    1. Cliff Dream Control Class

      This dream took place outside in the daytime, with a light blue sky, unlike most of my other dreams which were inside. The location was a slightly-rounded, clay-coloured cliff wall that I guessed was about thirty feet wide, and this cliff was attached to another wall, a bit taller and much longer in length, but consisting of the same saturated clay tone. The surface of the rounded cliff reminded me of flaky chalk or thin layers of stone (I could see some of the layers coming off and beginning to separate from the rest of the cliff). The other one looked like ordinary rock with a slightly chalk-like appearance to it. There was a rounded entrance, well carved-out, into the face of this long cliff, for students to come and go. The area was like a classroom, and I was the teacher; my job was to teach dream control to enrolled students.

      I was hanging from the top of the rounded cliff, suspended against the side by a rope. The rope was held by a very heavy rock at the top of the cliff, and it was was made of that pale yellow straw-like material, and was probably no thicker than an index finger. I wasn't worried about it snapping, though, because my feet had found purchase on a piece of rock that stuck out a few inches from the rest of the cliff. It took some of my weight off the rope. Although I couldn't see them from my viewpoint, I knew my students were on top of this cliff, listening to what I was saying.

      "The first thing about dream control," I said, "is that you have to be 100% certain. If you aren't, the dream won't act in your favour."

      I then started pulling away at the shedding pieces of rock that the cliff was shedding, breaking them away and letting them fall to the ground below me. I noticed the textures and how much the cliff really looked like hardened chalk; it even had a slight amount of dust over it. I casually looked down briefly during this, however, and the pieces of cliff I'd taken off were nowhere in sight. After all, the cliff was so high up that it simply descended into white, blue-tinged clouds not twenty feet below where I was suspended. I was in absolutely no fear of falling or heights, though.

      After a few moments of pulling a few layers of cliff off, from the outside of my peripheral vision I grabbed a stack of fifteen or so papers. I'm honestly not sure where these papers were from, because before when I was scanning the cliff, I didn't see any papers. Regardless, I looked briefly at them and saw that each one was white printer paper with neat, professional typing on it. In the upper-left region of each paper was a line and a messy scrawl of either a date or a mark (I can't remember which) in thicker-than-normal red pen, almost like marker. It didn't show through the other side of the paper though. I looked up to the top of the cliff, still unable to see my students, and held it up so they could take the papers from me.

      I sat there for maybe a minute before starting to panic slightly. Had they left me here?

      Then I saw a hand reach over and miss the papers, pull back, then get ahold of them. I let go and the student took them. I then looked to the right of where I was, at the longer cliff wall consisting of a more rock-like appearance, and pushed off the cliff I was on, floating over to the flat surface sticking out of the wall (where I could stand). I landed a few feet to the left of the rounded entranceway, and saw students who I could not identify starting to walk out. I was leaving, probably because I wasn't the teacher for this class. However, as I walked towards the exit and ended up in front of it, I saw one student coming out whom I recognized; she was from grade 11 at my school.

      For some reason, I believed that she was leaving this class, even though she was entering the area and not leaving it. I said, "wait," and turned around to look out into the sky. In front of me was a new piece of rock; it was super flat on top but again in the same clay tone as the other cliffs! On the edge of it was a sheet of paper; it belonged to that girl. I must have dropped it.

      The distance between the entrance and the piece of floating rock wasn't more than a foot, so I simply walked onto the rock, and walked back. It didn't sink down when I stepped on it. I handed the paper to the girl and she continued walking over to the rounded cliff, but I didn't look back.

    2. Sour Cheese

      I'm surprised that I didn't become lucid in this one; I'm usually aware in dreams involving my room, or house for that matter...

      I was in my bedroom; however, a common theme in many of my dreams is the lack of furniture, and this one was no exception. The only thing in my room was my queen-sized bed which in which the head was right up against the wall; the bed's frame was very modern and square, all made of dark stained wood. There were two short, slightly curved rectangular pieces at the end of the bed that collectively made a headboard. The room itself was dark (there were no windows but I could somehow tell that it was nighttime), but there was light coming from a doorway behind me, slightly illuminating the bedroom with pale yellow. As for myself, I was waiting in front of my bed for my dad to come into my room. He was leaving for a business trip (I'm unsure of the duration or any details of the matter) and he was coming to my room to give me something to eat for the night. Dinner, or something. I stood there for a minute, and then he walked into the room, but I didn't turn around to greet him. He just appeared at my side, and handed me a rectangular block of cheddar cheese, which looked incredibly realistic. It was one of those larger, plastic-sealed blocks that go for fifteen bucks or so at the supermarket.

      I looked at it and my dad said, "I'm not sure if this is fresh still, but try it anyways. I'm going now, see you later."

      He left the room. At this point, I saw that the package of cheese was open at one end, although it had been completely sealed before, and there was a price sticker containing the price and barcode in the corner. I peeled back the plastic a bit, and took a tiny piece from the corner, no bigger than my pinkie finger. I ate it and it tasted like sour cheese, or cheese mixed with sour milk (except it didn't have that very strong 'tang' to it, which would've been real disgusting).

      It was no good to eat, obviously.

    3. Fragment - My Sister's Matte White Lamborghini

      Notes:
      I had two dreams last night. The first was this fragment, and the second was a frightening semi-lucid with terrible control that I didn't record. The contents of this dream probably happened because I saw a grey Lamborghini, red Ferarri, and black Corvette parked along the sidewalk yesterday.

      It was getting dark outside, sometime in the evening but the sky was still a lighter shade of blue. I was in some sort of tight Italian alley, with tan and grey cobblestones for a pathway, and old-fashioned buildings on both sides; they were the kind you'd always see in tourist photos and advertisements. There was a shorter grey metal rod sticking out the side of each building, about ten feet up (the buildings themselves must have been two stories each, at around 15 feet tall; they were also attached to one another in two big strips along the sides of the alley). From each rod hung a straw basket filled with small red flowers.

