    1. 17-04-16 Time-Travel Nightmare, VR Nightmare

      by , 04-16-2017 at 07:20 PM
I was in a room, I think on the first floor. There was a puddle of water on the floor. Suddenly, something happens. The water starts moving... towards one of the walls. The puddle splits up into many smaller puddles, and they start crawling up the wall. Gravity starts shifting, and the air turns "electric". I could feel static electricity as I moved my hands through the air. Drops of water floated in the air. Suddenly, there was a "flash". I was still in the same house, but everything was different. All the furniture was in different places, and there were boxes everywhere. I recognized the mess from when I moved into this house, a year ago. It dawned on me that I had somehow ended up in the past, but I could not yet believe it. I was terrified, and wanted out of there ASAP. Outside, I found a person. I immediately asked him what year it was. It was 2016 according to him. That's when I moved in here. The whole dream, despite seeming like sci-fi when I read my notes now, was a complete nightmare when I was having it. I was terrified. I then had a false awakening. I saw a "picture" of a certain fictional character I fancy, and her eyes went black and started weeping black tears. Then I had another awakening, this time the real one... for several minutes, I was very paranoid about my surroundings, frightened I was still dreaming. I wasn't.

I was having another frightening experience in a large, condemned building. After a while, I knew this was a "VR game". I navigated a few corridors in the the open air, on walkways above the ground. I caught a glimpse of a "thing" in the distance, and thought it was a monster that had now seen me. Another "thing" approached from the opposite direction, the direction I was headed. I was pretty scared, until I saw the thing was just an older woman. I think she was a teacher. She started talking to me, and I amazed at the graphical quality of her animations and the realism of the world around me. I could now "feel" the VR goggles on my head.

    2. 17-04-12 Telling Fictional People They Don't Exist [Nightmare]

      by , 04-16-2017 at 07:08 PM
I was with two characters, people I knew were fictional. Something happened (a guy "died" and fell into a "coffin" filled with liquid concrete in a doorway?) and the characters took it seriously. However, I knew it wasn't real and wanted to show them. I dig out the concrete, showing them the person who fell was just a cardboard cutout. Suddenly the atmosphere of the "scene" changes. I get scared. The two characters 'freeze', and their eyes turn black. They say I should not have done that. Their next few sentences make some sense, but then I realize they're talking Lovecraftian gibberish. I suddenly "know" they will soon shapeshift into horrific abominations, so I flee. I run through a corridor to the front door, but it's locked. I had no choice but to navigate the many corridors of the "mansion" I was now in, and avoid the monsters stalking them. At some point I was attacked by an older lady, also talking gibberish. I could barely push her off of me.

    3. 17-04-13 Cabin in Snowy Night [Nightmare], Lots of Sex

      by , 04-14-2017 at 12:41 AM
Nightmare. I was in a dark, snowy place - staying at a cabin in the middle of nowhere with some others. I was supposed to give a businessman a ride on the snowmobile (for fun), while my colleague (we both worked for a boss who stayed in the cabin) took the other on his snowmobile. While riding, I suddenly got a really bad gut feeling. I headed back inside, but was suddenly confronted by one of the men we were giving a ride. I could tell it "wasn't him anymore". His face was emotionless to an inhuman degree. As if he had been bodysnatched by something. He attacked me. It was absolutely terrifying. I had no choice but to defend myself. I stabbed him several times in the face and neck with a pen (I think it was a pen, anyway). He seemed dead. I closed the door and headed inside, wanting to warn the others that there were two people still outside, perhaps also bodysnatched. I had a rotten feeling the people in the cabin had disappeared leaving me alone... surrounded by horrors.

Lots of sex scenes. They've been quite common these past few days.

