"Hello, Operator?"
In a lucid dream two days ago, I was looking for a "lucidity pill." It's a technique where you take a pill you believe to make you lucid dream.
Anyways, I picked up my old cell phone that I keep on my dresser, pressed zero and said "Hello, Operator? I'd like to order a lucidity pill." I put the phone in my pocket and walked off. Later, it did a little ringtone and I pulled it out. I pressed a little button on it that said "Email" and a little drawer popped out of the bottom containing the pill.
Anyways, I'm sure there are many other ways to use phones and the operator.
I'm also thinking the operator character might be used to communicate with your subconscious. Maybe.====lol define real====

Yeah that's a good idea, I might try it. You could go to a bar and order a lucidity shake. Or hit up a dream doctor for a lucidity injection right in the third eye.

I use phones to call and summon dream characters pretty often. I like the idea of ordering dream objects, too.

How about you get your phone and conntact the space station and have them beam down a beam that hits you and make you lucid much faster this way

Interesting idea, but not the sort of 'active' dream control many people are looking for. I'm not saying it isn't effective, it just seems weird to have someone...controlling it all.

I think it's a nice trick for the inexperienced at control like me. It's easier on the "willpower," so to speak. I haven't yet accomplished a proper LD where I'm able to control myself fully for a good chunk of "time."

eh... You have to remember that in dreams technology can act crazy. It might not work.
Just try reaching inside your pocket and thinking that there will be a pill there. But if your lucid... Why would you want a lucidity. I can understand taking a flying pill (for people who can fly). But...

I don't actually remember hearing any voice from the operator or paying any attention to the phone's screen or anything. It was more like a magic phone in my mind than an actual phone functioning the same as ones irl.

I use pretty similar method but i sort of talk to the A.I. of the dream as if it was some kind virtual reality, works for me when other control styles fail.
