basically just meat, no skin or anything. It was like looking at a sirloin steak, except it wasn't just the sirloin but the whole cow (or pig!). The animals actually looked like they could be thrown onto a big barbecue and cooked; there was a few pieces of frost and crystallized ice on them and this just made them look really appetizing.

      I casually looked at the animals as we walked down the room, curving over to the right, passing a large, light gray horizontal freezer. The woman turned around, and her appearance had changed - now, she was a few years younger, had lighter blonde hair, and was wearing a white doctor's coat. "This might be a bit disturbing", she told me as she pulled out a pig's head. Again, it wasn't bloody or anything nasty; it looked just like, well, frozen meat. The jaw was missing, with a flat indent along the cheek as if someone had pressed the flat side of a knife's blade into it.

      "See that?" she asked me as I walked a step closer, but keeping my distance. "That's how the jaw was removed."

    7. Moderator Title: Processing...

      A not-so-vivid dream involving me on the computer. I only remember a very small portion of it - what was on the screen. I don't even remember where I was, or what kind of computer I was using. Maybe I could only see the screen in the dream and nothing else?

      The computer screen was set to Dreamviews. I was on a thread page, and while I cannot remember the title, I had one of my own posts in the center of the screen. It looked relatively normal; the user titles and info was on the left, and the post content was on the right. My signature was missing, though, and I don't even know what was written in the comment section of my post. I had my attention on my username to the left of the post. The staff had surprised me by making me a Moderator on Dreamviews, and I was looking at my username, seeing if the processing of the change from Dream Guide to Moderator was complete. Apparently it wasn't an instantaneous change.

      If someone is a Dream Guide, their username is green. If they are a Moderator, their username is blue. To indicate my account was still in the middle of processing its new status as Moderator, only two letters in my username were blue. The other letters were still green. More letters were supposed to become blue as time elapsed. Essentially, it looked like this:

    8. Shoppers and a Museum - Finding Cerebro

      Another Marvel-themed dream! It must be because I watched X-Men: First Class yesterday at midnight.

      It was daytime, but the sky about to get darker as the evening rolled in. I was outside a Shoppers Drug Mart building, which was located in the middle of a larger parking lot. This building was probably half the size of a normal Shoppers, and it was located on top of a sidewalk-like rise off the ground, just like real life. The parking lot itself wasn't too populated by cars; there were maybe ten or fifteen scattered around (but neatly parked).

      I walked towards the Shoppers and noticed that there was a large lineup of people; they were double-filing, the line going right along the side of the building towards not the front entrance, but the back. I went around the building and saw that there was one door, a basic back-entrance door, which was a white pane with... glass?

      Here, I remember seeing a man with black hair and wearing a True North jacket. He turned around and told me to "get lost". This didn't suit well with me, but I ignored it and walked away. I knew what I was looking for wouldn't be there - I was looking for a large structure similar to a water tower. It has a long, cylindrical base, the inside containing a winding, metal staircase with railings, and about ten feet in diameter. At the top was a golf-ball like sphere, almost like that familiar structure at Disney's Epcot, although the bevels aren't as deep, and the sphere itself not as big; half the size would be a good estimate.

      I had been there before, but I forgot where the structure was located. In the dome at the top was supposed to be Cerebro, a device that could amplify telepathic brainwaves (as in the X-Men movies). I was looking for Cerebro because I had "good reason to believe" that there was a S.H.I.E.L.D base stationed underneath it. For some reason, I already knew that it was a larger, circular room with a diameter of about fifteen feet across, lots of glowing computer screens adorning one side of it, and a round, doughnut-hole-style table encompassing the whole of it. There would be chairs on the outside of this table, and lots of government papers on it.