      I was standing up against one building near the end of the alley, waiting for my sister to come pick me up from somewhere. I looked down the alley, but I don't remember seeing anything substantial at the end. I'm pretty sure it was just a blur of lights and something like a road. I then saw my sister come around the corner and pull up to where I was standing. She looked a bit older than she really is, about seventeen or eighteen, and was in a white Lamborghini Gallardo. It was very similar to what the real car looks like. The paint job, however, was a smooth matte white - it was the same as a regular white paint covering, but the car wasn't shiny and reflective.

    4. Owl School and Gale's House

      Another dream with Gale Boetticher in it... Must have been because I missed the new episode of Breaking Bad on Sunday...

      In this dream, it was sometime between afternoon and evening - the sky was still light, but it was beginning to adopt a pale orange tint. I was in a relatively sparse forest with very tall and skinny trees. They looked like the kind of trees that had been burned and killed by a forest fire; the ends of their branches were flimsy and almost crispy-looking, and the bark of the trees themselves was fairly dark, but not quite bordering on black. The trees had a few leaves here and there but not many. There was probably one tree for every fifteen feet of groundspace.

      I was a young gray owl, and I was one of five or six other owls (of different species) who were in school taking flying lessons from a grumpy old teacher owl. I can't remember details about any specific birds except the teacher; he had slightly scraggly brown feathers, and longer ear 'tufts' on his head. The group was flying in place, in a circle all facing each other, at the side of one tree in the forest, which must have been at an altitude of about 70 feet above the pine-and-wood covered dirt ground. Myself, I was in the hollow of a tree that was right near theirs; the hole was only five feet higher than the group. Because of this, I was looking down on them. When the dream started, my dream-self knew that I was ditching class because the teacher wasn't friendly; he wasn't letting the owls eat until class was over, which I didn't like. So, I wanted to stir things up.

      I saw the group, positioned about ten feet away from me. I looked at them and suddenly saw a perfectly round owl pellet whizz towards the hole and past my head; they were using it to practice catching things with their feet while flying at the same time. The sudden appearance of the pellet didn't surprise me, although I definitely would've jumped in real life. Without taking my gaze away from the class, I grabbed the ball with my foot (although I cant remember if it was an owl's foot) and as soon as I did this, the teacher somehow realized where I was.

      "Puffin, get down here now!" he roared in a grumpy but non-intimidating fashion, but I just laughed to myself and put the pellet down. I then kicked my foot hard into the inside of the hole, which sent three moths, each having a different color - pale orange, mint green, and light blue - flying towards the class. The moths' wings looked normal at first glance, but then upon closer inspection, the wings were upside-down! As usual, I didn't notice this anomaly. I was just thinking about how sending food out to the class, moths, would surely piss the teacher off!

      I looked away from the class as soon as the moths got further away from the tree; I didn't see or hear a reaction at all. A few moments later, I decided to land on the ground.

      I walked up to the edge of the hole and let gravity pull me over the edge; I dropped out of the hole, flapping my grey wings (which were still rather small because I wasn't very old) a few times to slow the fall a bit, and started to coast forward. I landed at least forty feet away from my tree, as a result of the coasting. I had completely forgotten about the class of owls now; it's as if they weren't even there. Sometime during the flight, the forest had seamlessly changed from a sparse one to a slightly denser and lively forest, with pine and sycamore trees that actually looked normal, leaves and all. I'm not sure if I was seeing from an owl's small perspective while in the tree, but I was definitely seeing through it now; the trees were very big compared to me. Anyways, the pieces of wood chips, pine needles and dirt on the ground looked large, which was pretty realistic for my size. I walked a few small steps forward and my feet sunk down into the materials a bit, because the sheet of them covering the forest floor was not one solid thing, but many pieces.

      As soon as I stopped walking, I heard a woman's voice say, "what are you doing? Theres dangerous owls here, like this one!" As the last sentence started, an owl's face suddenly flashed in front of my vision, filling it up for a few instances. It was in the animation style of the owls from the film Legend of the Guardians, but with slightly less less feather detail. The owl was dark grey, with feathers that became lighter around its eyes and beak, and it had intimidating-looking red eyes that gradated to black in the center of each one. When the vision faded, it was almost juxtapositioned by a friendly-looking grey owl, who was probably a bit less than twice my own height. He was standing bot ten feet away from me; the forest around us remained unchanged. I knew that this owl was my friend; I enjoyed doing things with him and trusted him completely. He looked like the owl from the vision with grey feathers that got lighter around his face, but his eyes were normal-looking. There was no connection between him and the other owl I'd just seen; no premonition or a dangerous air to him; it was just strange and random dream behavior.

      He said something friendly to me, although I cannot remember what wit was. We exchanged words a few times in a conversation I don't recall at all, and then I looked to my immediate left.

      I was right next to a rectangular house (probably 50x20 feet) that had white siding, slightly stained in places with tree sap and other yucky things. The whole thing was raised five or six feet by a wooden lattice foundation; this foundation had black mesh behind it so I couldn't see behind it and under the house. The house also had a deck-like ramp made of pine wood going up the front of it, starting on the ground at the left and ending at the right. On the right, where the ramp ended about five feet above the ground (where the bottom of the house met the foundation), was a single white door with a square screen in the upper half. There was a small white-paned window a few inches to the left of the door, and it was divided into four equal sections by a thinner white windowpane; finally, it was screened with black mesh, just like the door. I couldnt see through it. I was in front of the house from where I was standing, the other owl a few feet down and slightly past the house. We both turned towards the house and started to walk up the ramp. During this, my height seamlessly changed to my normal human height of approximately 5.4", and the owl I just spoke with just vanished when I looked away from him and at the house. For the rest of the dream, he was nowhere to be found.