    4. 17-02-08 Brussels Nuked, Monster Chase, More Nightmares, Driving

      by , 02-09-2017 at 07:01 AM
I was in a large high-rise with several others. Among them my former friends (Fenn & Barra). There was a large window overlooking the city, which was definitely Brussels. The atmosphere was tense. Something was happening, something "global". I said "they" would never go as far as nuking a certain military target (some 20 miles from the city). But then, a nuclear explosion occurred right in the center of the city. In that split second, I came to the horrible realization how wrong I was. The explosion was blinding and the fireball spread quickly, and I knew we were fucked. In that moment, I realized I was going to die. There was not enough time to think about it, not even enough time to get properly scared (only the onset of fear with a little bit of denial). I felt the intense heat from the blast almost scorching my face, and everything got really bright as the fireball arrived. But suddenly, it was gone. No fireball, no other people, nothing. I was still terrified, ran the other direction and jumped out of the window on the other side of the building (a smaller window). Not sure if it broke, or if I phased through it. I effortlessly flew away, and got out of there. After a while, I was flying over a wide road that no longer looked like Brussels. The weather was a lot sunnier than before, also. I made another stylish landing, and remembered what I'd seen. I had obviously been thrown back in time, somehow. I thought to myself that I should probably do something about it, and stop it from happening. After all, I had knowledge of the events, and I had this cool set of powers which kind of made me responsible. I think I suddenly 'knew' about all my other abilities, ones I had used in previous dreams but not in this one yet.

Nightmare time. I recall being in a building (just on floor, ground level) full of poorly-lit (and confusing) corridors with doors that all looked the same. Some kind of monster was loose. I could never get a proper look at it, but it was the stuff of nightmares. It didn't really have a shape of its own. It can best be compared with "The Thing", as it could also body-snatch victims. In one scene, it got very close as it attacked me and another person (or several). At this point, it was more or less an amorphous mass of grey "matter", but definitely biological (a bit like the Molded from Resident Evil 7). It made a leap for me, but I ducked away and it missed. It undoubtedly killed the other guy as I ran away through the corridors - terrified of course. I went through doors without knowing where they'd lead me. They all looked the same. I closed doors behind me, and locked them. It could bust through doors without a problem. I entered a bathroom, and for a moment I thought I'd run into a dead end. It would catch me for sure. But then I noticed a door I hadn't seen before... on the opposite side of the entrance. It lead to another wing of the building. I kept running, and came to the docks (!!). There was a person in the last room before I got outside (I think). I also found a box full of things I could use as weapon. Including a rusty Katana in a plain wooden sheath. I shrugged at the shitty quality of the blade, and took it anyway. I ran across the docks, an reached a ship. It looked like an old fishing boat. I managed to convince the crew and owner that we needed to leave right away. As they prepared to cast off, I kept an eye on the building. I *knew* the beast wasn't going to give up, and it was after me.

This nightmare took place on an island, I think. There was some kind of "infection" spreading. Not a simple disease, but something monstrous. I knew this dream was "the sequel" to the previous one. The whole atmosphere was terrifying. In the end, we'd made it to an airport, and had boarded a plane to escape. I looked out of the window as we were taxiing. The tarmac was covered in a kind of fleshy "red weed", which was taking over the whole island. But only we (me and the others from the group) could see it... no one else. It was playing mind tricks on us... In another scene, someone had died. One of my companions, an alien (humanoid, but not quite human), was angry at me because I hadn't paid my proper respects at his funeral. I was too shocked at the time, because his body was full of (and overgrown with) the horrific red weed. It was a repulsive sight. In the end, we had to do something to end the infection. It happened in a relatively small basement, and involved a bizarre puzzle on the wall involving foods (linking food to a certain category, also some math)...

I was driving car through city at night. But something just felt "wrong". Like, something evil was in the air. A general sense of dread that also filled the previous dream. Suddenly, my car didn't want to accelerate properly anymore, and it took effort on my part just to make it move. I pulled over. At some point I pull a cover off my car (like a sail people put over their cars to protect them from the winter cold). I drove off again, and noticed I'd forgotten to turn my lights on again. At a junction, I looked to my right and recognized a former classmate (Tim Botte) on the sidewalk. I think I was distracted and didn't realize the light had gone green. I made a right turn at the light (depite not being in the right section for that maneuver). What a boring ending!
    5. 17-02-04 Chased By Alien, Wax Factory