      I continued to walk; sometime during this, the dream jumped ahead. I was now in a museum-like setting. It was a relatively wide, and winding hallway. There were scenery exhibits along one of the walls, divided from the public section of the hallway by the average museum bars (or whatever you choose to call them). These bars were black and looked normal. There were quite a few people at the exhibit, which was relatively well-lit but darker than a museum should have been. There were a few spots of brighter light hitting the exhibitions here and there, but I never looked up so I don't know what the source of them was. As for the exhibitions themselves, I only remember one - there was a lot of fine gravel and pale sand, and some huge spider plants, probably three or four feet tall, on top of this material. There were some big, fairly flat grey rocks right up against the wall. A large, white but somewhat translucent dragon was sprawled along this gravel and sand; its long, oriental-style body crossed where the public would walk and ended up on another, similar exhibit on the other side of the hallway. The upper body, neck, and head curled around into a spiral. The color of the dragon was pretty much white, with a slight bit of yellow, and slightly (but not by much) transparent.

      I walked towards the head of the dragon, but didn't actually go over/under the black bar and onto the exhibit; I stayed in the public section of the hallway. I decided that I wanted to exit and "try to find Cerebro again" (I'm unsure as to whether I thought that or muttered it out loud), so I started to look for signs that showed the way out. On the wall, I saw a black rectangular piece of plastic, probably only about 15x9 inches big, with a thin yellow arrow on it. The head of the arrow took up most of the space, while the line was only a mere two or three inches long. I walked in the direction of the arrow, back where I had been walking from, and then saw another one - it was facing the opposite direction. I looked behind me and got really confused.

    9. The Principal is Visiting

      This week at school, I was using the school computers to make a powerpoint presentation for my Chemistry class. I finished a few of the slides on Monday and saved the file. Then I opened up the file on another computer and finished the rest of the presentation. When I went to present it yesterday for class, instead of giving me the finished version of the file, it gave me the version with only the first few slides. I didn't know how this happened and even now I don't know. This must have been the reason for the following dream.

      A very short dream. I was my room, sitting on a plush, red, cube-shaped chair at my desk. The desk was fairly deep, black-stained wood, with metal handles for the two drawers on the left-hand side. My silver macbook pro was sitting on the center of the desk, and my printer was on the back left corner. Unlike in real life, there were no posters on the beige walls where the desk was positioned. There was no lamp, or photos... It was empty. There was nothing on the floor, either. The lighting in the room was a bit dim and moody.

      I turned to the left, facing the door to my room. I expected the principal of my school to walk in at any moment. However, she was already in the room; she was sitting on a regular fold-out plastic and metal chair.

      "Finally, you're here," I told her, completely ignoring how I'd been waiting for her to arrive despite the fact she was already in my bedroom. "I've been having problems with my files at school. You have to call the I.T. guys to come over here and see what the problem is."

      That's all I remember.

      I was in front of the entrance to my school's athletic center; this entrance consisted of two large double-doors painted a pale turquoise, against drywall that was painted a very light beige. Vending machines were on either side of the doors (not the case in real life). If you were to exit the athletic center and into the hallway (where I was standing), and turn right, you'd get to an open flight of solid stairs.

      The lighting in the school was dimmer than normal. I could see people walking up and down the stairs, and past me too. I didn't recognize any of their faces, which I could've sworn were kind of blurry.

      I did recognize one person, however - I saw my friend walk up to me and say, "what are you doing? Come on!"

      "What do you mean?" I asked. I was very confused. But for some reason, then I suddenly knew what was going on. "Ugh... What time is it?"

      "Eight".

      She must have meant eight at night, because I felt somewhat tired and was thinking about how I just 'wanted to go home for the night'. Not to mention, the lights were dim and that only happens when the school is closing down for the night. I whined, "I don't want to stay and volunteer for the debate."

      I think I did a mini CAT (cycle adjustment technique) this morning! I always get up at 7:00 in the morning, but today I set my alarm for 6:30 because I wanted to get up early to work on my speech for school elections. I was woken up by the alarm, but then I decided to sleep in some more. I fell asleep and had two dreams, the first of which was rather long. I'll write them as separate entries.
      Dream 1
      Flying the Plane, Dodging the Train, and the Young Thieves

      It was early in the morning. The sunless sky was casting a yellow glare on the scenery. I was outside my house, facing the road perpendicular to the driveway, which I was standing on. This driveway was situated off a small crescent road, of which came off the side of a three-lane road in a quiet neighborhood. The driveway wasn't in very good condition; the concrete was smashed in some areas, there were a few cracks, and there were also bits of rock and stone in places. The grass on either side of the driveway was clean and a nice green color, and the sidewalk crossing the driveway looked relatively normal, almost perfectly in line with the road.