      As I got to the top of the ramp, which was actually much steeper than it appeared to be when I was just looking at the house, I saw Gale Boetticher from the (awesome) television series Breaking Bad standing right outside the door. He was wearing a casual, button-down yellow shirt that had pineapple-colored criss-crossing lines, making a regular pattern of small squares. He was also wearing olive khakis and brown sandals; the outfit as a whole looked very normal.

      Gale then looked at me and said, "excuse the mess." His voice was very similar to the actual character. He then smiled a bit as if to welcome me to his house, and pushed lightly on the white door. It swung open slowly and without making a noise, even though he pushed very lightly on it. I knew I was going to be discussing business plans with him, although what type of business I don't know; the dream gave no hints. The dream ended once the door fully opened, and before I went in.

    5. My Mother is Trying to Kill Me

      Notes:
      I'm currently away from home, which has benefitted my recall for some reason. I will be away for the next two weeks, so here's hoping I can finally get that elusive high-level LD and complete the next installment of the MDP. The other two were very shallow and uneventful. I'm posting these entries from my iPod for the duration of the trip, meaning possible typos and other formatting errors. I'm checking them over but something is bound to mess up and go unnoticed, so please excuse any errors.
      Part 1 - Gale

      I was in a basement of an unidentifiable house. This basement was square in shape with white walls and plush tan carpet. It was soft to walk on, which I couldn't feel with my feet, but I did see how the carpet sunk slightly with every step I took. The room wasn't well lit at all; it was dark except for one circular light right in the ceiling, which gave off a yellow glow that didn't quite fill the entire room. It was more of a spotlight. The light was shining down onto a polished wooden coffee table directly underneath it. I was still near the walls of the room, so I turned and started to walk towards the table. As soon as I took another step, the dream seamlessly skipped and I was now right by the table, on my knees, crouching down slightly to look at something that was underneath it.

      I saw Gale Boetticher, a character from the television series Breaking Bad, under the table.

      Gale was lying under the table on his back, his legs sticking out from one end. His eyes were open but not wide, and his mouth was slightly parted. The back of his head looked bloody, although it was in shadow (the rest of him should've been too, because the table was blocking the light from reaching him, but for some reason his body was well lit. I noticed that some of the skull on the back of his head was missing too. I knew that he was dead. I did not feel scared or ominous, but simply a vague sadness.

      The dream skipped again. I was now standing up. Gale was now lying on the table, still on his back with his arms hanging over the sides, and underneath in the carpet was a large, irregularly-shaped patch of blood that looked older. It was fully absorbed into the carpet. I wasn't sure why I was there with the body, whether because I killed him or because my mother did - you can understand why I considered these possibilities as you read the rest of this dream.



      Part 2 - Escape

      I was in a room downstairs in my house. The room was about 15x15 feet, and pretty much empty. There was only a queen-sized bed with a wool blanket of lighter cream color on top; it was small compared to the mattress so it didn't hang over the sides that much. The headboard was an antique-style rectangle of polished wood. The room didn't have a closet, even though it had a large one in real life. In the right corner of one wall was a very basic wooden door with no patterns or anything, and it was wide open.

      I knew my mom was in the house, and that she would be coming after me, furious and pissed off. She was trying to kill me. I was positioned a few feet from a small rectangular window on the wall, which was a good seven feet up and only two feet wide, much less tall. That was my only chance of escaping. I looked back at the doorway; she wasn't here yet. I had to get out now though. I knew that she wasn't armed, but she was capable of severely hurting me or killing me. I then looked up at the window, a good two feet above me, and jumped at it, pulling myself up easily with my hands (it was indented a few inches in the wall). The window itself was a plain panel of thicker glass. I punched it and it shattered as if the glass was thin and delicate; the pieces were thin too. I scrambled out on my stomach and into the my backyard, which was where the window led to. That's all I remember about this segment.



      Part 3 - Rooftops

      This was a shorter part of the dream. I was still on the run from my mother, but now my sister was with me. It was still daytime, and we were in a suburban neighborhood. The houses were all similar in nature, with modern stucco exteriors. There were only slight variations in the shapes and sizes. I was walking, rather fast, down the sidewalk of a longer road with my sister, with the houses on both sides. The road was just asphalt, there were no lines or markings or cars.

      I turned around and saw my mother coming out from around the side of a house. She was looking around a lot, and then her head suddenly turned towards me. Although she was wearing black sunglasses and was a good block and a half away, I could tell she was furious and that her look was sadistic. "Come on!" I whispered sharply to my sister, and I made a big jump up onto the top of a house. I didn't see my sister follow me and jump onto the house, but I "knew" she was right behind me. I also "knew" that my mom couldn't jump that high, but we still had to lose her. We ran down the (flat, although from the ground the roofs were all triangular) rooftops and jumped to the next one over and over. As we did, the viewpoint changed from first to third person. During third person view, the roofs we were traveling on became triangular again. We had lost my mom by the end of the segment.



      Part 4 - Policeman

      It was in the evening, dark outside, and I was in a large community building, almost like the dining hall of a homeless shelter. I'm not sure what I was doing here because the dream didn't give any hints. I didn't see anyone that I knew (including my sister). I saw many people all gathered in different spots in the room, talking to each other; the whole room was like a convention. I don't remember many details of this place, except there were two full-story windows with many different pieces in them. Past the windows, it was very dark outside, and you couldn't see anything out there. But that wasn't the important part. I was near the entranceway, which was wide enough for three people to walk through shoulder-to-shoulder, positioned near the corner of where two walls joined; past this entrance was a hallway going perpendicular to it.

      I was about to walk through into the hallway. I was mere feet away from the door when a police officer suddenly walked up to me. He was a heavier-built man in a black police uniform, with very dark grey patches here and there. He was probably six feet, whereas I'm only five feet, four inches. He looked at me and said, "excuse me, can you come here please?" and gestured toward me with his pointer finger. Then he looked away slightly, down at the ground as if I were a kid and he was about to ask, 'what was that?'. I quickly walked past him and had to push his hand off my arm; he was barely gripping me yet I felt that could've been enough to get ahold of me. I got away though.