      by , 02-05-2017 at 07:37 PM
I was chased by an Alien (from the movie Alien), no doubt a result of playing "Alien: Isolation" a week ago. I remember running, together with other people, as it chased us through the countryside. I somehow remembered this happening before, as if I knew the plot of the dream before it had happened. I also remembered that it would chase me through a forest, and that we would then battle the beast in a sawmill of sorts. The final battle of the plot. I ran into the forest, and avoided the site of the sawmill. In another scene I fled from the beast in an industrial harbor, zigzagging between the legs of gigantic loading cranes. It was dark (night) and once again raining. Then we were in a supermarket, still being chased by the Alien. There were once again a few of us now. At one point I knew I could not escape, and the Alien would get me. I kind of "gave up" and turned around instead to face the beast. When it approached, I attacked it instead. I gave it a good whack in the head. Then, I had its head in my grip. I held its mouth (which looked more like a bird's beak than an Alien's mouth) with both hands to keep it from biting. As long as I could hold it like this, it was restrained. The other people showed up. One of them was a giant, who made it clear he would fight the beast to keep it distracted. We made a run for it. I ran out of the supermarket, back into the rainy night. I ran as fast as I could, towards two people who were just getting into their car. They turned out to be former colleagues. I pretty much begged them for a ride, and they agreed. They completely failed to see the reason for my panic. I tried telling them, but they just ignored my warnings... like stupid characters in a horror movie. I told them that if they saw something weird on the road ahead, to definitely NOT stop the car. I somehow knew I was in a horror movie, and I was afraid all the cliche tropes would actually happen. I was even afraid one of the men would turn out to be body-snatched by the monsters or something. While they drove away from the harbor (taking their time, much to my annoyance), one of them asked where my car was, and said he would never want to sit in a car like mine. I used to drive a crappy 1990 Opel Corsa (and clearly subconsciously feel insecure about that). We kept driving, and they kept talking. Much to my surprise, it looked like we were actually going to get away! I chose to end the dream there, as I was afraid that in the next chapter (!) the beast would show up again.

In the next dream, I was inside a wax factory. I think I worked there, in a pretty high function. I remember taking a bite from a honeycomb. There were other employees in the warehouse with me. Later in in the dream, I was in an office upstairs (overlooking the factory through a large window). Night had fallen, and the other employees had gone home. I was there alone. There was something I needed to do downstairs in the warehouse... but something felt wrong. I again "knew" I was in a horror story and this was going to be the first time I run into the monster (not the Alien this time). I do recall a monster from later in the dream, a beast that looked very different from the Alien, but still scary.

I remember seeing our old cats (long dead by now). Specifically "Lotje". I was happy to see her, and petted her.

One dream got a little creepy. Never a nightmare, but unsettling enough to make me wake up. Awake, I felt very paranoid for a while and had to close the bathroom door because I couldn't help but think of suddenly seeing a creepy entity there.

    7. 16-10-01 School Meltdown

      by , 10-02-2016 at 11:59 PM
I recall being with a bunch of people (funny how I'm so often near people in dreams, but most of my days IRL are spent in complete solitude) in a school. At some point, there's a guy who loses his shit (a teacher pissed him off?) and violently throws a glass bottle onto the ground, shattering it into a million pieces. I admired him for "sticking it to the man" and tried to express my admiration, but he was pissed and ignored me. I think he bumped into me as he walked away.

Later, we're sitting at a table together. We were teamed up for some reason. Suddenly, unprovoked (we weren't even speaking), he got mad again and shattered another bottle on the table. He silently threatened me with the sharp, broken bottle he's still holding. Then he got up and left. This time, I got furious with indignation. I made quite a scene, trying to get someone to listen to me, and acknowledge what that guy just did. I said I could have been killed, but no one listen or took me seriously. I talked to some authority figure, who dismissed my claims and even implied I was a hypocrite and had done something similar myself. I denied it, as I could not remember doing such a thing. This accusation me even more furious, borderline hysterical actually. The feeling of powerlessness, of being mocked by everybody, I just couldn't handle it. I yelled that I was going to the cops. I saw my former boss arrive at his office on his "shift". He noticed the drama, but ignored it and went into his office. I think I tried calling the cops earlier during my meltdown, but couldn't do it. I was just too pissed to properly use my smartphone...