      I started to walk off the driveway, and then I set foot onto the crescent. As soon as I took my third step down it, I was stopped by my mother, who had come up from behind me. She grabbed me by the arm and shouted accusations, including "get back in the house now or I'll tell everyone what you did!".

      Although I wasn't lucid, I exhibited some form of dream control. I hissed at her and immediately proceeded to shapeshift into a red, traditional-looking Chinese dragon. I didn't feel the transition, but I did see my arms and tail curl around, from the corner of my eye. I growled at her, and pushed off the ground, shooting into the air. I made an arc that was around fifty feet long, and then landed back on the ground. For some reason, I "knew" that I'd lost her, and she wasn't following me at the moment because she didn't know where I was.

      I was now on a country-like gravel road with normal city houses on either side, which almost made it look like a normal street. There were a few tall, gray, 40-story or so buildings in the back, mostly with large glass windows like you'd see in a big city such as Minneapolis. I didn't turn to see what was behind me, as I was looking ahead - there were telephone poles and their wires on either side of the street, going parallel to it (like they would do in real life). There were also some wires that criss-crossed and ended up going from one side to the other. A few wires were even hanging loosely down; these wires were so (impossibly, given the distance between the two sides) long that they were right on the middle of the road.

      Ahead of me, there was a small yellow plane, facing directly down the road and away from me. It looked like a Seagull Models "Yak 54". It was about four feet tall, not quite big enough to fit a person. However, the cockpit wasn't really in the plane but sticking out. I stepped into the plane, and when I was settled in the cockpit, only my waist and below was inside. My upper body was sticking out on top. The plane had a black-and-silver steering wheel like that of a car, but it didn't have just a few large connections between the outer ring and the inner circle; it had many thin connections. It reminded me of a ship's wheel. But this wheel was also pretty small, only two thirds the size of a dinner plate. I grabbed it, and the plane took off by itself. I didn't need to push any buttons or anything.

      I flew down the road, and I had to dodge a telephone wire that was hanging vertically downwards, a bit to my right. It didn't seem to be hanging from anything, it was jus suspended in air. I veered left, and now there were two wires crossing the space where I was about to fly. These, too, didn't seem to be connected to anything. I pulled on the wheel to raise the plane up, and I flew just over top of the wires, almost hitting them.

      After two or three minutes, I landed. Between the initial takeoff and landing, however, was a seamless blend of location. I was no longer flying down a road, but I was going down a train track along the side of a rocky cliff. Rugged mountains dotted the area; there was also one mountain especially close to the left side of the tracks. The rocks were grey with some brown, and the ground was also brown rock, somewhat dusty in areas. My plane had changed from being yellow to a deep orange color with a few indiscernible black accents. I was going down this track, flying just a few inches above it. I knew that my mother was coming after me on a train. I knew the train was yellow with black points, and some silver and grey; it looked like a CN Railway train except with the different colors.

      I also knew she was right behind me. I came to an entrance to a sort of "valley" on the cliff, and I jumped off my plane (which continued to veer down the tracks by itself) and ran around a big tall boulder to hide. I knew if my mother went through here, she would continue down the tracks without realizing she'd passed me. At this time, my sister came out of nowhere and knelt down beside me, behind the same rock. I told her, "Stay here, she won't find us".

      I knew the train was coming. The train itself made no noise whatsoever, but I heard metal vibrating on the tracks, which was almost like a thumping noise. My view had now changed from first-person to third-person; I cannot tell exactly when this happened, but it did. I saw the train, which consisted of at least five cars, turn sharply and come around the boulder to where we were. Instead of crashing into us, however, it veered right off the side of the cliff.

