      Smile Isthisit's workbook.

      Hey guys.

My name is Cal and I'm 25. I've had several lucid dreams since childhood but only realized the potential of them after discovering this forum. It has opened my eyes!!!

After some particularly vivid dreams in which I knew I was dreaming, I came across this forum. I read a lot and decided to enhance my LDing. After just 3 days of keeping a DJ, I had my first lucid which I would consider a 'proper' lucid. Instead of going 'oh my god I'm dreaming' then waking up, I managed to calm myself, float around and feel some weird sensations. It only lasted seconds but it has changed my life.

This LD was achieved by doing an RC in my dream after a girl in my dream asked me how to tell if I was dreaming. (Thanks kid!)

So far, I am trying to LD again, so this time I can stabilize the dream and have some fun. My problem in the first LD was:

      Bad vision (blurry, grainy, dark)
Hard to move (floating, but very heavy and took some work)
Also I had an insane feeling all over my body which shocked me, and a very loud, rushing noise in my ears which I couldn't get rid of.

I experience REM rebound a lot, also hypnogogic hallucinations sometimes and SP sometimes.
I sleep average 12 hours a night in the week, and rarely sleep at the weekends.
I rarely sleep in the same bed (work)

      During the day I;

Am VERY aware of my surroundings. Always have been. Constantly question reality naturally.
Started RC practice up to 20 times a day. Nose plugging, and counting fingers.
Keep a detailed and in depth DJ
Read and research and talk a lot about LDing

My goals are to gain full control over my dreams, and have fun!

      Welcome, Cal!

Your LDs will get longer with more experience. You can also read up on some stabilization techniqes, that will help you stabilize and make them longer.

Vision will get better when you stabilize and engage yourself inside the LD. You can also try yelling "clarity now", "focus now". Moving - even while asleep, it's hard to fly, because we know there is gravity. Try to tell yourself, that it's your dream and it has qualities that you assign to them and there is no gravity in your dream. Here is a tutorial about flying. And here about dream control..

Here is a tut about methods for DILD - RCs, mantras, awareness, DJ...

And the feeling of wind rushing my your face is typical sensation you get when entering lucid dream. Good luck

Thanks Gab! I really am getting into this and I must say it's really fun.

Last night I took 100mg B6 before sleeping. I didn't notice any effects but I will keep taking it for a week or so.

I tried WILD the other night, and did enter SP with some strange sensations and popping ears, but my excitement / fear woke me up. However it has encouraged me to practice more!

Finally, my dream recall is now incredible compared to before I kept a DJ. I'm amazed it works! But I do sometimes get an elevated heart rate / sweating and trembling at night. I believe these are anxiety attacks. I think my obsessing with mantras, and relaxing techniques as I'm falling to sleep gets me a bit worked up sometimes (what an idiot) I try to remain calm but I feel like I'm about to have a heart attack or pass out! This definitely isn't SP, as I am fully awake, often sitting up or getting a glass of water to try and sort myself out.

      But... thanks for the welcome!

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

      1. B6 sometimes gives me detailed drams, sometimes not. I also have 100mg pills, but found better results with just 50mg dose.

      2. Yeah, SP and HH can get crazy. Just try to keep in mind, that it can't harm you.

      3. Sometimes you get elevated heart rate and breathing while WILDing, because same things happen when we dream, and since we are still awake when dreaming starts, we may notice it. Also, your heart chakra may get more active so you feel the symptoms, but it's not actually your heart, just the sensations.

But - if you think this is your heart for some other reason, please pay attention to it and take action you feel is necessary.

      4. Glad your DJing is working for you!

And yes, it's great fun, indeed Happy dreams