    8. 16-09-21 Defeating 'Thing', Survival Game

      by , 09-22-2016 at 01:10 AM
This dream started as a nightmare. A pretty terrifying one. There was a person in bed, in a dark bedroom. She (I think it was a girl) started "changing" into a horrific monster, like in "The Thing". I think it attacked me. Next thing I remember, we're in a supermarket, and the thing is attacking me. I gained courage somehow, and remember getting pretty savage. I think I poked its eyes out with my fingers, and shoved my hand in its maw (it had a humanoid head, but slimy grey skin and huge teeth). I didn't feel pain, despite obviously being bitten, and I didn't expect to feel it, either. A subconscious sliver of realization that this was a dream? I rammed the creature into a glass... what do you call it... the glass doors of a refrigerated cabinet where you have all the meat products and whatever are on display. Next thing I know, the "creature" is on the ground, defeated... and it turns out it's a girl on stilts, wearing a silly suit! She's crying, and people are rushing to help her. I think they blamed me, and said I hurt her.

I was in some kind of "survival game", played in an outdoor arena. There were ruins, bushes and some open spaces. It started with scavenging for weapons and gear, and then staying alive. I remember wearing body armor in one session, and a backpack in a later one (I suddenly felt my armor was now a backpack). I also had an intense standoff with a woman. She had a ponytail, and a pistol, and I had a pretty semi-automatic rifle. Not an AR-15, but longer and with a smaller magazine. We aimed at each other, kind of daring each other to shoot. She back away slowly, never letting me out of her sights. I wanted to kill her, by slowly pulling the trigger. I figured if I pulled it slowly enough, she wouldn't notice. The gun fired... but not really, because I had no ammo... luckily, she didn't notice it, and disappeared. I think I discarded the empty gun, and started scavenging some random parts to build a new gun.
    9. 16-08-19 Long-armed Monster

      by , 08-21-2016 at 02:40 AM
Terrifying nightmare. I was in the garden of our old house. It was dark. I saw silhouettes in distance (it's a pretty big garden). I had enough of being afraid, and charged in - loudly screaming. But I hesitated. I came up with the excuse that maybe it wasn't necessary. I ran away again, but my fears manifested a creature that chased my out of the garden, onto the street. I looked back, and to my terror it was still chasing, coming straight for me. It was humanoid, but with unnaturally long arms. Like Slenderman, but not as tall and far scarier because it moved fast. So fast. The moment it was about to "get" me, I woke up in sheer terror.
    10. 16-07-14 Pennywise & Fallen Angel

      by , 07-15-2016 at 12:43 AM
A fragment occurring before the 'main' dream featured classic Doom gameplay. It's possible I'm confusing this with a real memory - I watched a Doom video on the tube yesterday. Or maybe it did happen, and it was based on that.

The main dream, then. I was in a strange room. Possibly with someone else. Weird things were happening to the wall, as if reality was being 'bent', and I knew it was Pennywise the clown - a very common monster in my psyche. I approached it, and fully expected it to show its horrific teeth and attack. A bit later, Pennywise had a partner in crime, a woman I recognized as a 'fallen angel'. As I actually do rather often, I tried to reason and bargain with the monsters, instead of fleeing (not that fleeing was possible). I asked the woman why she was doing this. She opened a cabinet or small vault (not sure), in which I saw a dead newborn baby (not full-grown), with the umbilical cord still attached - in a pool of blood and/or water from the womb. She explained that human doctors had done this to her, and this is why she wanted all humans dead. I kind of understood her anger, but wanted to argue that the crimes of a few do not condemn all. But before I could do this, I woke up.

    11. 16-07-01 Creepy girl, Nazi's and Flying/Phasing

      by , 07-01-2016 at 02:59 PM
This dream partially overlapped with reality, as if I was in the early stages of a WILD - but I wasn't lucid. I saw a town. I recall some kind of device around my arm, and an application that reminded me of Facebook, or a dating app, telling me it suggested a nearby café for some reason. Only vague flashes remain of this bit. Then, I was in my bed (overlap with reality part starts here) and looked to my left through the open door of my bedroom. I saw a very creepy little girl dressed in red approach. I couldn't see her face. She looked a lot like Alma from the game FEAR. I was almost frozen in fear. At some point I decided I couldn't just lie there and let whatever happen, so I conquered my fear and jumped out of bed. I thought about getting one of my guns, and closing and locking the door. Sadly she was already in my room, walking by the bed to the other side. The rush of adrenaline I felt when I got out of the bed woke me up.