      My sister didn't exist in the dream anymore, so I went around the boulder toward the railway tracks. My plane was sitting right there for some reason, as if it hadn't gone flying down the tracks earlier. It was missing the seat and the wheel, though. I looked down the tracks, and the mountains/boulders had now changed to a more brownish rock, and there were tall buildings on either side, almost like an alleyway. The atmosphere got a bit foggier, as well.

      Looking down the tracks, I saw two boys. They were wearing clothes that looked like they were from the 1800s - grey pants and shirts, with jackets and messenger hats. I also noticed that one of them was holding the two missing parts of my plane. I ran at them, and they started to book it. The boy who wasn't carrying the parts ran faster, but the other one was rather sluggish. It was easy to catch up, push him forward a bit, and grab the two parts right out of his hands. "You shouldn't do that!" I scolded.

      The dream skipped again. I was now walking down the inside of a hallway. This hallway was probably five feet wide - not that large. However, it was very long. There were polished wooden doors (to dressing rooms, in particular) on either side; each of them were spaced about thirty feet apart or so. The lighting was dark, and pale greenish-blue, which cast a weird glow on the very pale, dark blue tiles spaced by white grout. I remember seeing small glowing yellow balls of light around the ceiling that provided some illumination, but not much. As I walked down the hallway, the doors turned into dark blue tents that were actually inside the walls. Basically, the entrance flap on the front of each tent was on the wall, and when you'd go through it, into the actual tent, that part was inside the wall.

      I passed these tents as if everything was normal. After a few moments of walking, I started to see people in huge, extravagant costumes. These costumes mostly consisted of a small white masquerade masks. Attached to the masks were huge, long, detailed feathers of many colours that spanned out and hid the shape of peoples' faces and upper bodies. On peoples' legs were heavy, baggy pants, which looked almost velvety. These pants were dark blue and black. Overall, these features made the people look a bit scary, but I wasn't afraid in the dream.

      I just kept walking.

    12. Metal Iron Man Toys

      I was in the bedroom from my childhood, looking through things in my closet. The room had light tan carpet, a basic upright wooden dresser, and a bunkbed which consisted of red for the bottom half and blue for the upper. Or vice versa, I can't remember. The lighting was normal, almost a bit brighter than it I'd have expected it to be. My closet was the length of the room (with the exception of a spot for the door) and a few feet deep - the room itself was about 11 by 11 feet - and it had two sliding wooden doors.

      There was a blue box in the deeper, left-hand side of the closet. Other than that, the closet was empty. The blue box was large, large enough that you could pick up and curl your arms around. Inside, there was a box of facial tissue, some unrecognizable toys, and then I pulled out a large Iron Man figure. It was probably about twenty inches tall and looked very realistic, and the toy itself was made of metal pieces instead of plastic. I knew that it was remote-controlled, but I didn't know where the controller was.

      I put it to the side and proceeded to keep digging. After a few moments I found another, slightly smaller toy; this time it was of the Iron Man "suitcase" armor from Iron Man 2. This toy wasn't remote-controlled. There were many small pieces on it, and unfortunately some had fallen off, namely a shoulder, a panel of grey metal on the front, and the headpiece. I snapped them back on easily, and left the room with the toy, intending to show it to my sister. There was no door, but simply an entranceway to the left of the open closet. I ended up exiting into the house that I am currently living in, and walked right into the living room without going through a hallway. I forgot about showing the toy to my sister, and I don't think I was even holding it anymore.

      The living room was square-shaped, about 20 by 20 feet, with hardwood floors, a flatscreen television lying on an obliquely-placed entertainment center in the corner of the room, and windows that went along nearly the entire wall. It was dark outside, but I could see that there was quite a bit of snow on the ground, probably ten inches or so, all shoveled into normal-looking piles on the sides of the roads and driveway.