      Sometime after this, I hijacked a car and drove away with it, but I don't remember what kind/colour it was. I only know that I was going fast down a street, and that there was a man clutching the outside of the car, trying to hold on, and his face was sticking into the car through the open window. He was saying, "give me my car back!". I rolled the window up on him by pushing the horn section of the steering wheel.



      Part 5 - The River

      This segment began with me running up to a fence, grabbing the diamond-shaped links, and pulling myself over it easily. In this part of the dream, I was using superpowers, mainly super strength. As soon as I got over the fence and landed, I landed on a grassy riverbank; it was only ten feet until the river. This river, on both sides, was lined by trees but the part of the riverbank I was on had no trees; it was a small clearing.

      Needless to say, I made two floating superjumps, and on the second one, I got within a foot of the river. I jumped into it and the river dropped off sharply; I was now in deep water. From the outside, it definitely looked like it should've dropped off slowly because I could see the sloping rocks and pebbles under the water, but that was not the case. I turned left and started swimming down the river at a slightly faster than normal speed. Somehow I managed to keep my head above the water, even though I wasn't using my arms at all. I knew I'd have to go under, though, because I was afraid the man whose car I'd stolen, and my mother, would see me. I also knew that to go underwater, I had to be able to breathe underwater. I vaguely remember asking a fisherman for a spell that could do this, which he told me, and I remember actively trying to memorize it. When I spoke the spell, I had a Harry Potter-related vision. Harry was in his red "triwizard tournament" swimming outfit (from The Goblet of Fire). At that moment, I went underwater and attempted to breathe, with a slight fear that I wouldn't be able to, and that I would drown. But I was able to breathe. It was like taking in heavier air; it required more lung power. I arced deeper underwater where it became almost pitch black, and I saw two strange squids coming towards me. They were burgundy and had yellow eyes. When I saw them, the lighting quickly became a bit brighter and bluer, but I still couldn't see them perfectly. I grabbed the first one, which must have been the size of a seadoo, and pulled its tentacles off. There was no blood or anything; the tentacles came off in one big bunch as if it were a living toy made of two pieces. The connecting outline was wavy. I squished the other squid against the underwater "wall" of the river. Again, there was no blood.

    6. Special Powers and Failed DEILD

      This one is pretty fragmented, but I won't count it as a fragment because there are enough remembered pieces to make a full entry.
      Part 1 - Assassin

      I was at my house, in the square-shaped living room. The lighting was dark, but one corner of the living room had an almost spotlight-like glow to it, from a light source somewhere on the ceiling, angling towards that corner. The lighting was yellowish, and it almost had a greenish tone to it. The floor was a plush tan carpet, and in the corner, on the wall below the spotlight, where the spotlight, there was a black flatscreen television. I'm guessing it was fifty inches. It was on, but I can't remember what it was displaying. In front of this television, there were two pale red leather chairs with taller backs. And there were four or five people hanging out in this little area. They were targets of mine.

      I was behind them, a good ten or fifteen feet back. I slowly crept forward, close to the ground, and brought my right hand forward. In this hand, I was holding a staff! It was a slightly matte gold color, and it had a long, thicker strip of gold shaped into the outline of a heart on the end. At the end of the staff, on top of the heart, was a small red ruby. It was shaped like a bipyramid, ie. the shape you'd get if you stuck the bottoms of two pyramids together.

      I said, "watch out" in an intimidating tone. Then I kicked off from the ground and jumped directly over the two chairs, so I could see who was in them. When I was in mid-air, my movement slowed to a standstill, which was an interesting effect. I stayed suspended in the air for a few moments, and the two people who were sitting in the chairs stood up and gasped at me. The other people backed up against the wall; one person put their hands up in front of them. I brought the staff over my left shoulder and swung it back out in front of me, strongly, and it created a sheet-like, crescent-shaped white blast of light. It knocked everyone out.



      Part 2 - Kicking Back... at the Enemies

      This is the last part of the dream I remember before waking up.

      There was a large, decently-lit hexagonal room that was probably 50x50 feet, and probably had a ceiling twice the height of those in an average house. I knew this ceiling was made of a thin sheet of steel without even looking at it; I knew the steel was thin enough to blast through, but I didn't consider doing so. The walls of this room were essentially six taller glass panels; they were pretty thick, and bulletproof. They didn't touch at the corners, but were connected by small metal hinges, like the kind you see in restroom stall doors. The walls were unable to be moved, though.

      This entire room was inside a larger one that was poorly lit. I couldn't see the dimensions, but I did know it wasn't that much bigger. The walls of the two rooms were pretty tight and close together. I also knew that the walls of the larger room were made entirely of dark grey, bricked-shaped stones, and the floor was concrete. I knew this because I was standing not five feet away from the entrance to the glass room. The entrance was in one of the glass panels, and basically just consisted of a rectangular section of glass that would detach from the panel and slide upward, creating an opening.

      Inside the glass room, the ground was grass, and there was a wide mote that went along the back half of the room. This mote wasn't at ground level, but was four or five feet deeper into the ground. In the middle of the room was a mound covered in taller grass, and a tree. I can't remember what the tree looked like, but I knew its branches spread out towards the edges of the room and almost created a ceiling of leaves. Along with this scenery, there were lots of people. The whole room was packed; from the outside I didn't recognize anyone because they were all walking around, sitting, looking at me through the glass. At this point, I knew I was with my sister and another friend (whom I don't remember) but I didn't actually see them yet.

      "Ready?" I asked out-loud to my two companions, but if they were there, they didn't answer. I didn't think this was odd, though. I ran towards the glass door that slid open very fast. A bunch of people had congregated at the door and were tripping over each other, trying to get out. The majority of them were on the floor, on their stomachs; there was a mass with probably three layers of people on top of each other. The crowd came up to my chest - hardly anyone was standing anymore! I ran at them, knowing I had to knock them all out.