This dream featured gameplay of the game Fury³, a very old Microsoft game from 1995. My view was the camera of the ship. I flew around Terran, the first planet. My objective was to blow up some kind of tower. I fired on it, but it wouldn't blow up yet. I flew up, then dived down for another volley. Another target (or the same one?) also flailed to blow up. It took off (it was a big ship) and flew off. Having failed to destroy it, I expected to fail the game, but I think I got assigned a new target instead.

It started in a small room. It was a long time ago, possible early 20th century, or even late 19th century. A couple of men were showing their refrigerators (I know, random). They said it ran on 500 Watts of power. I had my refrigerator with me, a modern one (their was ancient, they were from the late 1800's after all), and said it ran on 2000 Watts. They got suspicious as mine looked way too "futuristic" to them. I was from the future, so their suspicion was justified. At some point I was apprehended by a Nazi. Gestapo, or SS. *Racism warning*. He called me a "nigger" and ordered me to come with him. I tried to reason with the creep, saying I was clearly white, but he would not listen. Some other guy, also a Nazi (except I had known this guy for longer, apparently) had to take me in. We walked through a large, crowded corridor. I begged him to look the other way for a moment so I could get away. He used to be a friend, I think. I managed to escape onto a small town square, then flee between two houses. The place looked pretty old and Mediterranean. I heard a Nazi scream something, and felt a whole horde of the bastards chasing me. I was running on the street, when I felt myself being lifted up from the ground. I started to fly. I wasn't freaked out by this, even though it was my first time (in this dream's continuity). I didn't mind, I knew they would never catch me at that speed. I wasn't very good at steering yet, and I felt I couldn't avoid hitting the houses on the other side of the street. I plunged right through the window of a café, past two people who were trying to enjoy their coffee. Despite not *really* remembering my previous flying experiences, I remembered I had always had trouble NOT flying into buildings and decided a different approach. I would *let it* happen, and see what happens. By ignoring the buildings and not worrying about what would happen, I phased right through them. I could "become solid" mid-flight and burst through walls/glass/whatever, which was cool. When I was out of the houses again, I gained altitude again and looked out over the town. I felt invincible. I wanted revenge on the Nazi's. I didn't care about their puny bullets anymore. I'd rip 'em apart with my bare hands, or use TK. I knew the school (the place I escaped from was a school, apparently) was to my left, so I tried to turn left while imagining the place to create it. I think I was lucid at this point. I probably gained lucidity at around the point I started flying. Sadly, I instantly woke up the moment I tried this.

Final flash before I called it a night: someone was doing some kind of job (on a large wall?), and I was scratching rust off of my car.

    12. 15-05-24 Kano

      by , 05-25-2015 at 10:00 AM
This was a nightmare about the Mortal Kombat character Kano. I was in a house, with a cute Asian girl. She was sitting at a desk, and I was guarding her. Kano, a ruthless murderer, was trying to kill us. But it got weird. At one point I managed to get the drop on him, and stab him to death. But he regenerated to full health and attacked us again. I killed him again and somehow cut him into 10 smaller pieces. I tossed the pieces around the house, far away from each other so he could not "reassemble". But one thing I didn't know: each piece of him would regenerate to an entire person. So now I had ten of him wandering around. One entered the room, and I hid in the curtains (wrapped a curtain around myself somehow). My plan was to jump out when he got close enough and stab him to death again. But I looked out of the window, and another Kano approached the house from the garden. I realized there was nothing I could do. The guy from the garden walked into the house, grabbed the Asian girl's head, and snapped her neck like a twig. I was seething with anger, but realized I was powerless to stop it.

I also vaguely remember being found by him (was I hiding behind a desk?), and later on surviving the encounter. Some people found me (my dad?), and I think I said that Kano had to be hunted down before he could cause more harm.