    13. Mermaid in a Handbag

      I can't remember the beginning or ending of this dream, but I do know that I was in a marketplace-like area inside a mall! Specifically, I was in a shop that had ceilings that were slightly lower than average for a mall store, and polished, flat gray stones for flooring. There were many people walking around, but it wasn't so crowded that I couldn't get around. The place was well-lit, with lighting that was yellow-orange, which gave it a warm, welcoming vibe. There were a few ledges to sit on, with potted plants scattered around nicely.

      This is where the dream gets a bit wierd.

      I was a mermaid - half fish, half person, and clocking in at about 4 feet tall. I was walking around like a normal person at this time, though, trying to escape a man who was going to kill me and sell my body to a science symposium, organization, or something I couldn't articulate. I had seen the man near the beginning of the dream. I know the man was in a black business suit, and he had a monocle on his left eye. He was wearing a short black top hat, and he was carrying a suitcase. In his other hand, he had a small knife with a blade made from wood, and decorated with a few gold accents.

      I had already asked someone if they could smuggle me out of the mall without being detected, and they told me no. I then walked over to a woman with blonde-brown hair. She looked relatively average-looking, and was wearing a tan jacket and had a brown leather handbag. It was the same shape and color as a Prada Cervo Antik bag, but a bit bigger.

      "Excuse me?" I asked the lady, "someone's going to kill me and I really need to hide!"

      She zipped open her handbag, and I got in. I had to squeeze a bit, but I managed to curl my knees up towards my head and get most of my body inside. My head stuck out a bit, though, so the bag wouldn't close up all the way. I could see outside the bag, but at the same time I could see inside of it - it was dark and hard to breathe.

    14. Three-Dimensional Breaking Bad Shirts

      It was daytime. I was at a vacation resort in some country like Mexico. The buildings around me were colorful, and set up like shops that bordered around a large, square-shaped central clearing. They had arc-shaped entrances instead of doors.

      I walked over to one building and it had two basic, long cylindrical metal poles coming up out of the ground, with a clothesline going from the top of one to the other. A foot or so down the poles, there was another clothesline. Hanging from these two clotheslines, slightly overlapping each other, were white shirts (mainly t-shirts). I looked at them, and browsed for a few minutes. I recall seeing one with a t-rex on it, but the colors were too faded so I didn't want to buy it.

      The shopkeeper walked up to me while I was looking. He was wearing some sort of apron around his waist, and a light blue visor.

      "Why are the colors so faded?" I asked him.

      "They're 3D," was the reply, and he pointed to the shirts. I looked back at them and the layout of them changed, although I didn't notice this in the dream. Three Breaking Bad shirts, in the middle of the clothesline, stood out to me. I went to them right away because I'm a fan of Breaking Bad.

      The first t-shirt on the right had a portrait of Gale, one character from the series. It showed him from the shoulders-up, his two hands holding different objects - one was a marijuana leaf, and the other was a bag of what I presumed to be crystal meth. His face was intent and almost creeped me out a bit. I looked at the t-shirt in the center next. It had a very small picture of Jesse Pinkman in his hoodie. It was probably only three or four inches big. The last t-shirt had a picture of the Breaking Bad logo, with the smoky green background. The edges of the image blended out into the t-shirt, creating a nice transition. All three t-shirts had the faded colors, so I was still put off from buying one, but then I looked closer at this shirt. I moved myself up and down and realized it was three-dimensional, and almost played a short clip like a movie as you moved your position. You may have seen those "movie" bookmarks in a Hallmark or other cards store before. That's what they were like.

    15. Fragment - Hallucinogens

      It was late at night. The street lights on the road were dim, not bright like they should have been. My father was driving his car, a black 2009 Infiniti with cherry accents inside the interior, at around forty miles an hour down this two-lane road. I was in the passenger seat.

      After a few moments of silence, I began to talk about hallucinogens.

      "I can enter a state of sleep paralysis using them," I told him. "It's pretty cool. You should try them sometime."

      I've never used hallucinogens before and don't plan to. But this dream fragment still shocked me a little bit!