      I was now right outside the entrance. I started to kick people back, folding my right leg and forcefully kicking out, slightly downwards at the people. A few of them ended up running away, but my dream-self didn't notice or care. I remember seeing Matt Damon's head poking out of the crowd; he had lighter brown hair and a lime green hoodie; he was practically buried under everyone else. I continued to kick at people. A few of these people reacted oddly and ended up flying right into the center of the glass room, as if they were made of feathers! During a few kicks, I saw the arms of people reach out and briefly grab my leg, but their grips weren't very strong, and I just pulled my leg back to continue attacking. After a few minutes, I backed up a bit. I saw Halle Berry at this time. She had a short haircut and she was wearing a modern red dress, crawling out of the room right beside me. I can't remember what happened to her. I was still outside of the glass room, so I had to make an effort to get in. I leaped onto the mass of people and bounded over them, landing in the grass. All the people now got up as if they'd rehearsed getting out of that heap, and spread out into the room. I looked behind me and saw a person running up to attack me. I landed a roundhouse kick to them.

      I remember using superpowers too, when I was in the glass room, but I can't remember what they were. They mostly involved magic, but I'm positive I used super strength as well.

      I attempted to DEILD, because in the end I felt my senses pouring in from waking life, but I failed it.

    7. Fragment 2/3 - Cracked Land

      There was much more to this dream, but I can't remember what. From the part I remember, it was nighttime, and I was at the bottom of a sheer cliff. This cliff was probably only 100 feet tall, and it was made of dark brown rock. In front of me stretched an ocean of very dark water; the sky was fairly dark, but not like it would be in the middle of the night. This darkness gradated to a lighter, almost green-blue at the horizon, where the water was. I was standing on a smooth, mint green piece of 'land' that had a wavy edge on one side. There were ripples of white in it, and the entire thing was shiny. I stepped on it and the land cracked into three pieces; two of them were large and the other piece was rather small. I don't remember what happened after that; I know that I didn't end up going in the water, though.

    8. Fragment 1/3 - Sleep Paralysis

      Haven't had good recall lately... These three fragments are from the past two days.

      This was a false awakening. I was on my bed, and had just 'woken' from a previous dream. I wanted to get up and do something else, but I was stuck in sleep paralysis. I experienced some weird hallucinations; when I opened my eyes near the beginning of the episode, I saw tiny stars from the mario games that were floating near the ceiling. I remember squeezing my eyes shut and finding myself in a large garden with trimmed hedges, grey stone for walkways, and lots of pollen in the air. That must have been the 'dream' that was forming, but I soon lost it.

      I came to the unconscious conclusion that I was dreaming, and tried to snap out of it, on the verge of shouting because the SP hallucinations were becoming frightening (these ones were mostly tactile, not visual - my eyes were closed now). However, the level of lucidity was incredibly low, so it could have simply been part of the dream plot, not real awareness. The viewpoint changed from first- to third-person sometime during this part of the dream.

    9. Tom Felton and the Harry Potter Cast

      In this dream, I was walking down a long, rather narrow room with concrete floors, glass windows and an arcing ceiling. Seen from the side, the room would look like a pentagon with rounded top corners in shape. It reminded me of that connecting passageway from Hogwarts castle that was suspended high above the ground, with old-fashioned pillars and structures. One end of this passageway ended with drywall and two thick, hinged wooden doors that opened away from each other. The other end opened up into a room of some sort, an empty room made of the same old-fashioned type of structure.

      I wasn't myself at the moment, but rather Tom Felton, the actor who played Draco in the Harry Potter films. For once, I distinctly remember what I was wearing - a longer black coat, a black and white striped winter scarf (not a real fluffy one; somewhere in between flat and fluffy), and jeans. I looked pretty handsome, if I do say so myself.

      I was just walking down the passageway, and I stopped a quarter of the way down. In this area, I saw some different actors and actresses from [I]Harry Potter[/I, and some characters - it was quite strange, because they weren't just the people dressing up as their characters - they were the actual characters. I saw Ron Weasley's mom talking to a few unidentifiable characters; as I started to keep walking forward, she turned around, smiled and said hi, then gave me a pat on the shoulder; I nodded curtly and just kept walking. I obviously had Malfoy's mannerisms.

      I saw the two Weasley brothers, Fred and George sitting on the ground up against the wall (right below a window). I knew they were just relaxing and having a good time, because they were laughing and cracking inaudible jokes. I also remember seeing Severus Snape walking around. The last person I saw was Daniel Radcliffe, not in character but simply signing autographs for a crowd of young boys and girls in Hogwarts-esque uniforms.

      At this point I was now myself; I didn't talk to anyone, but instead just leaned up against the wall and put my hands in my pockets. After a minute or so, suddenly one of my friends walked up to me and asked (rather gleefully) if I could "sign" a tattoo on her arm.

      "Really?" I asked, incredulous. "The Harry Potter cast is here, why do you want me to sign?"

      She replied, "you're the best artist!"

      I said, "not now, but maybe later".

      Despite my answer, she took my hand. Then she proceeded to bring my hand towards her upper arm and, somehow, draw something on her upper arm using that hand of mine. At some point during this, I saw that my hand was now holding a fountain pen that belonged to her. The ink on her arm was dark blue, but I don't remember what the exact design/message/etc was.

    10. Lethal Chopsticks

      I spent almost ten minutes trying to remember what this dream was about! But once I recalled the middle part, things fell into place and connected on both sides.
      [JUSTIFY]I was in a darkly-lit, rectangular room that was about 40x15 feet, with walls that were a deep burgundy color. The light source came from four small, circular yellow lights in the ceiling. On one short side of the room, there was a plasma flat-screen television that was mounted perfectly on the wall, not tilted or angling downwards. Facing this television, and going down the long length of the room, was a line of chairs positioned against the right wall. They were wider than normal chairs and were made of wood, very basic in shape and style, like someone has just taken unpolished segments of wood and stuck them together - a random carpenter's project gone sour. There were six or seven chairs, and behind them was a simple fold-out table with a white plastic top and steel legs. On top of it was a smooth, thinner (but not transparent) black tablecloth that almost reminded me of silk, but it wasn't as reflective. This cloth came down four or five inches over the sides of the table, hanging there.

      I knew that the table was white, even though I couldn't see it - I was actually underneath the table, being held hostage by five or six people who were sitting in the chairs ahead of me! They weren't focused on me at all, but instead were watching something on the television (which was emitting a bright white light, with pale green around the edges). They were all wearing thin, dark gray cloaks with hoods, but their relatively small hoods were all down. I could see the backs of their heads. There were mostly men, but I remember seeing a woman too. One man had a buzz cut, and another had no hair at all. Standing immediately to the left of the television, leaning with his back against the wall, was a guy who must have been in his late thirties; he too was bald. He was holding his hands together in front of him, his arms and shoulders relaxed. On the wall adjacent to the one he was leaning against, there was a doorway, the wooden door itself half-open, boasting a brass doorknob.

      Meanwhile, I was still underneath the table, which was very dark. But I wasn't alone. There were a few other people, namely, a girl who looked a bit younger than me. She reminded me of one of my classmates, as she had darker, wavy blonde hair, and freckles. She looked at me with a terrified and uncertain expression, and I mimicked it.

      What were these people going to do to us? I thought.

      At that moment, I knew I had to get out of here, and I was prepared to come up with even the riskiest of plans to do so. Still underneath the table, I shimmied over on my knees toward the left side, and peered out to the wall beside it, which was four or five feet away. Right there was an entrance to another room - there was a very short, square-shaped doorway with no door, just a brown wooden frame. It must have only been three feet tall and wide. Through this 'doorway', I could see a bathroom-sized room with pale yellow bathroom tiles and little pale blue diamonds in the corners of each tile, like an actual floor. It was well-lit and reminded me exactly of a kitchen setting; I even remember a white refrigerator up against the far wall. Sitting against the wall, there were a few terrified-looking people, mostly women; I remember one of them having blonde hair in a ponytail. She was sitting with her knees pulled up, her arms around them; as I peered over into the room and looked at her, our gazes locked for a moment.

      I nodded to her and then looked back at the other girl, the one underneath the table.

      "Now!" she shouted, and I scrambled out from underneath the table. For some reason, I knew that my escape would cost her life; the people in the room would end up killing her because of me. As I got up, the lighting in the room suddenly changed from being dark to being lit by a window. On the right wall, opposite of the one the chairs were against (to help you picture this, I ran forward a bit and then to the left), was a tall, rectangular indent in the wall. The indent was neat and sharp, probably ten feet tall and five feet wide. There was a cube of wall that went up about five feet inside it, and above this cube was the square window. It was clear; past it I could see a courtyard of sorts.

      I yelled as I charged through it, using my elbow to prevent some of the glass from hitting my face. I remember fearing, only slightly, that I might get cut from the glass but I wasn't injured. I was wearing a dark-colored hoodie of some sort.*

      I landed in the courtyard, well, after leaning forward and then catching my balance. It was essentially an area of about 40x40 feet, with rectangular gray and grayish-brown stone for ground, and gray stone walls reaching at least three times my own height. The area was empty, with the exception of a pair of ornate, wooden benches positioned side-by-side, a few feet away from the left wall, facing the opposite wall. In the middle of the wall they were facing, there was a large, square glass window (probably eight feet wide and tall) that had a frosted appearance; you couldn't see through it. The window was bordered by a thick, clean wooden frame. On the wall adjacent to the one containing this window, and opposite of where I'd just blasted out from, was a tall, rectangular block of wood. It was a frame like that surrounding the frosted window, but it was thin, and there was no window; it just led to another area. The area that should have contained a window pane was only about a foot wide and a bit taller than I was.

      In front of this ridiculously skinny window was a woman on a brown horse. The woman was Asian, and wearing some sort of traditional gown. It went down to her ankles and was light, mint green in color, and made of fairly thick, smooth fabric. It was accented by red outlines around the edges of the fabric, and gold leaf patterns on the lower portion. She had her black hair up in a bun with two chopsticks placed to hold it in place, and she was wearing heavier makeup.

      I knew I had to run through that tiny opening, but she was in the way. Regardless, I ran towards her, shouting as I did. I was aware of people chasing me, following me and ready to capture me again. When I got within ten feet of her, she took out a porcelain chopstick (from who knows where) and hurled it at me, exclaiming. The chopstick was cream in color, and shiny like porcelain is. On the thicker end, it had a strip of red and maroon with intricate gold patterns. It shot like a bullet and just missed the left part of my stomach. I continued to run and dodged slightly over to the right. When I got right up against the horse, which barely moved the entire time, I pushed on the ground with one of my feet and leapt up, going past her left shoulder. Right when I started the jump, though, she threw another chopstick and it stuck in my right thigh, hanging out. I could feel it in my leg. Mid-jump, I pulled it out and felt a small, thin stream blood flowing from my leg. It stopped when I grabbed onto the window frame and totally forgot about the woman right behind me, though. As far as I knew, she wasn't there anymore!

      I turned and tried to push myself through the window sideways, which took a lot of effort to do.* It didn't hurt, although I really had to squeeze a lot to get through. Right when I got through, somehow that frosted window appeared right behind it; I proceeded to smash through that one too, again blocking myself from glass shards but with both arms crossed in front of my face.

    11. Jellyfish Fireworks and Tentacles

      It was nighttime and I was inside my house. More specifically, I was in the living room. Our living room is fairly spacious, being about 30x20 feet, and this held true in the dream. I was only looking at one specific part in the living room, but I could sense the airy space around me. One of the longer walls (this room was rectangular) had the front door to our house in it, near the end of the wall. On the short wall adjacent to this one, was a beige loveseat and a burgundy, modern-looking leather chair. There was a maroon rug with tan accents that would change to gold if light shone on them in the middle of the room, taking up a good quarter of the space, and on the same wall as the door, in the middle, was a fireplace consisting of tan bricks. The opening was lined with silver. In between the fireplace and the door, but closer to the fireplace, was a tall window.

      The room was not lit very well. However, some pale (almost bordering on sickly) darker yellow light was coming in from the window, landing on the edge of the carpet and a bit of the fireplace. The rest of the room was very, very dark though. To add to the surreality of the room, there was no actual floor! The bottom of the fireplace and walls faded out into a blurry black abyss below, where you couldn't see anything but black. I was floating in a cross-legged sitting position (along with the rug, which was also floating) in front of the fireplace.

      I was floating there for a few seconds, and then my sister walked up behind me, also suspended like I was. I looked to the side a bit and saw her sit down. In her arms, she was carrying a normal cardboard box. She tilted it out of her grip and let it fall down into the blackness. Right after it disappeared, a few packages of unlit fireworks came floating up and stopped right at floor level, as if they'd hit an invisible barrier beneath us. They just floated there, not moving at all. One package was shaped like a circular balloon weight with shiny purple foil around it, and another was a simple cylindrical shape that was aqua blue in colour. It was very close to the size of one of those mega-sized Smarties or Mentos tubes.

      I took the aqua cylinder and it resisted my grasp a bit, not wanting to move, but I still got it rather easily. I then squeezed it right in the middle and it crumpled in this area, almost like one of the twists on a New Years cracker. The cylinder then (forcefully) flew out of my hand, and stopped three or four feet in front of me, not going higher into the air but just staying near 'ground' level. It let out a small explosion that was self-contained, not coming out more than a foot. The light created by it was light was dim, not bright, even during the initial explosion. It blew out into a sphere of dim sparks and light, then flew off on an arc, the remaining particles spreading out and dissipating.

      The firecracker shaped like the shiny purple balloon weight had vanished, and I couldn't see it anywhere once the first firework had gone away. My dream self thought this was normal, and I was expecting another firework to go off in a minute.

      Not five seconds later, another firework went off. First it created a small, bright white light where the last one went off, and then blew up outwards, changing from white to a thin, transparent purple and blue bag-like blob, exactly like a jellyfish! The shape was smooth and circular, slightly flattened out like a normal jellyfish, and even cooler was that it had very thin, tapering pale purple tentacles that were almost glowing with a dim pink light.

      My sister passively warned me to "stay back". Still in a cross-legged position, I shambled backwards a few inches without getting up. Then, I saw a bunch of the same type of tentacles appear around me, as if I was a jellyfish. It was an effect of the firework; I looked at my sister and she too had a radius of tentacles coming out from around her, fading to nothing as they got to her midsection. I remember being fascinated by this, and then I woke up.

    12. Fragment - What Idiotic Parents

      This is another dream that I recalled the same night as the previous entry, Fragment - I Didn't Study!.

      I was outside, on the top of a grassy hill that sloped down into a long river. This river was situated in a small public park (my dream-self knew I was in a park, even though I didn't actually see a park sign or anything). It was night and therefore very dark, but there were a few black street lights along the side of the river, lighting the area dimly. I could see the faint outlines of objects and people against the midnight blue color of the sky.

      The hill I was on was rather steep, and at max it must have been fifteen feet above the surface of the water in the river. On the top of the hill was a row of flat, square-shaped concrete stepping stones that had the texture of pumice, but they were light beige or something like that. Each one was about half a foot from the next one. I was on one of these stones, and I peered over the edge to look into the river. I saw the highlights as the pale light caught the ripply waves of the river, which were a bit more turbulent than you'd expect in a normal river. The water was flowing relatively quickly, too.

      I heard somewhat-exhausted breathing and immediately turned to my right to see the source of the noise. I saw a young girl with olive skin; she was wearing a light yellow dress and was skipping along the stones, jumping from one to the next, right along the side of the hill. She would fall any minute.

      As the girl passed me, I remember scornfully saying out loud, "what idiotic parents would let their child do that?"

    13. Fragment - I Didn't Study!

      Last night was filled with different fragments, and nothing else. Maybe I should stop going to bed at 4:00 AM.

      I was at school, standing in the restroom. The room was about thirty by fifteen feet, with paler, turquoise laminate flooring that had a bunch of little bumps for texture - it's a slightly better-than-average looking room. There was an open doorway, with no door, on one of the longer walls. Next to this doorway was a basic cream, rectangular countertop with sharp edges, going to the end of the wall. The counter had three white sinks. Above it was one long mirror, divided into three even segments that were directly touching each other. On the other long wall, there were five or six cubicles that were smoothly painted this color. They were all closed.

      The lighting wasn't coming from harsh, bright white fluorescent lights. The atmosphere of the room was fairly dim; the lighting was steady but probably only a bit more than half the brightness caused by fluorescent bulbs.

      I was standing in front of the sink on the right, the closest one to the entrance. To my left, in front of the other two sinks were two of my friends; I can't remember who they were exactly, though. The only thing regarding these two people that I distinctly remember is that one of them was wearing a pullover, maroon-colored hoodie. I was in the bathroom with them because we had fifteen minutes before our AP Chemistry test, and I was just totally freaking out because of this.

      Turning towards my friends, I said rather nervously, "I didn't study at all!"

      One of them replied, "well, that's too bad..." and trailed off. Both of them left the restroom and left me there.

    14. FA - Square in my Vision and Dream Sleep Paralysis

      This dream immediately preceded the previous entry, Harmonica and Minor MDP Activities. It consists of more false awakenings and in-dream "fake sleep paralysis" crap.

      I woke up in my bed, the lights in the room on like normal. Okay, I didn't really wake up - I had actually entered my first false awakening in months.

      I was on my back, with my duvet cover half pulled onto me, up to my stomach. I wasn't thinking about the lucid dream that I just had; instead, I was focused on just trying to get my vision to work. I was looking up at the ceiling, slightly down and to the right, almost at the wall. My eyes didn't seem to be functioning properly; I was seeing slightly in double vision. Outlines of objects were shimmering and rippling. I moved slightly in my bed, lifting my arm up and feeling the air move over it as I did. My bed must have been warm for me to notice the cooler air in the room when I moved.

      I breathed out and my gaze shifted to the right, almost to my door. The door was on the wall right-adjacent to the one that the head of my bed was up against. As my eyes looked further and further to the right, a black, almost fully-transparent silhouette shaped like a CD case came into the left corner of my vision. When I looked less to the right and more to the left, the square would also move to the left and go further from the center of my vision, and obstruct less of my view. I got frustrated and thought, briefly, that this might just be a dream, but it didn't go anywhere.

      I decided to try WILDing and ignore this 'square'. I closed my eyes; when I did, they didn't actually close, and I could still see everything around me. As with practically all of my dream sleep paralysis episodes, in a few moments I felt shaking, and saw the covers being pulled off of me. For some reason, I was looking up with my head resting normally against my pillow, but I could see the foot of my bed as if my head was actually up. My covers in real life pretty much consist of a down duvet with a rainbow-striped cover, with alternating colors of sky blue, red, orange, yellow, pale purple and green (the stripes themselves also vary in thickness). This was the case in the dream, too. I saw the duvet getting pulled towards the foot of my bed, and then underneath, as if something was sitting under the end there, just reeling it all in.

      I then suddenly fell through my bed and smacked the floor on my back, which hurt the top part of my spine, in between my shoulders, a bit. Realistic pain isn't uncommon in my SP dreams either. It was now pretty dark in the room, as if all the lights were off but moonlight was pouring in from the windows - lots of moonlight. The floor was dusty, but I couldn't move anything but my head and eyes. I was facing upwards, looking up at the underside of my bed which now had a hole burned through it; there were broken wood pieces and splinters around the edges of this hole, which was probably twice the size of a dinner plate. Past the hole, up at the ceiling, it was really dark.

      I then looked to the left, a bit nervous because of how intense this sleep paralysis was getting, and saw a monster - it was a very disfigured, pale, pale blue-green person with their mouth half-open, missing teeth, and dry, torn skin. They weren't wearing anything but I could only recognize their legs and arms, and not their stomach or anything else besides their facial features - maybe not even that! They had holes where their eyes should've been, a triangular hole where the nose should be (like on a skull), and only a few thin strands of lighter, pale hair.

      I started to feel intense vibrations, which were also similar to real life ones.

      Then I woke up for real.

    15. Downey, Your Lines Are...

      Last night, I wrote out my intentions to become lucid and end up on top of an airport building during the day, but instead I wound up on top of a city building at night. The lucid part didn't really turn out well either. But the "lines" in question were actually lines that I was planning on using in an upcoming MDP dream, further down the road. The words weren't exact, but they were pretty close to what I wanted to use. I guess that's proof that constantly thinking about something will have it end up in your dreams. This dream was cool because I told a DC some lines they would be saying as part of a story, as well as my own lines. Shortly after they said their first line, I forgot my own, but they reminded me what it was. And they were correct.

      It was night, and I was kneeling up on top of a taller building with Robert Downey Jr..

      The building was square-shaped on top, only about 10x10 feet, which probably wouldn't have been able to exist in real life. There was a taller building, the same shape, coming up against two adjacent sides of the building we were on, rising up past us by about least 10 feet. Past the building we were on, and the two beside us, were many other city structures that went off into the distance, creating a vast layout of buildings that looked incredibly realistic. I looked down.

      On the ground was a long road going right past the front of our building, which branched off into a few smaller roads. Sidewalks lined both sides of this road, and right next to the sidewalks were more buildings, one of which had a half-circle shaped "deli" sign made from polished brown wood and basic yellow-painted text.

      Since it was dark - the night sky was the deepest, darkest possible shade of blue in which you could still tell that it was actually blue - the whole city had a dark tone to it in terms of hues and shades. The street was lit by a few lights that didn't appear to be visible, and had a very warm, orange and pale red vibe, as if you were driving on that certain highway, one that's lit by street lights, at night. Our building had a paler, more bluish tone. The top of the building we were standing on was made of that tan or greyish asphalt stuff that was pressed down into a flat surface, which was fairly realistic.

      So we were essentially sitting there. I was down on one knee with my arm resting on the other one, just surveying the area. Robert was sitting against one of the buildings right up against the one we were on.

      "Come here," I told him, migrating to the edge of the building but still keeping a good few inches away from the edge. He quickly walked over and sat down next to me, the same distance as I was from the edge.

      "Downey, I'll give you your lines now. First you're going to say, rather dejectedly, they're still not going to stop. Nothing's changed. Then I'll say, keep trying. They're tired and uncertain now."

      He nodded. "Okay."

      "Then, I can see that. I'll try again. My last line will be, I'll be waiting for you downstairs. Got it?

      Again, he nodded his head and then got up, looking over onto the street. I too leaned over, still half-seated, and saw a few police cars parked half a block down the street, the red and yellow lights on the top of their cars flashing around and around.

      Robert Downey Jr. shrugged and started to say the lines, slightly different but still very similar to what I'd told him to say. "They won't stop." A brief pause and, "nothing is different."

      I turned to him to reply, opened my mouth, and totally blanked. I could remember my mind racing, trying to remember, but I couldn't. He then caught my eye and held his hand out in a gesturing motion. "Keep..." and looked at me expectantly.

      "Keep trying, they're tired and uncertain now."

      "Good. I can see that. I'll try again."

      Then he started to turn around and walk away. My gaze followed him for an instant and then I looked back to the police cars.

      I woke up.
